Went to get a boot fit and buy a pair of boots. The staff were really helpful and had lots of valuable information. Very good experience.

The price I paid was great for the coat I purchased

I don't know his name, but in his 20's dark brown hair slender lad, clerk 2 on receipt (who's Dad has had a Berghaus coat for 26 years that still works well) was very knowledgeable about walking boots. Really helpful, gave some good pointers about each of the 3 pairs of boots he brought out. As well as knowledge, he was very patient. I'd not realised that it had gone past 8pm, but there was no pressure to hurry up from him or his colleague. My fella thanked them for staying to sort us out, and they were both very pleasant, and polite young men. I've been looking for walking boots for about a year on and off, their knowledge, patience and the variety of stock meant I succeeded in getting some. Will defo visit again!

Charles and Mike were super helpful with their knowledge of the products available and kept my requirements at the heart of their advice.

Mike was exceptional and very knowledgeable kitting us out for my sons D of E!

Bought a pair of Scarpa walking boots. Assistance from Dave was much appreciated - very informed about the range of products.

Amazing service. The mosquito net I wanted wasn’t available in store so the gentleman ordered it online for me whilst I was in store and it arrived with free delivery the next day. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Excellent assistance and advice from Dave the store manager. We were a stressed out family with a Duke of Edinburgh kit list and a reluctant teenager but we were put at ease and left feeling much calmer!

I was assisted by Charlotte who was very helpful! I found the items I was looking for, the whole experience was excellent! I was able to browse without being pressured. And when I needed assistance Charlotte was there! Thank you!

Went to buy some walking boots on Saturday. I thought my requirements were a little bit different due to my insoles and weird feet, but the sales assistant was extremely knowledgeable about the shoes and made recommendations and observations on want shoe suited my needs best.

Also we had been to almost every single outdoor/walking based shop at j32 that day and the knowledge and expertise was just superior at Blacks. It made me so much more confident in my purchase.

The two shop Assistants, Liv and Charlotte could not have been more friendly and helpful.
They are a credit to the store. (Junction 32)

By the way the Merrell boots I purchased were way cheaper than anywhere else.

Having made a great job of advising me on boots, I went back for some hiking waterproofs.
The knowledge of the staff are what sets Black's apart. Olivia was able to advise me on what she had used for the same terrain.
I am sure I am now much better prepared for the fabulous British weather.

Got a nice jacket at a very good price, and all with great service from Mike. Will definitely shop here again.

What a pleasant experience today,I needed some walking shoes/boots. A very friendly and knowledgable girl called Charlotte C talked me through the pros and cons of each type and after I asked her to go back and get me a different size or type for what seemed like many times I eventually decided which ones!! She was very patient and a pleasure. I would like to say a big thank you to her and to say she is a credit to the company.

Staff at Castleford Outlet were great today. Dealt with the return of a Rab jacket most splendidly. As always, very knowledgeable about product and very polite and friendly.

Unhappy experience. Walked into blacks and was greeted as normal. Browsing for some new walking gear but was pestered by a guy with ginger hair 3-4 times and told him I would let him know when I needed him. Apparently that wasn’t enough so I ended up walking out. Will not be returning
