Before we left on our second Audrey Family Adventure I worried that it could not possibly be as perfect as our first to Costa Rica last year. It was! Audley’s customized itinerary, expert guides, and wonderful accommodations made for another magical travel experience. We came back from Iceland with our grandchildren and children as eager to do another intergenerational trip as we are.

We've used Audley Travel for several trips now--Italy, Morocco, Spain, Scotland, and each time they've exceeded our expectations.

For our most recent adventure to Scotland, Lydia was our travel planner, and she was wonderful from start to finish. Lydia listened to what we were hoping to get out of our trip and crafted an itinerary that struck the perfect balance: scenic hikes, iconic tourist sites, and visits to some of Scotland's best distilleries.

Ahead of our departure, we received an organized binder with all our documents and details, followed by a pre-trip call where Lydia walked us through everything. Throughout the planning process, she was incredibly responsive to our questions and a true pleasure to work with. While a few minor hotel hiccups came up due to the busy travel season, the overall experience was seamless thanks to the thoughtful planning and expert coordination.

We're already planning our next trip with Audley--this time to South Africa with another couple. We've been working with Thora, a local specialist, and once again the process has been thorough, professional, and exciting. Thora has brought great insight and energy to the planning, and we're confident this next adventure will be just as wonderful as our past experiences.

The agent, Jeff, planned a 2 week customized trip to Greece. Lots of moving parts (10 tours, at least 15 different drivers, intra-country flights, and a ferry), and everything came together nicely. Hotel choices (7 of them) were excellent. The local people they contracted with were very good. Both Jeff and the people in Greece were responsive, thorough, friendly, and professional.

I just finished my second trip with Audley. I love their full service approach. They listen to the kind of trip I'm dreaming of, add their expertise, and create something that truly becomes a trip of a lifetime.

Eric curated an incredible two-week trip for us to Portugal and London. He listened to our preferences and delivered a perfectly balanced itinerary with great accommodations, smooth logistics, and memorable experiences like a London food tour and Douro Valley wine tasting.
He was responsive, detail-oriented, and clearly invested in making the trip special.

Travel to Singapore and onward to Borneo met all our expectations. The travel, although sometimes arduous due to the remoteness of the location, was well worth the effort. Audley provided excellent guidance as to locations to visit, accommodations that were well situated and top notch, and guides that were local to the areas that we were exploring. My wife was interested in the indigenous cultures while viewing wildlife was my main goal. Alix, our specialist, was able to blend both of our goals in to one successful trip. Great trip and Great company. No hesitations on recommending Audley.

My husband and I have used Audley three times over the last ten years (Peru, Croatia and Thailand), and have always had a fantastic experience. We just returned from our 14 day trip to Thailand with our three children and we had the time of our lives! It was so well thought out, and every transition was so seamless. Each accommodation was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Even the long car ride from Chiang Mai to Golden Triangle felt like a luxury, with a well-stocked van with wifi and plenty of stops. We loved getting such a wide range of cities and experiences throughout the trip- it felt like we covered a lot of ground.

Everything about each resort was first class, from check in to checkout. The accommodations they chose were perfect for our family- we loved the activities (especially Thai boxing in Ko Samui, which we all tried!) the kids LOVED kids club and made new friends there, and we took advantage of the pool, the spa and the gym and tennis courts as well.

Golden Triangle Anantara especially was a once in a lifetime experience, getting to enjoy the elephant sanctuary. The room was beautiful and the jungle bubble was truly incredible. We will never forget that.

As usual, all of the guides were so interesting and informative, and we loved having some insight from a local into each place. I truly feel like I learned so much on this trip- everything from the Buddhist religion, to the opium industry, to the coffee industry, to the unusual fruit, to the local customs. That's always one of my favorite things about traveling with Audley, is the cultural experiences that really make you feel like a traveler, not a tourist. We recommend Audley to all of our family + friends!

Eric put together a six-city tour of northeastern, central and southern Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Cordoba & Granada) staying in magnificent hotels in the city old towns; arranging rail travel between cities and drivers and tremendously informative personal guides; and booking local events and reservations at outstanding restaurants offering fantastic local cuisine. The guides presented the rich history of the region often in the very buildings where that history was made. The winding old town lanes offer both fairyland and upscale urban experiences, while the restaurants provided extravagant and intimate delight. We will use Eric for future travel without hesitation.

From start to finish, Eric customized a 14 day expansive Spain itinerary for my husband and me including overnight stays in Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Granada and day trips to Toledo and Cordoba. Train and airport transfers were seamless, walking guides were diverse, informative and helpful. Audley vetted boutique hotels and restaurants offered outstanding hotel locations, exceptional daily breakfasts, and lovely accommodations. When I needed a doctor for ear infection, an MD was summoned immediately at Seville hotel. Audley’s travel materials, website and travel specialist approach offer flexible price point, excellent communications, conscientious, service oriented travel
experience for discerning traveler!

Audley Travel was amazing from start to finish. Our trip came together quickly. We knew that we wanted to go to S Africa and experience a safari and all that the area had to offer. Our South African specialist, Thora, shared her first-hand experiences and helped shape a trip that balanced time, costs, and off-the-chart sites and adventures.

We typically put together our own travel, but heading to South Africa was beyond our comfort range. With the help of Audley, we ended up seeing Cape Town, went on safari in Thorny Bush Preserve, and then on to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We encountered no issues on this trip!!! People picked us up when needed, flights were great, and the food and hotels were fabulous.

Although there were zero issues, we felt very glad that there was a team available to help us if the need arose.

From the initial inquiry right through to our return from South Africa Thora Taylor from Audley Travel could not have been more professional. The suggestions itinerary wise, as well as lodging could not have worked out better. Questions and requests for information were always responded to in a timely manner. Her hands on experience with the many aspects of such an adventure were truly appreciated.

The itinerary was perfect. Thora took careful consideration of my priorities and built a unique experience that left both my husband and I with a desire to return in the near future. We met wonderful people from different parts of the world, learned a lot about the local environment and took home memories that are irreplaceable.

Had an amazing trip to Japan thanks to Audley Travel and our rep, Adam Falk. He took time to listen to our requests, what interests we had, what we hoped to take out of this holiday. Everything was beyond what we imagined, hotels were perfect and in good locations, the guides he had set up along the way provided information we never would have known if we did this completely on our own. The itinerary fit us perfect, from big city to small towns, gardens and temples. This is our second holiday with Audley, completely satisfied with the planning and service they provide, their reps are very knowledgeable, will definitely use again for future travels.

Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with and she did an outstanding job planning our last-minute customized trip to Italy! We had a great experience working with agent Jeff Procopio, based in the U.S. We were planning a 35th anniversary trip to Switzerland & Italy (we'd never been to either) and only had a high level vision for our trip. Jeff listened to our thoughts and crafted an itinerary that realized that vision and aligned with our budget. Jeff was amenable to making adjustments based on our feedback, until we arrived at the perfect itinerary for us. Jeff was also immensely helpful identifying best modes of transportation between the many points during our 2-week journey; sharing his insights on tipping, activities, tickets, excursions, etc. We were sent a well-organized binder with all the details and documents preceding a 90-min pre-trip call with Jeff to review every detail of our trip. It was only on that call that we realized how many questions we had and asking Jeff in real time was so valuable. We felt confident as we embarked on our trip and Audley Travel was highly responsive to any questions that came up while touring. And...it was truly a trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend Jeff and Audley to craft a personalized and special experience.

My daughter and I went on a literary tour of England and it was the best trip we have ever taken! Lily, our travel specialist did a fantastic job of designing the perfect itinerary and every location we went to had the best amenities and every guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. I would recommend Audley Travel to anyone wanting to go on the perfect adventure!

I have to admit I was a bit worried at first, using an agent we found online, but the reviews are true. Our trip to Italy was planned perfectly and was fabulous! If we had questions, there was always someone available to answer them. Even while in Italy, the partners that work with Audley were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Cassey is who we began our planning with until a position transfer, and Jenna is who we completed everything with. Both women were wonderful to deal with and very knowledgeable. Our drivers were all extremely pleasant, our tour guides made the experience so much better, and our hotels were all very clean and comfortable. It was an amazing journey.

From the first contact to our arrival home our experience with Audley and Eric was the best vacation time we have ever spent. We have done others and none compare to the expertise and quality of service we received from Audley. We had a wonderful time and would continue our frendship with all that were involved.

Culinary Delights
One of the standout moments of our trip was a hands-on paella cooking class in Barcelona. With guidance of our wonderful chef, Ana from Fresh Cooking Spain led us through the art of crafting traditional paella, along with tapas. Her warmth, humor, and passion for Spanish cuisine made it one of our favorite memories.
Architectural Marvels
In Barcelona, the Sagrada Família left us absolutely speechless. Gaudí’s visionary architecture, from its towering spires to its intricately detailed facades, was even more impressive in person. Our guided visit brought the history and symbolism of the basilica to life, and it was an experience we’ll never forget.
Artistic Treasures
Another highlight was our visit to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC). The museum’s extraordinary collection of Romanesque church murals, Gothic altarpieces, and modern Catalan art gave us a deeper appreciation for the region’s rich artistic heritage. In addition to the artwork, the rooftop terrace offered spectacular panoramic views of Barcelona—an unforgettable vantage point that perfectly capped off our visit.

Every step of our journey was effortless, thanks to Hannah’s expert coordination. From beautiful accommodations to knowledgeable local guides, she tailored the entire experience to our interests and preferences. Her personalized touch and support throughout made us feel both cared for and inspired to explore.
