Nice friendly shop. Staff member went upstairs to check the stock and found some shin pads for my son which was nice as many shops these days don’t have stock rooms. Would visit again.

So good they are all good and made it easy for me to choose the right bike for me and the test ride was a plus 10/10 ps..I got a new Brompton G line

Managed to drop in on the day for my free 6-week tune up.
Used the time to purchase some other items and bike was all ready as I was heading off to grab a coffee. All in all about 40 minutes and bike working perfectly.

I’ve been looking for an electric bike for ages and Balfe Bikes had the best selection at the best prices. When I went in there I was served by someone (Ruth) who gave me very sound advice and had an understanding of what I wanted. She helped me through the process and now I have a beautiful electric bike.

I brought my bike in for an adhoc inspection following a crash due to an erratic motorist. With no appointment Nick, in the bike maintenance section served me. He couldn’t have been more helpful & reassuring following a thorough inspection of my bike. Luckily there was a minor fault that he was able to put right straight away. I had done other questions about my bike that I asked. He couldn’t have been more knowledgeable & helpful with his replies. Nick is a credit to Balfes & should you need some help from him you will not be disappointed

I visited the Gatwick store twice recently. Despite lots of staff , some of whom not doing a lot not a single person on either occasion bothered to ask if they could help. My wife was trying on on several helmets and we weren't sure exactly what we wanted. Two members of staff just walked passed, adjusted the shelves and products and walked away again. When she asked if she could try on some cycling shorts, the man just pointed vaguely at the change room without a word or a smile. On a previous visit I was looking at some electric bikes. Not a single effort my anybody to ask if they could assist. I'll buy elsewhere..

I have been using Balfes and what was Evan’s before that wally took over, for years, the lads and ladies know their stuff and it’s a lovely community feel in there. I will happily keep using Balfes

They had exactly the bike I was looking for in stock. Phoned and requested a trial ride. They assembled the bike in the size I wanted. It was ready when I arrived. I was able to take it for a test ride and purchased it. Very happy with the bike. Excelent friendly service.

Two bikes were made up to try. The assistance in adjusting both to my needs was excellent.

Great customer service and assistance from the time I walked into the store. Really helped in working with me to choose the overall package including wheel upgrade and the whole thing all done and bike collected within 6 days.

wow! this might be the best bike shop on the planet. I travelled a long way for a specific model and they were so incredibly kind in getting it ready for me on the same day! Everything about the service was an absolute 10/10, Bob and Steve on the front were absolutely wonderful and Nick is a hero for building the bike at such short notice! Also follow his Strava because the artwork is awesome!! Literally cannot find a negative about anything, price, communication and absolutely everything were top notch! I would recommend this company to literally anyone and everyone in the cycling community
