Outstanding and welcoming induction with Jaiman!
I recently joined the Hillingdon Sport and Leisure Complex and had a fantastic induction experience with Jaiman. As a new member, I was a bit unsure of what to expect, but Jaiman made me feel incredibly comfortable from the very start. He has a brilliant ability to make everything feel simple and easy to understand. He took his time to walk me through the facilities, thoroughly explaining and demonstrating how to use each piece of equipment. Jaiman is exceptionally well-organised, patient, and genuinely nice. His helpful guidance has given me the confidence I need to kickstart my fitness journey here.

Unacceptable
Unfortunately, it's filthy, dirty and full of perverts. They also allow men in T shirts and shorts and women in head to toe coverings in the water, even in the kids pool, some of whom sit their for hours. They do not wash on entry to the pool. It stinks, there is piss in changing rooms, and I was once assaulted in there by a creep. They also do not let you publish a review on Google reflecting these experiences. It's really poor. Some people come in there just to have a bath in the pool. There used to be hairy men standing under jets for hours in the kids pool, although less so now.

Fantastic swim courses
We have been going there for years for swimming lessons. It is fantastic! They teach the children great skills, even CPR and swimming with PJ-s on! Great teachers, everyone is friendly and knowledgable. Nothing is ever too much to ask for. Just recently I asked for the session to be moved and they done it straight away.

Dirty Lido and suffocating entrance hall.
The swimming pool at the Lido is the dirtiest I have ever seen. There is all sort of stuff floating or sitting on the bottom. When you swimming you come across dead insects, plastic straws, dirty bandages, pieces of plastic, you name it. The sediments on the bottom suggests that cleaning is not done daily as it should for a pool visited by hundreds of people every day. Near the outlets and along the perimeter there is a thick carpet of sediments off all sort.
The entrance hall is a sauna, no ventilation, aircon not working and because of the glasses on the roof there is a delighful greenhouse effect that is suffocating. I pity the people working there.
I expect more from a place that is not exactly cheap if you buy a full subscription.
The rest is not that bad, but overall the place does not look well taken care off. Many parts that needs fresh painting and repairing.

I joined Better mainly because of the amazing yoga classes with Sarika and fitness classes with Asta. Both trainers are outstanding — very professional and genuinely motivating.
Sarika’s yoga sessions are well-structured, calming, and suitable for all levels.
Asta brings incredible energy and expertise to every fitness class.

Misleading on the website
Misleading on the website. I only wanted to have 1 gym session a week with my gf and said it would be one price and then got charged nearly £30. Told I’m not being refunded either. Should be called worst gyms

This enables you to book 1 free booking a month, and then you receive a discounted rate, similar to our Pay As You Go agreements, for any other Gym, swimming and Fitness classes bookings.
