I used Arkiplan to design the split of my detached house into two semis. It was not a simple project and required quite a few iterations to make the best use of the space without build costs spiralling out of control. With Arkiplan's help I have a fully approved plan that I'm very happy with now. There weren't any hidden costs and the service was very much as described on the website. I would definitely use them again.

Nikki and her team were quick to provide a plan and respond to any questions. The process was smooth from start to finish.

We had a very positive experience with Arkiplan. Tahirah, our designer was great to work with. She was very responsive and made very helpful contributions to our project. We knew exactly what we wanted in terms of design so we just needed Arkiplan to get us through all of the planning hurdles. The turnaround for all of their work was fast and efficient. Thanks to their expertise we had a very smooth journey through the planning process. Our build is nearly complete and we have not encountered any issues arising from any of the work done by Arkiplan. They were excellent value for money too. Highly recommend.

Survey: required even though I had survey data available from others.
Architectural design: very good, positive interaction with the designer who was very responsive and very helpful.
Liaison with planning authority: Efficient.
Structural Calcs: Great. Clear reports, Engineer open to alternative suggestions for structural design, speedy responses to queries and suggestions.
Overall - a very good experience. I would not hesitate to use Arkiplan again.

We started working with Arkiplan in December 2024, five months after buying our second home, to design an extension that would give us the open plan living we've always wanted. Although we were initially cautious about using an online architect, the team were fantastic from the start. The 3D scan of our house was incredibly helpful, and Taahirah supported us through the design process, making great use of space while incorporating our ideas.

Planning permission felt straightforward as Arkiplan handled communication with the local council. We experienced a small delay due to minor calculation amendments linked to party wall agreement, so we’d recommend double-checking revised plans — but it was quickly resolved.

Demolition began in August 2025, we broke ground in October 2025, and 15 weeks later we have a fully watertight shell! Our builder was very happy with the structural drawings and calculations and building control have visited at multiple stages and been over the moon with no issues! Overall, a very positive experience and we would happily recommend Arkiplan to anyone wanting an extention!

We are halfway through the process (at the drafting of the plans stage) and we could not be happier! This company are indeed 'the real deal: professional, knowledgeable, effective, efficient and friendly. Good value for money (so far). We would not hesitate to recommend and endorse Arkiplan.

Streamlined Planning Process

I was recommended Arkiplan by a referral. I was apprehensive having never used the services before. Dave was my representative throughout the process and he provided a lot of useful help and advice. He supported with revised iterations as the initial plans did not get the sign off we had hoped. He follows through on what he says and ultimately is doing his best in an industry where client's can get taken for a ride. He supported with the planning on another project and helped with again multiple iterations based on the option I had purchased. He was kind enough to provide some sketches and his idea of Arkiplan has streamlined costly architectural fees to be much more cost-effective and also feel like a valued client. Thank you, Dave and to the rest of the team.

Your attention to detail was formidable
Nothing was too much trouble. You led us through the entire process, dealing with the Planners and Building Control and obtaining a positive outcome. I felt that the company ethos was to provide the best service possible to its customers. My advise to anyone appointing Arkiplan is to go for the Premium package. It is such good value.

From start to finish Arita our Architect made us feel comfortable and was able to design our dream loft conversion. We was dubious at start to see how an 'online' architect would work but as soon as we had our initial meeting we knew we made the right choice. We did make a couple of different design choices (sizes of Velux windows) and a picture window at the rear for aesthetics. She was always available throughout the build stage and asked us for regular updates. Have now recommended them to friends and family

Dave and the team at Arkiplan were fantastic. They were very helpful with the design ideas of our new porch. They handled all of the planning application and made the whole design process enjoyable. I would highly recommend this company.

I am planning to use this company and today’s review is about the reviews. This company is not afraid of the 2 star reviews ; and I am happy to notice that the company has been clear on identifying the issues that caused the low rating and provided a response that tries to communicate back to the customer and where they have not succeeded in providing a solution to the issue they have put their hand up and owed it with a fair response to ensure some resolve to the issue can be reached.

I think I am going to reach out this company for my small project.

Good honest company not afraid to reach a fair conclusion (first) even if it means a refund.

We had a good experience working with Arkiplan on our extension project. They were really easy to engage with right from the start, and the whole process was smooth and efficient.

Their app and online platform made everything simple to follow, from sharing initial ideas to reviewing final designs. The virtual meetings were helpful – being able to talk through the plans interactively and make changes in real time made a big difference.

Nothing but Rave reviews for Arkiplan and Nicki, our designer! We are two structural engineers, and know the industry well. We knew what we wanted from Arkiplan, and they supported our vision and worked with us to incorporate our non-typical details.

I would thorougly recommend Arkiplan to design and provide a full Architects service. I first engaged their service before Covid hit and they have been just exceptional since then both with their design and customer care.
My Architect is Nicki Chew and she has been wonderful to work with. Her drawings were just what we asked for - along with her additional recommendations and we were thrilled with the plans she drew up and her customer care throughout.
Due to the rising building costs as the pandemic hit in 2020 we decided to put our plans on hold. No problem at all for Arkiplan and Nicki has communicated with me at agreed intervals during the time period to date.
I've recently had a zoom meeting to discuss finally progressing the build and apply for planning. From start to 'nearly' finish it has been a pleasure to deal with Arkiplan, Nicki and Gemma as the first point of contact. I would absolutely recommend this company.
