This company cannot be trusted!
We arrived late at Trapani Airport hoping for a fast and smooth car delivery since we have a small baby with us. We were surprised not to find the Target Rent company located at the airport, but instead a shuttle service from the company Policardo (www.autonoleggiopantelleria.it) with a sign with our name. The new company took us to a very remote and dark location where we spend 90 minutes with several other people before we could leave with a car. The handling was very unprofessional and we were very surprised to be presented a severe damaged car with dents and scratches everywhere. Unfortunately the procedure of pointing out dents and scratches was not as detailed as we asked for. We pointed out several dents and scratches that we wished to have indicated on the file, but the person from the rental company answered that a cross on the sketch represented all dents and scratches on a specific part of the car, for example a left front fender.
We had the car for 10 days without any problems (except it being a very poor car) and we are absolutely sure that we made no damages to the rental car when in our possession.
When returning the car we experienced a completely changed procedure of checking dents and scratches. The person from the rental company was very impolite and pointed out specific scratches and claimed they were not marked on the small sketch. We explained how we previously were told that a cross represented all scratches on a part. Unfortunately the person was extremely unpleasant and never listened to us.
This company frauds tourists and possibly also the insurance company since dents and scratches are reported repeatedly. The rental company abuses the situation of customers scheduled flights to perform confidence trick with the deposit amount. We have later heard several other customers experienced the same fraud.
