Very good face-to-face interaction. Post-appointment communication not so great regarding broken Octomap scanner, but £49 fee paid was refunded as a 'goodwill gesture', whatever that means. £50 Amazon voucher for recommendation finally received after 16 weeks and several phone calls. Overall, very happy with the examination and suspect the root of the problems lie with head office rather than the local branch in South Woodham Ferrers. I have been a customer for quite a few years, and would continue to use them.

The staff are very informative and helpful.

However, I think the prices of glasses are very expensive. For example, the materials are plastic. I understand the technology that goes into creating the lenses, but after development, prices should come down due to volume sales and automation.

Always feel that my eyes are tested very carefully and the technology to examine detail is used. Results are discussed thoroughly and comparisons are made to previous years to ascertain any changes.

The eye examination was carried out very professionally and efficiently. However, I was charged £40 which had not occurred on previous visits. Do I owe Bayfields for my earlier examinations?

I came here after not being happy going to a high street opticians so parents recommended me to come here.
They did not disappoint! They picked up on why I wear bifocals and when I asked questions was not made to feel silly.
I am epileptic so they adjusted how they did the camera and was not made to feel silly for asking questions.
I liked the range of frames as well.

Jacqui was thoughtful, sympathetic and honest in her approach. Having been a long time wearer of
NHS hearing aids I was reluctant to try anything different due to the cost but these are 1000 times better than anything you'll get from the NHS.

Jacqui took time to listen to any concerns I had, wasn't too pushy (in fact the polar opposite) and was only concerned with finding the product that would help me function more in society due to my severe hearing loss.
