Just purchased my sons first bike…

Just purchased my sons first bike Yamimoto-ty125. Jack was absolutely fantastic in every aspect from helping me choose the right one for my son who has a damaged hand, through to the purchase and always keeping me updated on the delivery, he's really helpful, polite and friendly. Just delivered about an hour ago and the bike is perfect. I would highly recommend Biking Direct to anyone who is looking for a motorbike.

Avoid this company

Awful company I would have given 0 stars if it let me. Sold me an electric bike costing over 3k and it arrived not working. Company wouldn’t help me for months and months and then finally asked me to send it back for them to look at it for them to then not refund me, the kept the bike and are now ignoring me. I will be taking them to court to get my money back. I’ve emailed, called and written a letter to them and they are still not refunding or replying

LS2 helmet

Ordered a LS2 helmet, a GALDAM 2, with stars on it. Received a LS2, a Fury. Not the one I ordered. Was told the one I wanted was discontinued. Despite still showing as being in stock. Some BS story about the P/N being the same. Told to return it or keep it. No real apology or tenner knocked off. Won't be using them again.

We use part numbers a lot to ensure customers get the correct product, the part numbers are supplied by the manufacturer just like a barcode.

There has been an issue with this order as we can see and the part number has indeed been used on another helmet (Newer design of the same helmet) which is the exact same model and almost identical in colour. This is certainly a combination of technical error (manufacturer reusing a code for an almost identical helmet), and human error – we could maybe have examined the image better. We do ship a lot of items and a quick glance at the product is usually enough to ensure it’s the correct thing. We have instructed our IT department to look into this further and update the product to the latest design as the one you wanted and order is now discontinued.

We did offer to collect the helmet and issue a full refund, or as a good will gesture we offered a discount but as you had not replied we assumed you had perhaps decided to keep the helmet and possibly liked it even more than your initial choice – these things do happen. We have no way of knowing unless someone lets us know. The last time we spoke you said you were going to have a think and let us know but you decided to contact us through trustpilot instead.

We have no issue in rectifying issues – we server thousands of customers every year and customer service is one of the thing we feel we excel at- issues do happen but a 1 start review for something completely out of our control is a little harsh. The helmet manufacturer has reused the same code on a new helmet and we are unfortunately the ones getting the 1 star review for a decision that they have made. This was not us making an excuse, it is an actual genuine fact.

If you still want this resolved simply get in touch, we are still more than happy to help you out.

Awful service.

Awful service.

Bought a new fantic bike in 2025. Delivery was slow and unreliable, but I accepted the excuses at the time, hoping it was a one off.

Had an indicator failure on the bike less than 12 months later and only 400 miles on the bike and given the fob off of 'can you show me the service history' to make a claim.

So, I reply with this is not relevant and get no reply, chase and again no reply. I explain in my email that the service history is irrelevant, but they couldnt care less.

Customer service is truly awful, if you can go somewhere else as Biking direct dont care once they have your money.

Lets address the 2 points you are unhappy with for this order.

Shipping: The manufacturer delayed the shipping of the bike to the UK by 2 or 3 months for whatever reason they had at the time, this was completely out of our control and we did keep you updated as much as possible with all and any major changes, but this issue was 100% the fault of Fantic themselves not BikingDirect.

With regards to the bike, if you contact the manufacturer – Fantic, they will confirm that the service history is required in order to submit a warranty claim for anyone – this is not our requirement, it’s the requirement of the manufacturer – so your review in this instance should not be directed at us. We appreciate you are frustrated, but we are not the manufacturer, we are a small family run business compared to the likes of Fantic and we are following the rules set out by them. If we don't, we can lose our franchise. It’s the same for all manufacturers, they make the decisions, we follow the rules.

You’ve given us a 1 star review for something you have owned without fault (until now) for a year for issues that were either the fault of the manufacturer (delay in shipping) or because the manufacturer has rules in place that you don’t feel are relevant. As a small family business we feel that is rather harsh.

We were (and still are) happy to submit a warranty claim for you but the manufacturer requires the service history in order to process the warranty claim therefore is actually very relevant indeed.

We are genuinely incredibly busy and we do try to reply to everyone through all media (socials, email, text, whatsapp, calls etc) but sometimes these things happen, it wasn’t personal. If you were able to supply the information needed at the time, that would have activated the warranty claim and the part would have been requested and the communication would not have broken down.

We are disappointed that you feel that your experience warrants a 1 star review, but you are certainly within your right to put whatever you want on here, but you must understand that we are simply following the rules set out by the manufacturer.

We genuinely hope you enjoy your bike, it’s a lovely machine, if you have any questions or want to discuss things feel free to get in touch with us.

Good experience buying 1st bike

Very good experience with biking direct. They got me the latest model of the bike I enquired about which arrived well within the timeframe we discussed when I asked them to place the order for me.

Extremely happy with the bike, delivered today in perfect condition, fueled, taxed and ready to go. Many thanks Folks!

There would be no stars if it were…

There would be no stars if it were possible. The customer service is appalling. They promise 3-day delivery if you pay £450, but it's day 19 and still no delivery. They keep promising delivery days. Still, then on the day it's supposed to be delivered, they change it. I have had to rearrange my holiday and work due to this. Still, they have no care for this at all; they fraudulently sent a handover to the finance company 5 days ago to release funds to themselves. The funds aren't supposed to be released until delivery. Try to get this dealt with, and they pass the buck, telling me the person who put this order through is on holiday and can't be dealt with by anyone else.

Sent me the wrong bike

Registered and sent the wrong bike to me after nearly 2 months waiting for a pre-order.

They refunded my cost for sending logbook back to them, they also refunded my order, apologised and decided to cut ties.

I gave them the option to either order the correct bike or refund my order and i would leave a negative review. They treated this as a threat and was worried i would use the premise of a negative review to seek out other things in future; hence them cutting ties.

• Good communication

• Fast refund

• Poor handling of order

Bike came with several scratches & small hole in seat

I called them and apparently brand new bikes always come with scratches on. I was advised if I sent it back to them for replacement ild probably end up with one that’s a lot worse….

When buying something brand new for £2,099 it shouldn’t have scratches

Picked up my beautifully prepped Voge 900DSX today from Biking Direct. Jack and his staff have been excellent throughout the whole ordering/buying/riding-away process. An absolute pleasure to deal with.

I rarely find myself in a position to…

I rarely find myself in a position to label a review as negative, yet my experience with them has been nothing short of disappointing. Despite ordering the bike on March 29th and receiving confirmation on the 30th, the subsequent days have been marked by a relentless pursuit from my end for updates, with little to no response from their side.

By April 4th, I was informed that the bike had passed its PDI tests and delivery was arranged. On the 5th, the log book arrived in the post. However, since then, there has been absolute silence. Despite assurances from "Jack" that the last day for delivery would be the 15th, there has been no sign of the bike.

Attempts to reach them through Facebook and email have yielded no results, and their phone number seems to be out of service. I sincerely hope that someone from BikingDirect reads this and takes action to deliver my bike as promised.

What adds to the frustration is seeing other reviews where individuals who ordered as late as April 4th have already received their bikes.

Delivery issue

They were brilliant in terms of getting the bike sorted and were really efficient however when it had come to the delivery that was my main issue here! I asked that it was hurried if possible as I needed the bike to get places and they had informed me it wouldn’t be picked up until Tuesday as Easter Monday the courier wasn’t collecting (which is fine) however I received a message today to say that the bike will be getting picked up today!!! (Thursday). This is shocking as it should have been picked up Tuesday and then would have perhaps arrived today! The communication from Biking direct to myself once everything had been signed was poor and it was really a case of now we have the money good luck in my opinion with no additional help. I do hope nothing ever goes wrong with the bike upon receiving it as I’m unsure the company would even get back to me. Honest and non bias review - 3 stars as I still recognise the help given at the beginning of the process of finding my bike was good!

Lexmoto XDV 300

Recently bought a Lexmoto XDV 300 Scooter from Biking Direct. Team are very friendly, website is nice and clear, ordering and payment was easy too - very handy as I was buying long distance. They prepped the bike up read for exactly the date I needed, and the handover was well explained by two team members. Nice and easy just how it should be :)
