I ordered something a month ago

I ordered something a month ago. I was told it was delivered by Briscoes, I had to ring the courier company myself who told me it had been delivered to Whangarei, I'm in Auckland. So I told briscoes, they said they would have to check, still waiting. This is really bad service. I will not be shopping at briscoes again.

Waited for over a week so I emailed and asked where it was Briscoes sent me a tracking link that didn’t work and when I look up the website to check my order it says that it’s been delivered.
Just not to my house.
Totally unacceptable service

I placed an online order and almost everything they sent out was wrong. Almost 2 months after purchasing and sending items back I am still regularly having to contact them for my refund, multiple times being told I should have it within 2 days it never comes. Then one email I had been communicating with just stopped working and flicking the emails back saying unable to be sent. Customer Service is terrible and the whole online system is terrible.

I have been into the Whangatei store…

I have been into the Whangatei store several times over the last 6 months looking for items in soft furnishings homeweares. The quality of the items have go ne downhill. The cushions, throws, sheets and towels are not good now. I spoke to the customer care team. About it and I was informed that is what the buyers have decided on now I wll not be making any purchases and will be shopping elsewhere now Briscoes us selling poor quality and un-inspiring g goods now.

I also do not order online any longer. Briscoes uses Aramex Couriers and their service is dreadful. They either leave parcels sitting in their depots longer than necessary or they do not follow instructions and put parcels in wrong mailboxes. They also do not follow leave requests at a particular spit.

Item never received and no follow-up

I ordered items from Briscoes and it never arrived.

The courier left the parcel near an unlocked gate without my permission. I didn’t give Authority to Leave, wasn’t contacted before delivery, and never received the item. The spot it was left was open and anyone could have taken it.

I’ve contacted Briscoes multiple times but haven’t had a proper response or solution. It’s frustrating having to chase this when I did nothing wrong.

Until this is sorted with a refund or replacement, I wouldn’t recommend ordering online from Briscoes.

Absolutely let down by Briscoes big time

I have a 2 piece set of all of the made in Japan, Kon-Iro pieces. There are only two of us, so it makes perfect sense. So when I saw some of the KonIro pieces on sale, I grabbed the remaining items I wanted, which were 2 dinner plates w6cm and 2 small oblong serving dishes, as well as other items. But unfortunately there are people that work for Briscoes who haven’t been trained properly in packing breakable items. For most all care is taken and I understand that there will be breakages. But who in the right frame of mind, would wrap two dinner plates in bubble wrap and place them in a plastic bag and expect them to arrive in one piece. The order came from Queenstown town and came to the Wellington region and the bag was delivered by a very embarrassed courier driver. I heard the bag of broken bits get placed at the door. I did take photos and contacted Briscoes, they did nothing like they promised the would we I contacted them, so a week later I contacted them again and they requested two new plates. But alas I will be eating alone, as only one plate arrived and today the cancelled the other and were issuing a refund. But they screwed up. If it was packed properly the first time or if they had followed up when I phoned them the first time, I might have had. My plates. The service was absolute crap. No phone call, just an email. I do have the photos as I was opening the broken plates at delivery. It’s not about the money, it about the lack of care and follow through that I’m upset about.

communication issues with online

communication with these guys is not great..... last time i tried the chat doesn't work.......overloaded......... the phones don't work........ overloaded and facebook messenger is the only thing that works but can take days for a response! late arrival of goods and if you want to return rurally its impossible they just can't give you a label. on about contact x5 still with no success. items arrive poorly packaged one broke. disappointed in ability to contact them with online order issues.

Worst online after sales support

The quality of a company is judged by their customer support. Well this is the worst example of abhorrent online/email support I have ever experienced.

Brick and mortar is nice but online support is just a barrel of monkeys, accomplishing nothing.

I had 6 separate tickets opened for this issue. Two shipping labels for goods that were supposed to be shipped back. Never picked up. Repeating the same information well over a dozen times, even with a sales record in front of support staff.

All my tickets closed with no resolution.

Another Negative Review

Online it said my order was in stock but 3 to 7 days delivery. I wanted for Xmas so checked if my order was in stock in Tauranga and yes it was. I depended on friend to go to store to purchase and found they were out of stock. The store was busy but no one available to see if more coming in and when etc. I rang store . No 1 played music until a while later cut off. I reran and opted for line 3. Same thing. No answer machine and music was eventually cut off. I have read the reviews all saying similar things re the Tauranga store re stock not available when it says online it is, people going to store and wasting there time, no help and I read some refer to the rude staff. I am sitting here writing this when I see an ad on TV WHICH IS MISLEADING

Lousy service

I ordered a wallet that could only be bought online. Briscoes messaged the next day that it would arrive in 3-5 business days. 2 days later we were informed it had been picked up in Melbourne. It floated round Australia for a week, then another week in NZ before delivery. No updates, no help from their help desk.

Update - Item still shows as delivered NOT received - The chat function does not work - even though you receive emails telling you to use the chat function - after 4 days trying and the contact centre putting me directly to a auto callback system they called me after 2hrs - I asked a nr of questions why we are not told that delivery is from Australia and that the delivery is 10days from 'despatch' - which can be anything - the international track and trace link doesnt work and they can't tell me when i will get my item. The agent was not able to answer the questions saying it must be an error - when I asked about the conflicting info what she is telling me v. what is on my order information on Briscoes website - again no answer and I said I am actively going to make sure people know how scammy they are - she simply disconnected the call!
THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN misleading customers - and not providing a fair and reasonable service or a method to contact (that works) if there are problems - this surely is against the Consumers Guarantee Act and the Fair Trading Act.

Scammy pricks!

Scammy pricks!! 9 items out of 14 collected, yet happy to take my money & no follow up. Even the packing slip was incorrect so have to muck around to get in touch & go back to collect what should have been given in the first place. Useless mongrels, do not recommend Click & Collect it's obviously way too hard!

I ordered a Joseph Joseph kitchen tray it arrived with a missing piece. I have now followed this up over a three month period 4 emails. It's a missing plastic tray just sort it out! Stop sending me automated emails.

It took fourteen days to arrive from a partnership ( I say drop shipping ) Don't buy online from Briscoes, it's unpleasant.

Worst online shopping experience I have…

Worst online shopping experience I have ever had. Ordered a radio from their website, only after I received the tracking information was it disclosed the item was shipping from Australia. It finally ended up being delivered after 4,weeks which is well outside the 3-7 business days promised on their website. Customer service is abysmal - I got the feeling the customer support peeps are used to people complaining about their poor service. Also, Briscoes be upfront about where your items ship from.
