Just received an order from chadstoolbox.com. It was the first time I’ve ordered from them. My experience was awesome. I will say that the website isn’t amazing or anything but, the prices are pretty great. Over all I’d describe the experience as no nonsense and straightforward. I had a question about when my order would ship and the reply was quick and clear. I don’t know for sure that they are a small operation but it felt like my little order mattered to them and that’s saying a lot in today’s online market. I’ll be ordering more from them in the future for sure. 👍

I’ve placed 8 orders this year so far and received all quickly even with the free shipping. This is my go to tool place now because they are the same price or cheaper than other sellers but without tax and free shipping. I was nervous at first based on online feedback but it makes me think all the anonymous reviews are from competitors ? I like their extensive Knipex Wera HAZET and Wiha tools which is most of what I buy.

I used to buy all my tools from Chads Toolbox. I had a tip break off of a new WERA T-handled torx wrench the first time I used it. I was applying very minimal force, so I took pictures and sent them to the dealer with an explanation of what had happened. Even trying to contact them about the issue a couple of times, I could not get them to respond. That’s ok, because I wrote off the manufacturer and the dealer. I would avoid this dealer; if things go perfect and you never have a problem, then it’s no big deal, but my experience has taught me that if you ever do have a problem, then you’re completely out of luck.

I Love Chad's Toolbox! I've been using Chad's Toolbox since 2021 as my only supplier for the exciting exotic European tools and it's been awesome. They sell the full lines from Wera, Knipex, NWS, Felo, even Beta and so many others. I first heard of these other brands through them, and I've found some really awesome tools like NWS pliers. It's fun to dig through their website and categories because they have such a huge variety of tools. You can find really good deals digging around their website, and they have discount categories and lots of sales and discount codes that come in their newsletter. I like to use the wishlists to gather things I'm interested in and order them when I know what I really want. They give you rewards and it's easy to use them to save extra money on more fun things. If I buy things that are in stock, they come very quickly, only a few days and when you are logged in it's easy to check your order status. Any time I have any questions, it's easy to email them and get great support. All in all I love to shop with them and they've helped me really improve the quality of the tools I depend on.

Wait Times - Never know if you will wait a week or over a month! Have to reach out and ask to cancel.

Bought a socket in Jun of 2023, 7 month later and order is still pending.

Great company can’t beat price would do business again and I seen some negative comments but yes it’s not super fast shipping but they work with you and I’m ok with that

Great selection, great prices, quick replies to 2 questions I had and I received the order within 5 days of placing the order and that was the 'free' shipping coming from Alaska. Would've been here a day earlier if not for a national holiday. All items are top notch and arrived in perfect shipping condition.

22 april orders some tools - only part was shipped the rest are still in transit

I placed an order over a week ago and absolutely nothing has happened. The website still doesn't show that I even have an open order but I definitely have my receipt from PayPal. I inquired about my order with the live chat tool which turns out isn't actually live, or chatting, or a tool because in 2 days no one ever responded. Fool me once, shame on you, but there won't be a second chance for Chad to make a fool out me a second time. I'm going to open a dispute with PayPal and then order from Amazon and\or Zoro.
Don't shop here if you're actually expecting to receive your order.

Chad is great! I’m a repeat customer and have ordered multiple times from ChadsToolBox.com, and I have never had any problems.

It’s important to understand that this is a small business — by which I mean, it seems to be Chad Chilstrom running the business office in Wyoming and his son/relatives/employees at the warehouse in Palmer, Alaska, due to their favorable tax laws.

His business is primarily focused on resellers, large repeat orders from businesses that will re-sell the tools at a retail mark-up, but aside from distribution, he also sells direct to consumers.

I’ve never had a problem. After I place an order, it typically ships out within a matter of days, and I have it within a week. Many tools are in stock in the warehouse (as is accurately indicated on the website). If the tools are not in stock, they must be ordered from the manufacturer, and it may take longer, and you just have to expect this.

This is the same with all the German tool distributors. Sometimes, you may get a delay as a result of a backorder or even a cancelation due to an item no longer being made. There is NO difference with ChadsToolBox and other distributors in this regard, except that other businesses will notify you immediately of any issues; whereas you may need to follow up with Chad to check if there will be any delays.

I’ve done this before, and that way I know when to expect an item will be shipped. The website uses a pseudo-“Text” customer support, which is actually e-mail. You’re not going to have someone respond within seconds, because Customer Support is … just Chad, replying to emails. He usually replies in an hour, but I have had to wait as long as eight hours for an email back.

So, in summary, it’s all about appropriate expectations. ChadsToolBox.com is a VERY small business run by Chad and his family. The tools you get are genuine, and you will generally get them within a week — the same as Zoro, KCTool, etc. However, you will be paying much lower prices in most cases with Chad; the trade off is that there are no fancy giveaways, the website is a bit difficult to navigate (have the manufacturer’s model number handy to help you find what you are looking for!), and Customer Service is not like Amazon. If those things are important to you, you may be better off elsewhere, but if you want to support a real small business owner, then I recommend ChadsToolBox!

Ordered some NWS tools from them and they were shipped promptly and delivered without issue. Excellent customer service as well; hand-written notes can go a long way.
