Bensons For Beds - Gillingham Retail Park Recensioni 

We purchased a mattress from Bensons for Beds two years ago, and it came with a five-year warranty. We have followed the care instructions provided, including flipping the mattress every two weeks as advised.

Over the past month, the mattress has started causing both my wife and me severe, chronic back pain, particularly first thing in the morning. We reported the issue to Bensons for Beds and provided the photographs and information they requested.

Unfortunately, we were told that the condition shown in the photographs is considered “normal settling” and that they would therefore not replace the mattress. We find this extremely disappointing. While some settling may be considered normal, we do not believe it is reasonable to dismiss a mattress that is causing two people significant and ongoing back pain, particularly when it is still within its five-year warranty period.

We are extremely disappointed with the service and the way our complaint has been handled. A warranty is only worthwhile if the company is prepared to stand behind the product when there is a genuine problem.

Based on this experience, we would not purchase from Bensons for Beds again, and we would strongly encourage anyone considering buying a mattress from them to carefully consider how warranty claims are handled in practice.

We only went to look for a bed. We were greeted at the door and told if we needed any help to ask,which was really nice not to be followed around by a pushy sales person. We did end up seeing a bed we like and went back to see the sales person (Wendy) and she was so professional and nice. She answered all the questions we had.

Andy the manager was really knowledgeable. And very helpful. There was no pressure to buy. His was so helpful. From our purchase to delivery excellent service.

Sam was very helpful, knowledgeable & patient. She was able to answer any questions that we had and fully explained the configurations which we could have for our new bed.

I’d like to share a lovely experience with a recent bed delivery. My 88-year-old mum happened to be home alone when the delivery arrived, as her carer was off for the day, and her old bed hadn’t been stripped in advance.
The delivery team were absolutely wonderful — they kindly stripped the bed themselves and set the bedding aside, all before I managed to get there. They were courteous, kind, and genuinely helpful in assisting my mum. I’m so grateful for the care they showed her.
I’d also like to praise Benson’s back office team throughout the whole process — they were courteous, informative, and made everything easy to follow. I’d recommend Benson’s 100% to anyone looking to buy a bed.

Andy was very nice and helped a lot, was able to give me the answer that I needed for the original reason I came into the store (someone else's order), and I was able to buy a good mattress for myself. Had difficulty arranging the correct date for delivery as I am working most days. The reason for the 2 star removal. Firstly I haven't got it yet so the order is not complete. I hope to come back after the delivery to amend details. The second reason really REALLY annoys me. They profess to have a video showing a delivery BUT you have to sign into an app called VIMEO. Why must I log into this? Is YouTube no good? Can you not have the video part of your webpage? No Way will I sign into a site for no good reason. That is one way I can get a virus. So I'll NEVER give them 5 stars.

Bensons for beds deliver my bed to where i want & put it together so quick . Thanks again great job .

We went to the Gillingham store. Odette was extremely helpful and answered our many, many questions. We wanted an ottoman bed with storage that you could access by lifting the bed rather than having drawers. Odette took us to the lift up version to see what we thought of it (nice but I didn't have the strength to lift it), she then took us to the power version which was perfect. We didn't like the headboard that was on the display model so she showed us all the other possible headboards that would fit. She then did the same with the mattresses. At no time did we feel pressurised to buy anything and she was just really helpful (and patient). We left the store to pop into another adjacent bed store but we were back within 10 minutes to order from Benson Beds. Odette explained the delivery options, how it would be assembled, the warranty etc. Lead time was 3 weeks but we actually don't want it just yet as we are decorating. We arranged a date that was convenient to us with the knowledge that we could change this either way if necessary. The whole process was great, we have no complaints.
