Shopping for some new walking boots. Logan was really helpful and knowledgeable.

Great selection of products in the Lincoln store, picked up a nice fleece for working in the winter. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I’m not often moved to write reviews such as this, but our experience at Blacks yesterday warrants that this be done. We visited the Lincoln store yesterday to stock up on some warm/waterproof clothing for an upcoming trip to Snowdonia. We found everything we needed, at very reasonable prices for such good quality items. The gentleman that served us (Stuart) was excellent to deal with. He was very knowledgeable about the products that we had questions about, but didn’t pester us which made it as good a shopping experience as it could be. Another associate even brought our dogs a wee treat which they greatly appreciated, we’re loving the dog friendliness vibe in Lincoln just as an aside, and Blacks was brilliant in this respect also. And to top it all off with a cherry we even received a £40 discount as a result of our National Trust membership! Will definitely be heading back to Blacks first for any future outdoor clothing requirements.

Logan at the Lincoln store was brilliant. I was looking for some new hiking boots and he was great, lots of knowledge on different boots, didn’t mind when I tried on lots of different pairs! An asset to the team!

Tom the assistant working in the shoe department was fantastic. Helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Made me feel as if finding a suitable pair of walking shoes was his priority. Great service.

They had the waterproof jacket in stock that I’ve had my eye on for a while AND some shorts that I already owned but had been looking for to buy a second pair.

There was a male member of staff who unlocked a changing room for me and another who replaced the hangers nicely on the clothing I’d tried on. That will be why the store is so tidy!

My husband asked if the jacket could be price matched as it was available for a few quid less in another store. This was done absolutely with no fuss for which I was really grateful for.

Also had a lovely and funny chat with Becky on the checkout.

Will be in Lincoln a bit more often in the near future and will certainly visit this store again.

Lincoln branch: The assistant upstairs was amazingly helpful and new his stuff about camping gear and walking shoes. We found lots of useful gadgets that I didn't know I needed!

Placed a order with Black’ s the site was easy to access and use, product description spot on , I received my order within four days, excellent customer service, used online after my first visit to the Lincoln store. The staff in store also provided excellent service, they were polite, friendly and helpful. In all shopping online and in store at Black’s it was a first class experience and will continue to use Black’s, fantastic service.

Sam the sales advisor was very helpful, nothing was to much trouble as we where a pain. Trying different footwear styles sizes, but my wife bought a pair and I did. Many thanks to blacks..... 😊👍
