One of my pet hates is misrepresentation. We went to the Derby store for 2 singles. First one we saw fitted the bill, a single with a pull out underneath. Big sign on the end reduced by 250 to 250, mattress extra at 169.99. We told the assistant we'd like it and sat down to order. Paid 250 for the bed. Then she said the mattress was 250 when clearly said 169.99, 'but no, that's for the one underneath'. It very clearly didn't say that! We then came to order the mattress underneath, now we're told it's 169.99 plus 50 delivery. Once again no mention of this. So, be clear in your pricing and be transparent. Dont try to hide hidden costs, clearly state what the actual price is!

Only cost about £1800 !!

Looks great initially , UNTIL you realise that YOU have to fit it to the wall for stability
Absolute joke of an install procedure

Waited months for 2 guys to return and hand me the bracket for ME to fix

Quality of product good but after that , your are on your own and nobody gives a damn

Never purchase a product that requires installation from this company or its contractors
Anything else I’m sure is fine
We will not be returning and DO expect some silly reply blaming us or whatever for this issue - it’s in the t&c or something like it no doubt

The staff in the showroom were very knowledgeable and efficient with Jai being so helpful. The delivery guys, David and Lee, were timely and considerate. The mattress is amazing!

Nearly five stars, but reasons for not giving five stars would be the niggling doubts over:-

1. Value for money: £2550 for mattress and ottoman frame
2. Whether we gave way to sales pressure (even though Aman was just great) - at the end of Sunday trading
3. Whether the very well managed delivery coordination of the two items and scrappage collection, plus very good Friday afternoon Bensons Customer Service response when we detected a problem with the ottoman lifting mechanism, outweighs the anxiety and three week wait for a technician to replace the pistons.
4. Whether the chemical smell of the new mattress is taking too long to completely evaporate.

Excellent service, no pressure to pick a particular mattress, I was shower a large selection and allowed to make the right decision for myself, really like the mattress analyser, that told you the right mattress for your body type and sleep position

Salesman was very good, though a little pushy.

I had an idea of what we wanted. Was assisted by one of the staff members. At one point I felt under pressure to make a purchase but in the end we got what we wanted. We did buy an ex display bed and was a little disappointed at the cost of delivery (£60!). Having previously bought a brand new bed with no delivery charge. The chap who assisted us was very pleasant and we are looking forward to the delivery which hopefully will be sometime this month June 2024?

Sales staff were very helpful. We went in knowing what we wanted. We asked questions and have ended up with a mix of bed and mattress.

Happy with buy and believe that we got a reasonable price with whole deal

Hello.I purchased my mattress on 24 December 2019.
I'm not sure what's covered exactly with the 5 year guarantee.
its only me that sleeps in the bed.
I do rotate & turn the mattress
The memory foam is now very ruffled, sagging & uncomfortable to sleep on & I know it sounds strange the mattress appears to be leaning over to one side.
I decided in March 2023 contact you with this response below but its getting worse & very disappointing.

Thank you for your recent contact in relation to your mattress.
I am sorry that you are unhappy with the condition of your mattress. I have viewed the photographs you have sent, and it appears that your mattress is experiencing normal settlement which is where the fibres and fillings in it compress with use and adapt to a person’s body shape. ​
This compliments the function of the springs/foam core and far from being a manufacturing fault, the product is designed in this way and can be seen almost immediately with usage. This is not considered a manufacturing defect and as such it is unlikely that a claim against your Manufacturer’s guarantee would be successful.​
Settlement is usually more prominent in the areas where the heaviest parts of the body lay, such as the shoulders and hips, and this looks to be consistent with your mattress. Or if you perch on the edge of the mattress, you’ll notice the sides compacting here too.

Settlement is most noticeable in the first few weeks of use as the fillings are compacted and air expelled and is perfectly natural. This is built into the design of our mattresses and is often found more in the higher specification mattresses with layers of luxurious fillings. This is called “bedding in”.

You can help your mattress perform better and be more comfortable by following the advice found in our Bedtime Reading document. We advise in our Bedtime Reading literature (as attached) about settlement, and we also suggest that you rotate (swap the head end for the foot end and if both sides of your mattress are the same fabric flipping it over) the mattress weekly for the first eight weeks of use and every six to eight weeks thereafter to extend the life expectancy of your product. I would restart this by rotating weekly from now to help your mattress and you should see an improvement in its performance.
