Great experience from start to finish…

As always I shopped around and found Beechwood. The car I wanted was at a really good price. They were really fast with my enquiry and got me sorted for a look around the car and test drive the next day. Dom, was just great, polite and helpful guy who looked after us. Apologies on names but the owner, took it to another level and honestly went above and beyond to accommodate us and our very quick turnaround for getting the car delivered for the next day. If you want to be taken care of, quality cars and prices with the best service out there - look here first. I value it as experienced lots of other places that are pretty bad in comparison. I will be going back for my dream car when that happens! Thanks for everything guys.

Sales full of enthusiasm as was I and car looked good on selected pictures and sales member enthused about car and as I was travelling 500 miles round trip that car would be spot on and ready to drive home and enjoy,he requested a holding deposit of £500 and then sent me an email after I paid and it stated it was non refundable! Anyway I drove down 5hour drive and was met with a disgraceful and disappointing car interior drivers seat worn and all burst and I go back to pictures that were selected that never showed this and stereo button missing plus wax polish all over car and brake discs worn severely,
Nowhere near ready and Dom the salesperson said that he hadn’t seen the inside of the car 😂my deposit couldn’t be refunded as director was out of the country and I have just received an email that my complaint can’t be dealt with as he’s away out the country again 🤣
A disgrace and all round pathetic behaviour and service from this company
Avoid at all costs
Ps there was a customer in front of me complaining and was requesting a monetary resolution!!

Do not reserve a vehicle until you've read and understand the small print.

I'm not criticising the company as such but I was caught out by their “Reserve Vehicle” option. I drove to their premises to look at a vehicle and hopefully test drive it however I was told that the vehicle wasn't ready for a test drive and that they like to prepare the vehicle so I booked a test drive a few days later. I was NOT told at that time that I would incur charges for the preperation of the vehicle. When I got home I decided to Reserve the vehicle online so paid the £99 fee. After serious deliberation over the next few days I decided that the vehicle wasn't really for me so I emailed to cancel the test drive. The owner was keen to do some kind of deal and offered me an £1,100 price reduction but it wasn't what I wanted so I queried my reservation fee. I was told that the fee goes towards the cost of preparing the vehicle, a full service, a valet and a 75 point check so is non refundable. so basically I paid this for a vehicle I hadn't even driven and wasn’t sure I wanted! The owner also offered to knock this fee off any future purchase but my experience has burnt this bridge. Holding out for £100 has “maybe” cost the company a lot more.

Couldn’t recommend more

Recently bought a car from Rishi and Dom.

Fantastic experience, very open about their preparation process and couldn’t have done any more for me. In love with my new car, definitely coming back for my next one.

Would definitely recommend!

Me and my partner recently purchased a BMW X3 from beechwood and the service from start to finish has been so easy and smooth. The staff are so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning to buy our next car!

Bought a car with obvious signs of a bad engine (rough idle and startup) was reassured this was normal by the salesman, was then offered a “free one year extended warranty” to ease any worries. A month goes by and the engine blows, the warranty refuses to cover this and the dealer claims “we don’t have any facilities to make our own repairs”, putting all the blame on the warranty. Absolute joke of a “company”, after wasting weeks of going back and forth we were offered no compensation or resolution whatsoever. Plus, how can you be selling cars without your own mechanics? This type of “business” is what gives the used car industry a bad name, they lure you in with good service and as soon as they have your money they refuse any responsibility.

1 Star because 0 was not allowed.

Our experience of this company has been poor to say the least.
Hung back on writing this review in the hopes they would at least make better their absolute disgusting behaviour towards consumers.

Saw a caddy on a site at some point and emailed the team, heard nothing for over a week so rang them to be told someone was in THAT day to view the exact same one.

On the evening of the call Id spoken to my husband, said yes this is the one id like etc, its ideal, just what I'm looking for to help manage self care due to chronic health issues.

First red flag turned up when deposit for the van needed to be bank transfer only, in my haste (being without a vehicle at this point for over a year, which was contributing to ill health).

All good, vehicle got 'prepped' had new MOT's 2 it had in 48 hours, valeted etc. I specifically requested the vehicle to be delivered (done this before no issues). Delivery was requested to be after work ending hours or the day of the week I'm not at work.

You can imagine my surprise when at 7pm on a Wednesday evening a gent knocked on the door, asked if we ordered a caddy, said its out the back. Bemused, I go out the back, they rush round taking night time photos of the caddy and off they go.

I rang the Beechwood to request an understanding to their delivery and ask why I wasn't informed it was arriving on this day. I was met with we're out having a meal (no surprise there as you just got a huge pay out for an absolute death-trap).

We look over the vehicle the next day and more red flags appear, rims that were so gouged and kerbed it was beyond a joke - I said to my husband its fine I don't intend on keeping them as they're shit anyway (overlooking we weren't notified of these at POS, nor was it obvious from their use of stock photos which have been retouched). There were superficial scratches all over the vehicle from front to back - not deep enough to show the British gas blue paint underneath, so I again let it slide as I was going to have the vehicle wrapped in the near future to something more attractive. Their paint jobs are just on another level - half baked, half arsed with plenty of paint coming off around high stress points.

Husband was using the vehicle a few times a week and in the 30 days we had the vehicle it just went from bad to worse. Warning light after warning light showing up and refusing to turn off.

My brother was a mechanic by trade and happened to notice that the directional tires were on the wrong way (MOT Iss) - with this awareness, a whole string of dash failures, eventually leading me to get into a detective mindset. Issues in a supposed MOT were flagging up as still obvious faults.

The stress of the delivery and findings kicked me into a Crohn's flare up and I was incredibly weak for 3 weeks while I had to play detective in what and how to resolve this - CAB and trading standards have been wonderful in their assisting process.

I had to take the vehicle to be independently checked over, now I'm not someone who doesn't understand the usual grumblings of a car, but to my horror I was made aware there were no rear brakes on the vehicle (had heard no grinding or unusual noise one may associate with this) this was marked as not being an issue on 2x MOTS provided by Beechwood Autos.

The onus was on me to provide information that these faults existed. I paid an independent person to conduct a check over as if it were an MOT so I could approach the finance company (in this instance Close Brothers - another red flag given their recent wrongful selling of car finance issues).

Beechwood upon finding out re the caddy issues attempted to say the 14 day window had passed and that we had no right to return. Close brothers thankfully supported my position. I had gotten everything to them JUST in time on the 30th day of the consumers right to refuse. Id have been screwed otherwise.

Close brothers sent an independent technician to view the vehicle, who condemned it on the spot. I/we were assured all would be fixed and sorted in a timely manner.

It is 30/6/25 as I write this and the vehicle went back to Beechwood on March 25th 2025. Husbands credit file has only just been updated after me badgering to have this issue wiped from his credit file. However we are down 2.5k from initial costs of the vehicle and down a great deal more in lost earnings.

If you are considering a vehicle from this place, please be mindful - take your own independent mechanic - However given that they clearly falsified 2 MOTS I would stay clear, your life is worth more than any saving, on any of their vehicles.

Dodgy isn't the word

Wanted a caddy, went to look at one from BS Autos, first off the last two mots looked perfect, too perfect, on inspection of the van found an oil leak that was present in 2022 and then disappeared on subsequent mot certificates. They have lowered the vans and I mean all the vans on cheap coilovers more to the point the bumpstops for said coilovers have been fitted incorrectly and they have all been axel flipped which you do not need to do if the job was done properly, which it is not. Anyway I played along and said I would buy one, a week later he said it was ready so I looked the caddy over again, bearing I'm mind it's supposed to have been "valeted" a spoon which was present a week earlier was still in the cab down the side of the seat, in a failed attempt to fix the oil leak they just cleaned the filter housing but oil was still seeping out. Rishi from what I assume is the owner is a spineless person and played his usual game of not being present on the day and left it to a boy to hand over. Needless to say I told them I would not be taking the caddy as it was a complete heap. What I failed to tell him is I am a trained professional mechanic with over 20 years in the job. He has now been reported to trading standards and to the police for providing fraudulent mot and service documents. He refused to give me back my deposit, and although £250 isn't much I will be taking legal action through a union of which I am a member so I can get free legal aid. In summary DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE from this guy it will the worst thing you will do.

Bought a Volvo XC90 from Dom and Rishi

Bought a Volvo XC90 from Dom and Rishi. They were very kind at the point of sale offering minor touch ups to the vehicle (wrapping the door handles from chrome to black as I didn't like the chrome). We picked it up after a few days and in the first month we encountered an issue with the car.

Rishi didn't hesitate in resolving the issue with no quibble - it was a hidden issue that they wouldnt have known about without driving around 1000 miles.

I was a bit worried as you hear allsorts of things about second hand car sales but I felt listened to, supported and very much looked after. Old school gentleman kind of a business - a man's word is his bond and I will definitely be returning to this car dealership in the future - things are bound to crop up with a second hand car but it's how you respond to your customers needs which sets you above the rest of the competition.

I hope Rishi and Dom get all the success they deserve. Thank you.

Bare minimum effort for premium price

Recently bought a caddy and this is my opinion on Beechwood Autos:

I am not a vehicle technician but after personally inspecting the van, I bought it purely based on the extensive service history and the spec/colour of the vehicle. All of the statements below are based on surveys provided by my personal mechanic and body shop after the purchase.

I made the final payment in the morning, drove the vehicle away to a VW specialist for rear seat conversion, he inspected the vehicle and basically condemned the body work and advised its best to return the vehicle. I called Beechwood, same day, and they said a return is not possible as a manager is not present until the following week?

Whilst they have the right idea with the lowering and the colour coding, the level of quality on their bodywork upgrades is WAY BELOW what it should be.

I would not recommend their optional brake calliper spraying, complete disaster.

On the first test drive, I was told the dashboard “bulb monitoring warning light” was active as they had put aftermarket bulbs in instead of genuine VW bulbs. Turns out this was complete BS after my mechanic replaced 6 faulty bulbs.

According to the service history they provided, the timing belt and water pump had been replaced. After independent inspection, my mechanic is fairly confident this has not been done due to the condition of the belt so this appears to be a forgery on the service sheet.

Beechwood decals they installed have pulled the lacquer off the rear door when removing.
Other issues include: hazard light button not working, passenger door does not seal fully, wipers have scratched the windscreen, drivers door hinge needs replacing.

After going through their legal team trying to either return the van or at least get some compensation towards some of the work, I was constantly fobbed off and would only be able to escalate the situation through court proceedings.

Overall, they really need to up their game when it comes to the quality and presentation of their vehicles. There are far better Caddy specialists out their I have since found that provide IMMACULATE vans.

In my opinion, Beechwood are doing the bare minimum for premium price….

BUYER BEWARE…

BUYER BEWARE…
Alarm bells should have rang for myself early on. Test drove a car in August which upon arrival the fuel red light was on. Liked the car and thought maybe it was just an unfortunate oversight. With the car been for the wife she decided she liked it and we already had the finance in place. However I was convinced to try through there finance company which for some unknown reason was declined(I was assured this was a soft credit check, it isn’t), the garage assured me the credit check would be removed from my report we are now in December and it is still there.

Collected the car 2 weeks later and there the problems really began, fuel was showing 0 miles, when questioned they assured me that they had put £20 on and wouldn’t let a car go out with no fuel ( this promptly led to me looking for the nearest fuel station and surprise the fuel registered straight away on the gauge).
On the drive home the car went into limp mode and was misfiring (thorough checks carried out before car was sold🤥).
After a little research I thought it may be a coil pack which cost £100 in the first weekend of ownership without curing. Spoke to the dealer who could for the car in a couple of weeks later to be looked at and offered nothing in the way of a courtesy car ( no good as needed for work) and we’re unable to put a timescale to the repairs.
After much going backwards and forwards they agreed to let me have the works carried out local but would only pay £600 towards the repair! The estimate came back at nearer £2000, again after much back and forth and me initially wanting to return the car I was dissuaded by threat of there solicitors been involved and it could take months. This left me in a position where I had to contact the finance company, after a little pressure the dealer agreed to pay £1000, the finance company £250 leaving me with a bill of £500.

You may think no problem the car has had much major work done, however it is now off the road again with a possible catastrophic engine failure…. Leaving me with yet again looking at a big bill! This time for a new engine. This is the worst experience of buying a car I’ve ever had.
You will find that the owner is very evasive and will be on holiday for a few days abroad, more often than in the UK.

PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I made and be fooled by these cowboys.
