Purchased a firm Slumberland mattress from Bensons, within a month the mattress had dipped and was not providing any support. This was replaced with a replacement mattress and was advised on second mattress delivery, mattress will mold to your body and should be rotated frequently. I have followed the guidance and rotated every week initially then every month and tried to bare with it and give it time in case I had not given it chance previously. After sometime and constantly waking up suffering with back ache, this being my husband and myself I decided to get back in touch to say I was not satisfied. Again, had to send Bensons pictures as before showing dips on both sides of the mattress. This time Bensons said they would send a technician around to confirm the issue. I did not have an issue with this as I was confident the issues with the mattress were clear and couldnt see how they might disagree. Sadly the technician attended and measured the dips and said no issue. Bensons would expect the mattress to dip more than 3 cm's and won't exchange or refund. Apparently this does not get advised or advertised when purchasing and given that I tried to bare with the mattress I have now managed to fall into the bracket due to how long now we have had the mattress they would expect dip now to be 4 cm's. I am sorry when i spent a huge £700 on a firm mattress I do not expect it to sag AT ALL!!! and should be advertised as this would reduce waisting their time and their customers.
I am now going to end up £700 out of pocket as if the mattress is not replaced i will have to look at a new one as we cannot put up with this one. Previously would never have spent that much on a mattress but have though thinking i would get a really great mattress. Our previous mattress lasted 10 years before deciding to replace it and only cost between £300 to £400 and was not as bad as our current mattress after only 16 months. Aside from the dipping the mattress has no level of firm feel to it at all which initially is the main reason we bought this supposedly firm mattress, my husband suffers more from back ache than me and now that the firm feel has gone this is progressively getting worse. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ASK ABOUT HOW MUCH THE MATTRESS IS EXPECTED TO SAG, IF YOU LIKE A FIRM MATTRESS DONT BUY. IF YOU DONT LIKE TO THROW AWAY MONEY OR LIKE POOR SERVICE DONT BUY!!!!!

The staff in store were really helpful and gave valuable advice re the type of bed and height as it was for a very small adult . They both went the extra mile and I would highly recommend

We had a leisurely look around the Altrincham showroom before talking to a sales representative.
He was very well informed about beds, type of beds, mattresses, base units and headboards and nothing was too much trouble. The sales rep had a relaxed manner which made it easier for us to decide what we wanted.

Very knowledgeable salesperson gave us plenty of time to both try and discuss the bed options available to us.
She was helpful and clearly pointed out any benefits or
disadvantages of our choice.
I was able to purchase better quality mattress as the discounts available were good too.

Appalling after care , bed delivery without headboard, not available until September 3rd, ordered in March . Head Office unwilling to help, local store are willing to get us a headboard in the interim, Head Office refused. Shop staff great but when there’s an issue they are absolutely useless.

Went in to the store, asked for what is your firmest mattress, and got to try them then and there. All good they knew their stock, chose one, and all closed straightforwardly.
No pressure, no push to a particular product.

Great bed for now. Will review again after some time

Very professional company and kept us updated with the progress of the delivery.

We were given the opportunity to test a number of options, and provided with a considerable amount of information which enabled us to reach a decision. No hard sell and no feeling that we were being encouraged into a purchase which suited Bensons rather than ourselves.

Jonathan did not have what I would describe as a typical sales style, and all power to him for that! It was a pleasure to have his help and advice, all credit to him.

Andrej was brilliant. So knowledgeable about all aspects of buying a bed, and a nice guy. We had no idea that so many choices were involved. Showroom was clean with the opportunity to try out plenty of beds.

Looked after us really well. Good knowledge. Let’s us make up our own minds on which beds we wanted and did not get to pushy.
Very pleased with the outcome.

First time customer for Bensons - in fact never even been in the store before! Our sales assistant (Johnathan) was very knowledgeable and friendly and we ended up returning the next day to buy my Son a bed & mattress. Delivery was swift and the contact who assembled it for us were professional and able and good value for money. Highly recommend this company.
