Great Quality custom holster

Wanted a custom holster due to my light. Turn around was quick for a custom holster. I waited a little while before reviewing because I wanted to test it out. This is a GREAT! holster. Fit to the pistol and light are perfect, the kydex is thick and has held up through several training classes where I had to lay on the ground on the holster.

Only responds to order emails but never anything else

Ordered a drop leg holster and waited a few weeks with no correspondence so decided to email .. He returns and says he has been trying to contact me 4 weeks bc I need to pick another holster color .. That's fine but he never emailed me , I looked through all my emails .. He immediately ships the holster and it's ok but it's missing the Molly webbing cover it had in the photo.. So I email and ask if it's an extra item I need to buy or if I just mistakenly didn't get one .. No response . Wait a week and send again , no response .. Did this for 5 weeks .. The only email I ever got from this guy was telling me he didn't have the color I ordered and to pick another .. Once you send payment don't expect any further communication .. He happily takes your money then ignores you . Was the quality good ? Yes .. was the service heck NO . Take your money elsewhere ..

I hate the kind of people who think their job is done after they ship you a box and they will give you no more of their time .. Almost a 200 dollar order and can't even talk to me ??

I truly believe that bc he didn't have the color I picked he was just going to keep the cash and hope I forget about it bc he never tried to contact me ..

I ran my own one man biz for 15 years until medical injury made me retire and 5 years after I'm retired I still get clients come up to me to tell me I'm still a legend in their neighborhood.. I was a 5 Star landscaper .. I overloaded myself with 7 days a week of work and NEVER took 1 day off in 15 years .. Yea , not even Christmas bc I couldn't afford to get behind .. I would service my commercial buildings as no one would be there and I wouldn't be a bother on anyone .. I did that for every holiday..

Lord there isn't a word that describes how hard I had to work but I tell you what . In all 15 years I never got even 1 complaint and never lost a client even when they moved .. They would put the lawn contract on the table for the new owners to see and I never skipped a beat . They of course fell in love with the yard when buying the home and wanted to be certain it would stay that way .. I even followed clients move to their new place if it was close and they would hire me again ..
When I left all of the landscapers around got calls to take over the yards and we are all friends .. They tell me the thing they hate the most is when a customer complains and says , well Justin use to do it this way .. They all tell the clients IM SORRY BUT IM NOT JUSTIN ! I CANNOT DO IT EXACTLY THE SAME ITS JUST NOT POSSIBLE .

POINT IS that I never ignored a customer and worked 7 days a week to make them happy and always had time for their questions or concerns .

So the way I see it if I can do it then ares tactical can too but there just a bad business .. Great and smooth transactions but once that money is paid don't ever expect to talk to them again ..

For the record I really hate writing bad reviews and I hope the owner sees this and takes it as advice and not personal attack .. If the owner has problems that's okay. Every business does, but you could at least tell the customers what's going on because 99% of them are very forgiving.. Just like the wait notice that it could take 8 weeks for your order to ship. No one is angry about that because they knew it up front before they paid for the product.. If you are too overloaded with emails just put the word out on your site so people would understand .. But the worst thing you can do is not respond to a customers concern.. because that basically tells the customer everything they need to know about your business and they will very likely never come back. I hope you can do better in the future. My friend. I have No ill intent toward you.. It would actually make me happy to see you correct these problems and to really excel and exceed in your business..

Lead times

Lead times, and and a bit on the higher side for price, but a good solution nonetheless.

I got a shoulder holster from them for a G40. Not only are they one of the few companies that make such a holster, but they also offered options to accommodate a weapon light and red dot! They will custom make anything you want, and their stuff is very good quality. Right out of the gate the holster was tight and held my 'surprise tools' very well. After a bit of adjusting the straps were very comfortable and fit well.

The only issue, is the lead times, it took around 8 weeks from placing my order to it being shipped. So if you want to buy this for someone as a gift, you need to order it well in advance. But like I said, you can order any number of configurations and additional side options, giving you exactly what you want.

Best EDC belt

Most pleased with the rigidity and build quality of this belt. It's rare to get something that makes me think it's better than what I paid for it, but this EDC belt does just that. Haven't found a better one out there.

What a joke!

I really wanted to like this company. If you look at their website, they have some really cool kydex holsters for every pistol and if not they will custom make it (per their website). I was in the market for a shoulder holster and the one they offered looked EXACTLY like what I wanted. Not leather/suede. Thin webbing straps. And a kydex sheath that would fit my pistol along with my light attachment. Only Ares offered this and I was bound to buy it. It was close to $200 so I sent them an email and asked about the correct option to order. They responded quickly. I placed my order that same day. Then I anxiously waited and I knew it had a 7 week lead time. No problem.

So what’s the issue? I was reviewing my order and had another question I wanted to clarify. This was about 1 week after I placed my order. I emailed Matt (the veteran owner) and expected a quick reply again. Nothing. I emailed again (2 weeks) because I didn’t want them to make my sheath incorrectly and wanted to make sure I ordered it correctly. Nothing. I emailed again (4 weeks) Nothing. I was not emailing about where my order was or when it would ship, just wanted to make sure it would be made correctly.

I got my sheath in about 6 weeks. My concerns about the sheath was not an issue as it arrived exactly as I needed it. I wear the holster for 3 weeks and it breaks. I sent Matt an email and the picture of the break and guess what? That’s right! Nothing!!

This seems like a legit business run out of a residence. You cant Google review them though so not sure why. They have a few YouTube people talk about how great this place is. They seem legit but their customer service and quality of work is just not worth it. There are far too many people making kydex sheaths you just don’t want to take an expensive chance with Ares. Try Ethos Survival. OMG those guys are incredible!

Ares seems to be responsive if it helps you place an order. But if you have any questions after the order or after your sheath breaks, forget it. Like I said. Ethos Survival. They make custom kydex EDC sheath for pistols and tools and will combo them in any way you want. Ethos replied to one of my questions at midnight.

Ares Tactical has a lot to learn about customer service.
