The optician was kind and professional throughout the appointment. He was thorough when carrying out the checks, gentle and attentive when answering questions, and addressed all of my concerns.

All staff were professional and helpful.

The detailed eye examination, and scan ...all carefully explained in detail by David , positive advice given and the knowledge that I am welcome to return at any time should I have problems with my sight or my glasses. A lovely welcome when I arrived and even the offer of coffee whilst waiting for my appointment (I was early !!) I have used Bayfields for many years, as have my family, and would not go elsewhere.

A thorough eye test including scans, picked up a problem with one of my eyes requiring urgent attention. Very grateful to the Optician that did my eye test.

I booked a £77 eye test for 9:40 AM this morning at Welwyn Garden and was asked to arrive by 9:30 AM. I even received an email from Bayfields reminding me about the challenges of a "hectic life" and stressing the importance of being on time. Ironically, it seems Bayfields themselves found managing their own diary too much of a "challenge."
I arrived promptly at 9:30 AM. I was asked to wait, but after waiting with no updates, I checked with the reception staff. It was only then that I was informed the optician couldn’t see me until sometime after 10am.

A disregard for patient's time. A simple call or email would have allowed me to reschedule without making a completely wasted trip. Given their own reminders about timeliness, their failure to manage their own schedule and inform patients is unacceptable. This was a complete waste of my entire morning and seemingly everyone else waiting there.

Very professional service

Experience was good,we move away from a famous optician following poor customer care. We felt our custom with Bayfield was valued and important.

Lovely helpful knowledgeable staff. Makes it an enjoyable experience. Being a smaller place, there is none of the crowding and waiting I’ve had from the larger chain opticians.
