Excellent shop, great brands, very helpful staff, amazing food and drink. Absolutely brilliant in every way.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Sam on the Estée Lauder counter at Austins today, what an absolutely wonderful experience!

I originally came in feeling completely unsure about what makeup I needed, but Sam was incredible from the very start. She took so much time with me patiently going through different shades, explaining palette charts and even blending various products so I could see what would work best for me. Nothing felt rushed and she genuinely cared in what she was doing.

What really stood out was how kind, welcoming and reassuring she was. She put me completely at ease and her knowledge was just amazing. From giving me the.little samples to take home which was such a great help and it really did made such a difference.

I was so impressed that I came back in today (Tuesday 24th March) and ended up spending several hundred pounds on Estée Lauder products and I am really happy with everything I purchased so much so that I ended up treating myself to a beautiful perfume too!!

Sam’s dedication, patience and genuine passion for what she does really deserves to be recognised. It’s rare to receive such exceptional, personal service and I feel incredibly grateful to have had her help.

So thank you Sam you made the whole experience so special! 💖✨

I would like to take this opportunity to express my compliments for the exemplary service provided by your staff and team, in particular Gina who attended our table for our restaurant visit today. Nothing was too much trouble for Gina, who ensured the tables were cleared and covid sprayed clean in a timely manner after each persons visit. We found the complete experience to be exceptional your staff are to be commended for their professionalism and the care they provided to ensure we had a very pleasant stay. They were very upbeat and cheerful and polite and should be given the highest praise.

I've always received great service when shopping at Austins. Today was no exception. I was pondering the huge selection of fragrances and was ably assisted by a very lovely member of staff. She listened to my rather vague requirement and was able to suggest several very suitable options. Brilliant. She was also so cheerful and had great humour. What a great place to shop.

Knew exactly what he was doing and gave very sensible advice, such a change from the dowdry service you often get from other high street clothes shops.

This is a wonderful department store in a Devon market town called Newton Abbot. The owner is third generation manager (if you see a tall elegantly dressed man strolling through, give him a hug! He deserves it after all he’s been through keeping the store open during 2020 lockdown). The store has absolutely wonderful women’s and men’s clothes, kitchenware, cosmetics, carpets, furniture, cafe, you name it! Their prices are extremely reasonable and often much cheaper than many online outlets. They are my first port of call. Do drop-in because you will be pleasantly surprised by the big selections on offer and the helpful staff. This is a genuine recommendation, I am not being paid for my gratitude!

What a lovely family owned department store! Literally everything you need under 1 roof ( well actually 4) . So pleased I shopped here rather than the internet , the whole experience was lovely and I was made to feel so welcome . Will definitely be back soon .

Cannot recommend this company enough for customer service. I had been searching for a particular toy for ages on-line and it was out of stock everywhere. I finally found it and at a price cheaper than Amazon or anywhere else on-line at this wonderful old fashioned department store established in 1924. I was initially a bit cross with them as having ordered the item, I then got a message the next day to say that it was now out of of stock with them too. I complained and boy did they go the extra mile - they sourced the toy for me and I received it in the post this morning. Fantastic to see a company responding this way. I will most certainly be using them again because of the way they responded. quite excellent. Very well done.
