In regards to your membership, you are required to give us a 20-day notice period when requesting to cancel your membership and this information is stated in our Terms & Conditions of membership.

As a voluntary organisation KASF C.I.C
As a voluntary organisation, Keep Active Stay Focused C.I.C. (KASF C.I.C.) has been delivering the BASH programme to local residents, supporting children and young people from low-income families. We have been regular hirers of the facilities for over four years, and any issues we’ve encountered have always been addressed promptly by the centre manager and staff.
One ongoing challenge has been the cleanliness of the studio, particularly after use by other group/s. Since we deliver Taekwon-Do sessions where participants train barefoot, finding splinters and sharp metal shards on the floor has been a serious concern. The centre manager continues to do his best to resolve this issue, which we truly appreciate.
As a local resident, I have always wanted to support my sports centre, and overall, it is a great facility in an ideal location for the community. While there are areas that need improvement, I understand that financial constraints make upgrades difficult. That said, the dedication of the staff more than makes up for it. They have always been helpful, friendly, and accommodating, especially when unexpected issues arise.
A huge thank you to all the frontline staff, including the managers, for their continued support and hard work!

Great facilities and really helpful staff.
I needed to hire a full size football pitch at short notice and I was able to do this very easily. Lee was really helpful and made the whole process simple. Also, the changing room facilities and showers were really good. I will definitely book again.

I absolutely love this leisure centre…
I absolutely love this leisure centre since 2008 when I started using their football facilities. The members staff and Lee the Manager are outstanding and knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Their facilities are high in demand because they provide the best service in the area.
I hope that the Local Council can help them more in the football pitch
maintenance. Highly recommended!

Hire of facilities
We are a regular customer of the leisure centre. We regularly hire their football pitches. Very smooth booking process and nothing too much trouble. The pitch is always maintained. Very happy customer, highly recommend Lee and the team.

Great for playing football,i would only add that astro turf pitch needs improving,few holes,old nets,some of the lights for evening sessions need replacing,new pitch surface will be beneficial to all us players.Apart from that staff very polite and helpful!Thanks!

As I regular hirer of the facilities for a few years now, any problems I've had (and I've had a quite few) have all been dealt with promptly ok one or two things have been out of the staffs hands but I've always been given an answer or things made right. Some things at the centre need improvements but money is tight for everyone, so I get that BUT the staff, the staff have always been helpful and friendly towards me and my players and even accommodating if problems arise on the day. The centre/facilities 3.5/5 BUT the staff 5/5

I absolutely love Bellingham leisure…
I absolutely love Bellingham leisure centre the staff from the cafe to soft play to fitness trainers to the work experience everyone I’ve spoken to is just so lovely and supportive.
The manger listens and does something about it.
They offer a range of different classes and training sessions with a good selection of snacks for you nd the kids

The most family friendly centre
I took my child to soft play at Bellingham leisure centre and not only was the Soft play a fun day out for my little one, the way that we were greeted the staff members that were working on the day we’re absolutely fantastic. We didn’t even know about this place until we looked online, But now I think we will be regulars. Five star for me

I have used the Gym 4 times
I have used the Gym 4 times. It's very clean and tidy. Although some of the machines look a little worn out these are the three arm/chest exercises.

I attended a pilates session and the gym yesterday at the Bellinghah Better leisure centre and today I see Better have charged me a ' no show' fee because they claim I did not show up! That is outrageous 😳 You hardly see any Better staff at the centre and there are no signs to say where or how to 'sign in'. In any case, I am paying nearly £ 30 each month to Better so they're getting their money so what if someone doesn't attend a class? In my case I WAS THERE!!!

Thank you for your review.
I am very sorry to hear that you received a penalty charge when you attended your activity. The fee can be removed by staff at the centre once you speak to them and let them know that you attended the session however, for future sessions you need to swipe into the centre so the system acknowledges your attendance. If the centre does not have any fast access gates you need to be checked in by the reception staff. If this is not done you will be charged a penalty fee each time.
The purpose of the penalty fee is to deter customers from booking and not attending, as other customers may want to participate in that class.

Her classes have no variety, are the same day in day out when she is there and when she is off, all classes seems to stop as no cover is provided. Have met some of her regular members in other centres who no longer attend due to the poor quality of her classes. Definitely not worth the membership attending this poor centre.

Outdated and staff not available or bothered
Bellingham Leisure Centre offers a one-hour induction for starters that can be booked via the app. Sadly, nobody will turn up. And no apology will be offered.
The gym is not too clean, stuff is outdated and partial very worn/damaged. Some touch screens don’t work (treadmill, cross trainer).
In the evening of my sign-up day, I annulled the contract giving the above reasons. Again, nobody seemed to care.
Now waiting for my money back while I keep receiving marketing emails welcoming me to that Leisure Centre.
Cannot recommend, won’t return.

I am very sorry to hear that you booked an Induction which no-one turned up to and you also did not receive an apology from the staff. I have checked your membership to ensure this has been cancelled correctly and also refunded the fees you paid directly back to the card you paid with. This will take up to 3 working days to be credited back to your account. I am very sorry that you have decided to cancel your membership due to the issues stated above. I will escalate this for the immediate attention of the centre manager so he can look into this and resolve as a matter of urgency.
