We have been regular travellers with BF for years & used to recommend. In February we were on holiday, there was a problem with the boat that meant they cancelled 1 of 2 cabins before travel. As we were travelling to actually get the ferry the whole crossing was cancelled by text/email, prompting a panic to book any crossing we could to get home. Our experience on board was poor. We are owed money. Customer services are just not interested & treat me as a nuisance. I have asked numerous times to be put in touch with someone more senior and an ignored. We won’t be renewing our Club Voyage membership.

Très choquée d'apprendre que cette compagnie continuent de transporter des bébés veaux vivants qui sont arrachés à leurs mère alors qu'ils viennent de naître...
La souffrance des vaches est terrible mais le sort réservé à ces pauvres bébés l'ai plus encore...

STOP à ces transports, les animaux ne sont pas nos propriétés et encore moins sur terre pour nous servir.

They’ve hidden thousands of comments on socials. Keep tagging them to make it clear: calves aren’t cargo!

ontime ferry from spain to uk. great food onboard. cabin immaculately clean and would recommend as its far easier than driving all through spain and france to get to the uk

Cette compagnie transporte des veaux pendant 18 heures, des bébés non sevrés, et il ne les alimentent même pas pendant, ni à boire ni à manger…😡. Cette compagnie n’a aucune morale.

Le transport de veaux, même pas sevrés, dans des conditions inacceptables : voilà vos engagements… Il est temps de changer ces pratiques.

Great crossing weather helped.
I just missed my boat and they were very helpful rebooking at no extra cost.
The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great shower with fantastic water pressure.
Great crossing, slept well in a comfortable bed and was fresh and ready the next morning for a safe journey home

I've always used Brittany Ferries in the past, but am disappointed to learn that they carry live cargo now for export. I'm no animal rights activist, but I find it abhorrent to think of animals being subjected to these journeys, especially the young unfed calves. Will avoid in future until they stop this practice.

Booking was easy

Appalling company who routinely transport live, unweaned calves for slaughter in the most atrocious conditions. Do not use this company. And the worst is that conditions on board are not much better for humans. Terrible customer service and frankly dirty. Avoid!

Cancelled ferries, no notice (we confirmed with staff that they knew the ferry back was not going to be working days in advance), ridiculously long delays with no compensation and not even the offer of somewhere comfortable to wait with a complementary cup of tea. I almost always use the train (not perfect but at least they communicate!) and I will not get back on Brittany again.

Unweaned calves transported by Brittany Ferries. Shame.

Very happy with ship, cabin and staff which have been consistently good over the years. One of my pleasures was dining in the a la carte restaurant offering the most amazing buffet selection but sadly this is no more and sadly this applies to breakfast also, no more fresh coffee served, only queuing up to serve yourself from machines.

If pet-friendly cabins sell out so quickly on the ferries to Spain, why are you not making available more pet-friendly cabins? It's so annoying, seems impossible to book a return ticket without having to put my dogs in the kennels, if I manage to find a return ferry that allow pets at all, some months there is not even return ferries available. Not everyone wants for their dogs to have such a stressful experience. Dogs entering the UK have VERY limited routes, please ALLOW MORE PET-FRIENDLY CABINS in your ferries. There is clearly a high demand, stop overcomplicating our existence.
