False advertising. Be careful !

Hi, my fellow fisherman. Let me tell you about experience with this company.
I wanted to buy Shappell Bay Runner ice shanty. Thus company had a decent price. Plus they were claiming, that they do free shipping and tax included. Good deal, right ?
So it was $309.00 .I ordered it from them.I got conf. e-mail. In a couple of days I saw, that that shanty is $409.00. Went up by $100.00!!! And they sent me cancelation e-mail. ))) I called them, and they told me that they don't ship that item at all. Now on their website it says, that it is out of stock.
So... They don't stay behind their word. I would never buy from them again, and I would not recommend it to you, my fellow fisherman !

After initial, order received, email no correspondence, no goods!

I got an "order received" email immediately, July 26th. Not a word since. Order status still reads "Order Received" I sent them an email on the 29th and used their online form to ask about the order on the 30th. No response. I used PayPal to pay and the payment is on hold there. I do not know why.

I placed the same order with Amazon and will try to get baitnhook's payment canceled at PayPal.

Low prices, poor service

I ordered a pair of Leupold binoculars on 6/7 and they arrived today, 6/20 (order #12597). I wanted to share some feedback regarding my buying experience with Baitnhook.net.

First, I received an order confirmation email immediately after my order, which was great, but then no communication after that. Several days went by until I finally contacted the service department to ask about the status of my order and was told it "should ship in a couple of days". Fine, but most good online retailers I've used send me a proactive email to let me know the status of my order and when it will ship, especially if it is going to be several days between the time I place the order and the time it ships. I shouldn't have to call and ask.

Second, the packaging when it arrived was a disappointment. The outer box seemed big and sturdy, but inside there was only a couple peices of newspaper and the product thrown in haphazardly. The product box was completely smashed on one end. Luckily it appears the product is undamaged, but that is not how I expect an expensive pair of binoculars to be packaged. Also, there was no invoice, receipt or anything else in the box.

Baitnhook's low prices drew me in, but I will probably use a different retailer next time, especially for expensive or fragile items.

Amazing service

Amazing service, I am disabled and can't commute to stores and my son was coming back from overseas from the army. I ordered a fishing reel from boatersworld and was never shipped in time, I called baitnhook up and they actually drove to my house to deliver the reel 30 mins away from their store the same day. They are not just a business but a great service to the community.

Great Customer Service

Order a Penn Slammer on April 21 and received it on April 23. I received it on time for my fishing tournament. Great customer service

Ridiculous

I ordered a rod 5 weeks ago, of which I still haven't received. I've been told 3 times that "backordered, a shipment is coming in tomorrow, and will ship tomorrow". Outright lie?? who knows?? Will never order from them again, nor do I recommend anyone else do so. Worse online buying experience I've ever had.

Poor customer service

The hotline just goes straight into the voice mail. They don't even reply to emails for several days. Sometimes they don't even address the questions. Not the cheapest around. You can find a better deal on eBay with free shipping.

Picked up my items at their warehouse

Called up same day and picked up my order that evening, they even threw free line for the 2 Abu Garica reels I bought, will buy again. Heard about this company through 3 of my friends who order often. We are all fishing fanastics

Incompetence at the highest level

Granted, the prices are lower, but this is a two-bit operation with terrible customer service. I returned a reel for exchange, and after three months and three failed attempts to ship me my exchange I was forced to get my credit card company involved (ended up canceling the order altogether). I mean, how can you assure a customer a package will arrive a certain day, even send a UPS tracking number, and then forget to deliver the package to UPS? Like I said, this company is likely run by one or two guys, probably out of their garage, so good luck if your initial order has any problems.
