Better - New Barnet Leisure Centre Recensioni 

The New Barnet Lesiure centre is excellent.
It has a very large pool. There is a also a smaller for young toddlers too.

You can book swimming sessions online through their Better app which works well. The "Pay as you Go" deal is very good. You can pay through the app with debit/credit card.

The changing rooms are large and clean. Well done to the cleaners. There are lots of lockers. The lockers require only one £1 coin to put away your belongings. Then you have a little key you can strap onto your wrist like a watch until your swimming session is finished. This is very handy.

The water in the swimming pool is quite cold. It would be better if it was a little warmer.

Professional and friendly staff. Well done to the team. I commend them.

Overall, the place is clean.

There is an eating area where you can order food, sit and eat. There are sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. There is something called an "Angle Cafe" which sells these bubble teas. It is very nice. Available in a variety of juicy flavours. Perfect place to sit and drink drink tea or a latte after a nice workout. There is a park outside which is lovely. It has a great view.

The only downside is that I have to pay to park my car.
I don't like that. So I knocked off one star. I have to use a car to get here because it's too far away from where I live in order to walk to here. This is because all the other pools in my area are bad.

There is also library here. You can read before or after some exercise. They have a selection of books which is okay for a small library. Unfortunately, it has very short opening hours which is quite bad. Opens at 4pm only to close at 7pm on a Thursday. They need to get some staff here. For me this is not a problem because I am not a regular here. I only come here for a swim. I had a quick browse and found some nice books I never heard of.

Finally, as a side note: There is a gym but I haven't used it. Memberships cost £54 per month which is way to expensive for me. The £35 off peak membership is no use to anyone who has a full time job. They need to either change their hours or prices. At least this is something for them to consider.

The facility is fantastic. The gym is well equipped. The large pool is great. Always lifeguards present. It is simple to book and I have never experienced over-crowding.
The staff at the New Barnet facility are all so welcoming and helpful. Mukendi, Oksana and Krasimira on the reception always greet you warmly as you enter. And Billy, one of the personal trainers, has devised a personal programme for me which is really helpful. As I have mobility problems.
I am already feeling some benefits and its only month 1 !

Staff were so helpful on my first visit. I really appreciated that. The facilities were very clean which makes such a difference to the experience
