A good partner in which rely. Contact them if really needed

Matt was super efficient and helpful

Matt was super efficient and helpful. The oven was put in, in no time at all and Matt ensured everything was working perfectly before leaving. Matt was extremely friendly and I will definitely be using Mashworth services again.

Damaged marble and did not take responsibility

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience with Ashworth Group's end of tenancy cleaning.

1. The cleaning was insufficient and they had to return to the flat for a second round (to their credit they did return when asked);

2. They damaged marble in the flat, which I explained on multiple occasions was extremely sensitive;

3. They did not take responsibility for the damage, providing multiple conflicting reasons for why they were not responsible.

I could somewhat forgive (1) the bad cleaning; I could even somewhat forgive (2) the marble damage since it was really difficult marble (which is why I told them to be careful).
But I was extremely put off by (3) the attempts to insult my intelligence with all the various reasons they could not be responsible for it when they obviously were.

Reasons they provided for lack of responsibility included:
(i) Someone else did it (records show no one else could have)
(ii) The damage was simply 'revealed' due to the cleaning (absurd since the marble was polished the previous day)
(iii) They left the place in perfect condition as seen in the images they sent me (they sent 'before' images and unrelated images).
(iv) It's not possible to damage marble with the products they used (not true -- this is grey marquina which is extraordinarily sensitive).

Very disappointed and extremely upset with Ashworth Group for the damage they caused and lack of decency to accept it and even provide a refund.

We are extremely saddened to read your review. As you can see, we are not accustomed to negative reviews. Our services on all departments are of extremely high standards and are monitored on a continuous basis for high quality control.

Unfortunately for us, you have continued to degrade our service and company on this and other review platforms even though we have made all efforts to assist you and explain our side, which you have failed to mention in your review.

As you have stated, there were some small omissions that were found from the check out post clean which we immediately returned to rectify. This is our standard practice as we offer a full guarantee on our services. We left the property in a full professional condition and you and your agent signed the job off and were extremely happy.

As for the tiles, i would like to clarify that we have provided you with full proof by sending you before and after pictures from the clean clearly showing the tiles being in a clean condition when we left. Furthermore, we have had dozens of email exchanges between us discussing this matter in length.

I will add that it is not possible for our cleaning products to cause staining as you have explained. warm water and eco friendly soap used with a soft sponge could not have caused such issues. again, all this was explained to you in detail.

To then receive such a negative review from you, and to continue receiving the same copied and pasted review on other platforms is upsetting for us to say the least.

We do not know what more to say in this case other than please contact me direct at my office so we can readdress the previous conversations.

Fast and Efficient Service

They were extremely helpful as had to rearrange the visits last minute and was up against a deadline

Highly recommend for Inventory

Have used Ashworth for many years for Inventory, I have always found them to be very friendly and courteous. Their level of detail in the report is impeccable. Highly recommend!

A pleasure to deal with

A pleasure to deal with - responsive by email and phone with friendly customer service. Very reasonably priced and the services are to a high standard. Had a bit of a mixup (my fault) and they were very accommodating.

As a landlord I'll use them for all inventory services going forward.

Punctual, professional and precise.

We have been using Ashworth Group for their inventory services for quite a few years now. Compared to other companies their reports are much more detailed, more precise and rarely need updating with further information. It gives us real peace of mind to know we have proper documentation and photos of the condition of our flats at check in and check out. We also look forward to trying out their cleaning services in the future.

Have known Jay for years and in that…

Have known Jay for years and in that time have not met a more efficient and professional Company, their Inventories stand head and shoulders above any i have come across. Its a professional document and meticulously produced. Ive had next day inventories and next day turn around. A streamlined and super efficient service with a smile always!

Amazing service!

I had my property, which was left in a horrible state by the former tenant professionally cleaned by Ashworth Group and all I can say is that I was extremely impressed by the team that took on this colossal clean.
I didn't recognise the place after they completed the job; I honestly thought that I had to replace the oven as it was extremely stained and saw no way that they would bring it back to life.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the oven was immaculate, and looking nearly like new.
Same for my chrome, shower, bath, etc. all was cleaned to a high standard, left to a high polish and all limescale was removed.

Excelent job indeed

Apartment left Filthy

Professional clean and the apartment was left filthy.

Asworth were instructed to clean my property by my estate agent Keatons. It was by far the worst professional clean I have seen. The bathroom was left full of limescale. Filthy cloths were used as within days of the apartment being cleaned and left empty thick black mould had grown on the toilet seat. The skirting boards in the kitchen still had food engrained in them. There was hair left on the floor which had not been hoovered properly and they did not touch the balcony.

I did complain by email to the MD, who refused to take any responsibility for the poor service stating as the professional clean happened 2 weeks prior to me gaining entry to the property it was not their responsibility. This is nonsense as the keys were with the estate agent and no one had access to the property. He then went on to say the mould was because I had a damp apartment. This tells you everything you need to know about the company.

I wish I had the ability to load the photos of what Ashworth believe is a professional clean. It is my belief that as the property is tenanted they assumed no checks would take place. I have to say I was horrified at the state of it and spent hours doing their job.

Never again will I allow my tenants to waste their money on this company.

Unfortunately, I feel differently to your points. I would just like to clarify a few points which I feel may shed some light to the situation at hand;

We cleaned the property 14 days prior to your communication to your agent, Keatons. A lot can happen in a property during this length time.

We have a full guarantee on all our services within 48 hours. Unfortunately, we were informed of your concerns 14 days after the job was completed.

We have the post clean photos that show the property to be clean, especially the areas you specifically mentioned being the bathroom wall and toilet seat. We have shown that we have left the property in an exceptionally clean condition. These photos have been shared with your agent who I presume has then shared with you? What has happened since in the 14 days should not be put to our responsibility.

It is not that I have refused to take responsibility, I have merely shown Keatons the proof of how we left your property after the clean. I felt that two concerns you had which were specific to two points in the bathroom only, and not related to any other sections of the property, are non cleaning related and certainly not related to using dirty cloths.

From your review I see that you have photos that show areas unclean that you have been unable to share. As I also have photos to show how we left the property, I feel it would be beneficial for us to share them between each other. We can then discuss what has and hasn't happened from that point.

Not an honest and fair company, if you are the tenant

I thought this was an honest and correct company, but I was wrong.
They might be a great deal for landlords but definitely not for tenants, as in my case they paired with the landlord (who was recognized as “crazy” from the agency, the previous tenant and the neighbors) in modifying the inventory checkout report, especially when their staff broke an item during their cleaning, which we, as tenants, had to pay fully ourselves.
I am extremely dissatisfied with their work mostly because we were their clients as much as the landlord, and were not treated with honesty.
They were aware of lies going on but refused to see them, as the landlord, at the end of the day, will be their client for a longer time than me. And pays more money!
They did not deserve us using them for the final professional cleaning. I am so gutted I decided to go for it.
Beware of the massive conflict of interest while using the same company that does inventory check our and final cleaning!!
I am happy to give details to anyone interested, as, differently from what I hear from them, there is not a single lie from what I report!

I am sorry to read that something may have broken at the property during our service. I am confused that we were not made aware of this by anyone before.

Rent London Homes

I am a private Residential London Landlord.

I have been using Ashworth Group since 2012 for both Checkin/Checkout Inventories and EPC’s. I have always found Ashworth Group to be excellent in all departments. They always respond within 24 hours to my emails, and are very good and considerate with arranging a convenient date/time with the Tenants for all Inventories. This is particularly impressive, as our properties are large 6 bedroom houses = access is required to all rooms, and this has to be arranged with all 6 tenants.

Ashworth Group’s Inventories are very detailed and precise. The layout is very clear and easy to cross check and reference when it comes to comparing the checkout inventory against the checkin inventory. Ditto the EPC’s and fees.

Invoices are also clear with no hidden extras or fees, and are again promptly emailed immediately after any job.

Ashworth Group are a thoroughly professional excellent Company. I have enjoyed working with them for the last 7 years and look forward to working with them for many years to come.

Everything resolved

Update: Thanks to Jae for coming to a resolution about this incident that works for both of us. Really happy to have sorted this and will be using Ashworth Group in the future.

I've used Ashworth Group on a few occasions and been very satisfied with the service. On the most recent occasion, however, there was some damage caused to the bathroom. Accidents happen and I assumed Ashworth Group would deal with it fairly.

Instead, the cleaners claimed I wouldn't give them permission to take photos in my flat before and after. They never asked. And because there are no photos, the company is saying there's no proof they caused the damage. I have an invoice for £160 from the bathroom fitter who had to come back and repair the damage caused. The bathroom was only installed in April.
