Bad experience
Very disappointing experience with BookMyForex today. I specifically called their customer care twice today (11:15 AM and 11:56 AM) to confirm the availability of USD and CAD forex currency. Their team clearly assured me that the currency was available and promised same-day delivery if I placed the order before 1 PM.
Based on this assurance, I placed the order at 12:04 PM. Payment was completed by 12:13 PM, and all required documents were uploaded and verified by their executive by 12:25 PM. Despite completing everything promptly from my side, I got a call from their Hyderabad branch around 12:45PM stating that they do not have sufficient forex to fulfill my order. Then there was absolutely no communication or status update from BookMyForex about the delivery of my order until 5:17PM.
Only after I personally called them again at 5:18 PM did their executive inform me that the order had been delayed due to “insufficient currency availability” and that delivery would now happen only tomorrow by 9 PM.
This is highly unprofessional and misleading. If the currency was not available, why was I assured multiple times before payment that same-day delivery was guaranteed? Customers plan their travel and forex requirements based on such commitments. Keeping customers uninformed for hours after taking payment reflects extremely poor service and lack of accountability.
Right now, I have no option except to wait until tomorrow and HOPE THIS IS NOT TURNING INTO A SCAM. Definitely not the reliable and transparent service they claim to provide.
