Would put 0 stars if I could
Would put 0 stars if I could - avoid the jag epace at all costs reg : OU18 WDP .
We had that car for 4 months it spent over two weeks twice in the garage for fuel issues that they had two attempts to correct it broke down at home a few miles away and on holiday 5 hours away from home - the last attempt put us in a dangerous situation according to the aa after breaking down on holiday - we were assured by the garage they had fixed it for the second time -their ‘specialist’ cut the wires to the fuel pump and twisted them back together and put black tape on them so live wires in the fuel pump ! Aa said we could have gone up in flames ! The AA said it was too dangerous to drive home Garage wouldn’t help us get back home they were not interested and to this day over a month later they have still not apologised for the distress and danger to our family and leaving us high and dry .the finance company supported us in rejecting this dangerous car straight away - I highly doubt they’ve ‘ fixed this issue’ - they are charlatans and the car was rejected last month by us (for being dangerous and with bodged dangerous repairs according to the AA)and the finance company -they helped the rejection along by continuing to tamper with the car to cover up what they’re done to the wiring to void the ongoing investigation even though they were told to inspect it only and not to attempt a repair as it was rejected by us and the finance company - they now have it up for sale at a 2500 reduction from our price in January . We are the carquay customer in their add they talk about they didn’t say the car is dangerous they can’t be trusted to repair anything and that they are the worst garage we’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with and ultimately that the customer had rejected the car - we have since bought a fantastic car from a very reputable garage please avoid these liars at all costs you will regret it !l and especially avoid this car like the plague unless you nearly want to end up in a pile up on the motorway like we could have done according to the AA!!!

Don’t trust this garage. They have led me down the garden path!
Bought a Range Rover Sport for cash without even knocking down the price only to have the engine warning light come on 30 mins after collecting it.
A terrible rattling noise in the engine
No engine liquid (blue for exhaust fumes), broken back drivers side window and then to top it off 7 weeks after having her had a major oil leak!! The agreed to take her and repair her only now they won’t drive her back to me and demand I pay them!! Also don’t buy their warranty. £675 and I was told covered engine gearbox turbo electrics etc. only to now find out it covers a max £2k!! Deceitful company. Watch this space as I will be calling the police if they continue down this unprofessional path
Found what appeared to be a lovely Merc…
Found what appeared to be a lovely Merc Cab on the web site, so made an approach. The vehicle had been reduced by £800 at this stage. First indication of sharp dealing then - You can pay a refundable deposit to hold the vehicle, there is someone else interested. I don't think so.
Second indication. Arrived to view, as booked. The car is filthy, has a list of defects as long as your arm that need doing and a set of alloys that actually resemble a cheese grater. The thing had seen more kerb edges than a council pavement layer. I hope the other interested party weren't disappointed.
Again, if I pay £200 deposit then they could get it into the workshop, sort it all out and have it ready in maybe a week. They would get the wheels 'as good as they could' - what does that even mean?
Question - shouldn't the vehicle be of 'satisfactory quality' Consumer rights act 2015, to be on sale? I think we may investigate that one a little further.
Fired off some buying signals, asked about any movement in the price - best we can do is probably £200.
They could have knocked me that £1k off, sorted the other bits and with the £1k I could have provided my own rims and tyres. Unless of course those other 'bits' were more than just little.
Back to trawling the internet then less than 4 hours later, checked the web site and low and behold, its been reduced by a further £1k.
Now if I hadn't had my suspicions already about this place I do now, I'm sure you would too. That last stunt just about sums it all up for me. Caveat emptor, buyer beware.
Absolute rip off
Bought a BMW 640d endless issues due to vibrations tyres all out of shape and Sidewalls collapsed on inners. Avoid at all costs, having to go through legal channels to rectify the issues spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds, dodgy mot and dodgy dealership. If anyone wants to contact me before you think of purchasing from them don't hesitate to ask for all the evidence I have before you buy.
Excellent Service & Value
Value for money not just on the BMW 3 series purchased but excellent Trade in Price for Golf. Before looking anywhere else would definitely recommend everyone should see what Car Quay will offer
During the Sales Process, & afterwards, all Car Quay staff every friendly + professional
Actually can't wait to buy my next car so I can meet them all again
Top quality customer service from start to finish
Top quality customer service throughout!
Brilliant customer service from Liam, he made my experience an absolute pleasure and hassle free.Any concerns or questions i had liam raised them straight away.
I had a couple of issues with regards to living a far distance away from the site and had issues waiting for my own car to sell before being able to pick my new car up from Car Quay , but liam was very understanding and happy to help and find solutions that helped me to make my purchase hassle free.
I have recently purchased my vehicle from here an amazing, high spec X3 and i must say the process from start to finish was amazing, smooth, kept updated and hassle free!
Will be recommending to family and friends
Thank you Liam
they drive you insane
bought 2 cars from them july 24, daughters while not presented the best( think steve wonder was there valeter) mine had a low pressure warning for a front tyre as soon as i started the car, and air con that didnt work.
over the year of the warrantee it was back and forth so much that i grew to hate the car, mostly because of their lack of communication, you call, they say they will call you back but it can be days,
they lie was told it was waiting for a shock absorber, strange when it never had one replaced and not mentioned in there service history.
and if they valet your car it will be worse than when it went in.
Also found issues with the car that should have been advisorys or failures on the MOT (maybe the valeter does their MOTs too?)
on a positive my car had an issue with the TPMS that ended up only being sorted after a year of owning the car, but fair play to them they did get there in the end.
i would definitely recomend getting any car inspected if you purchase it from Car Quay
Excellent
I can only describe my personal experience of Car Quay as perfect.
My purchase had a few faults that manifested over a short period and are not relevant to MOT standards. Car Quay was not aware of the issues; there was no pushback, no quibble, and a direct action taken by Car Quay to recover the car, fault-find, and rectify the issues.
I was offered a like-for-like courtesy car for the period whilst repairs were taken care of. During this period, Duncan Eyre made every effort to update me on progress and ensure I was satisfied with it.
Considering that I live in Scotland, they arranged the car's collection, replaced it with a quality vehicle that met my needs, and ensured that all legal requirements were met at no additional cost to me.
I received my car back today, and all the issues are completely fixed. Both Car Quay and I had clarity and understanding, along with empathy, throughout the process, ensuring that all parties maintained dignity and well-being and concluded with a highly recommended satisfaction guarantee.
I would recommend Car Quay to first-time and experienced buyers looking for a quality vehicle for every budget, and I would give it my 5-Star rating.
Absolute pleasure from start to finish.
Absolute pleasure from start to finish.
I would highly recommend car quay for their honesty and friendly service.
I hope to buy through them again in the future.
Excellent service, even better aftersales care!
I recently bought a 2018 BMW 116d from Car Quay. This was my first car purchase in over 20 years and as such was a bit “nervy”: I was out of touch with the process and so had to put a lot of trust in Car Quay's salesman, quality of service, and aftercare.
Duncan handled my questions and the subsequent sale very smoothly – personable and polite, he greeted me on arrival and guided me through viewing the car, setting up the tax and warranty details, to handing me the keys, without any pressure or brevity.
Jack provided first class aftersales care, going to the ends of the Earth (little exaggeration) to ensure my complete satisfaction with my car and my buying experience.
Above all, Car Quay gained my trust; I will definitely be back to buy my next car from them!
Can't answer a simple enquiry
I approached them through their website to arrange a test drive for THREE cars. The response I got was over a day late for the requested time and clearly didn't reflect my enquiry.
"Thank you for your recent enquiry on the BMW X3 we currently have for sale. Great news the vehicle is still available and I am happy to help with any questions you might have."
I then sent a follow up email see if anyone was prepared to be more helpful and got a call the following day by someone who also couldn't see how my enquiry hadn't been addressed. His only objective was to defend his colleague and dismiss the fact that I had had no specific answer to any of my questions. I will buy elsewhere as I can't imagine how you would be treated if the car you bought had issues.
Very professional and friendly experience.
We found the entire team very friendly and welcoming when we got there, without any sales pressure. We found the car that we was interested in, so we approached Andy Howe, who was part of the sales team and fired a few questions at him. Andy gave us the answers. After a test drive, we told Andy that we would like to buy it. The sales process was done with professionalism and ease. I would highly recommend Car Quay to anyone and I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Excellent
Excellent service, all queries answered and any questions. Have personally gone above and beyond for me and my car, any faults rectified in sufficient time also. Thank you 🙏🏼
No Sale but great service
A big thank you to Duncan Eyre from Carquay helping me source my next vehicle, whilst on this occasion it did not result in a sale , the service I received from the team was excellent. Great company Thank you
Probably the worst experience of my…
Probably the worst experience of my life in buying a car todate
Probably the worst experience of my life in buying a car todate. First car we bought from them arrived with what turned out to be an extremely questionable no advisory MOT cert that when the vehicle was inspected by an independent chain, required approx £1000 worth of safety work, Brakes (discs and pads all round), 2 new front tyres and leaking rear suspension. The garage told us that this work was supposed to be done by the garage that MOT'd it and hadn't. My question - if your internal workshop of allegedly trained technicians couldn't spot these basics then they aren't technicians at all. Car eventually went back to them after gearbox / PTU failed. We thought, hey give them another chance, and took another vehicle from them. It was delivered with an outstanding safety recall that they said they didnt have time to change (Steering Rack). manufacturer changed this within 72 hours with a new steering rack due to 2 of the bolts having been sheared and where just rolling around in the engine bay. Then 3500miles in 7 months and a vehicle that cost over 10k and was described by their own website as "Quality Cars, Outstanding Service" is currently having a new engine fitted at our expense as the garage wouldn't accept any responsibility for it under the CRA2015. The damage has been verified by 2 independent specialist garages as being present before we ever took possession of the car. I asked why the problems weren't picked up by their technicians and the answer was they changed the oil before selling it. REALLY !! The first time was unfortunate the second time speaks reams about the vehicles that are being bought and sold and checked by this company and the so called technicians they employ. Through my experience I would say that they would struggle to fit a a tyre let alone do a service iaw manufacturers guidelines. If you want to buy a decent car my advice is DO NOT SHOP HERE!!
Fanastic business
Fanastic business, great cars and lovely staff too.

Excellent customer service. No pressure selling from Duncan, he arranged a test drive.

I purchased a 2013 Mercedes CLS from the guys and can't recommend Carquay highly enough. The car had a small part of the back seat dirty the guys took care of it instantly , no pressure as I had a drive with the car, Also the aftersales team is great as I bothered them with a few questions about the features of the car. No need for the provided warranty as the car runs like new after nearly 6 months
