4 years ago I purchased a soundtouch speaker/ Internet radio . Last week I get an email saying in 3 days time bose will no longer support this model, meaning I now have a very expensive bluetooth speaker. Very poor service from an alleged premium company. I won't be buying ANYTHING from bose again

So disappointed with Bose, my SoundTouch speaker works perfectly (after all good quality speaker tend to last decades) however Bose have removed most of the functionality from the speaker because the technology is too old and expensive to support.
They offered a discount on a new product but that’s hardly the point, the one I have works perfectly.

My Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker provided…
My Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker provided great quality audio, much better than Alexa speakers, but they have discontinued the online radio service for it which has made it as good as dead. What’s worse is they did it with no notice and I was unable to contact them when it stopped working, I only found out when I googled it. BOSE: I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER OF YOUR PRODUCTS. AGAIN.

This company doesn’t live up the standards when it comes to their marketing gimmick campaigns., They are advertising up to £300 discounts on trade in but when I tried to trade no discounts was given and when I complained to the company? No response. Very unprofessional service
Be careful of Bose
Purchased, from a Bose dealer, some years back an Internet radio home system. Supposed to be future proof. This no longer works as they have told me 'a management decision was made to withdraw support' now I have an expensive silent item in my living room. Only compensate is a trade in giving me £20 off an overpriced unrelated Internet speaker.

Bose stand einmal für verlässliche, sehr gute Qualität. Jetzt werden einfach zentrale Funktionen bei Produkten deaktiviert, wodurch ehemals teure Internetradios zu einfachen Lautsprechern degradiert werden. Jetzt habe ich 2 unglaublich teure Bluetoothboxen… mit nutzlosen Tasten drauf. Einfach nur enttäuschend - da muss man auch nicht länger viel Geld einem solch unzuverlässigem Anbieter hinterherwerfen. Für solche Praktiken kann man auch gleich irgendwelche chinesischen Produkte kaufen!
SHOCKING CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Ive been a Bose customer for over 20 years and been very happy up to this week, I have a Bose Acoustimass Home Theater Cinema, two cars with Bose systems in them and 12 pieces of SoundTouch items ranging from 10s to a couple of Wave music systems and this week they have shut down the Soundtouch cloud base meaning my Soundtouch speakers no longer link together to sync music throughout my house and from what I can see no replacement. What customer support is that!! and WHAT A WASTE Of MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!!
Bose. Excellent hardware but short life software
Bose produce good quality products with exceptionally good sound however their software changes frequently and they don't seem to care that these software changes render the features of the product useless. Last update now means I can no longer use radio settings on the speaker but am now reliant on using my phone. This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened with Bose. I consider after paying a premium price my product should keep all its functionality for many years.

Had my bose speakers for a few years now . Whenever there was an issue Technical support was always excellent. Now my speakers will not connect to WiFi. Absolutely no support. Finished with Bose as customer service / is non existent

I know have 5 SoundTouch speakers around my home at a cost of well in excess of £1000 and they are now pretty much useless. Bose sold them as being able to play DAB through the app which they have now given up on. I will never again buy Bose.what a terrible way to treat customers. Wish I could have given zero stars.
SoundTouch App
Bose didn’t “pull the plug” on the app itself, but they did end the SoundTouch cloud service on May 6, 2026, because the older SoundTouch systems (introduced in 2013) can’t be supported long term anymore.
That’s why the app can’t connect to the internet for things like presets and browsing radio services, even though local controls still work.
Shame they didn't tell me that when i purchased two SoundTouch speakers from them, I will not recommend or buy any of their products again

Products are useless, technology is awful and customer service is worse than both of them combined! Will never waste my money with these hopeless chancers again.

Bose ended SoundTouch support, I have 5 speakers as a home system. Now useless as only a Bluetooth speaker…
As a life long supporter, they have lost my custom, will never purchase a Bose items again.

Bose have cheated SoundTouch customers
Bose make good quality audio equipment but the company has withdrawn App support for SoundTouch even though people have been buying new equipment recently ( some still for sale). It means that SoundTouch models cannot use wi fi and the presets now don’t work,
One of the key features for me was that I didn’t need to use my phone to connect a radio station via Blu tooth. I and many others paid a premium to get this functionality - what a waste of money. Now I have to faff about to listen to the radio. I hope Bose lose a lot of business - they are not to be trusted.

Hopeless! They have a support site which I have phoned four times today as I’m trying to help a pensioner who had bought a soundwave and can’t update it as it’s being discontinued - It immediately cuts off. They’re not taking calls! No one cares!
DONT BUY BOSE is the only message I have!

Spend decent money on their hardware and stops being supported. Have a sound touch and just learnt they can’t be bothered to keep it going. Won’t be buying anything from Bose again!
