Awful location without transport, no air con and short staffed
We were staying at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a tour. Unfortunately, without transport. This hotel is located several miles outside of Lecce and there are no buses or curtesy bus. only expensive taxis. Despite our dilemma we thought we would make the most of it and use the facilities advertised. Both pools were shut, the treatments seemed to be very difficult to book, the hotel was understaffed and the aircon wasn't working. The reception kept saying the Italian season doesn't start until 14th June another 2 weeks away.
If this was my hotel I would have serviced the outside pool which was already full of water and looked very clean and employed a life guard so that these 16 guests could use it but no. They could have opened the bar for us by the pool as they did have loungers which we took advantage of and were very hot as temperatures reaches 31 degrees.
The manager was walking around the pool scowling at us and we felt just in the way.
Because the staff were short the bar inside wasn't manned and the restaurant staff were trying to do both. The restaurant food is good but sometimes because of lack of staff there is a long wait and on one occasion a dessert which should have had meringue was served without it.
