I have used this company twice previously and was very happy with their service.
Because of my husband's frailty I needed a very large piece of furniture moved from one room to another before he came out of hospital. I spoke to a young lady in the office, explained the situation and unbelievably she arranged for two young men to come along and move the furniture that very same morning.
I am extremely grateful for the help provided and wish the company and the staff all the very best for the future.

Excellent removals company which went above and beyond to re-locate a good friend and her belongings from a difficult situation involving a dangerous neighbour to another part of the country. Three main men and three extra men arrived in the morning full of good energy and worked their socks off to help my friend and I pack her remaining items and move. They were kind, friendly and discreet and turned a fraught situation into a very productive day ending in celebration. Massive thanks from my friend and I to Catherine in the office and to Alan, Harris, John, Lewis, Michael and Scott who were all outstanding. I won't hesitate to recommend AMC to anyone thinking of moving, or to anyone to simply pass the recommendation on. One of Scotland's finest.

I cannot recommend this company enough! I enquired via email and Ester was excellent with a dozen date changes (due to house chain) we got there in the end but she was incredibly patient. The team who came to pack Jay, Tadas and Kos(sorry I’m not spelling this correctly) were excellent nothing broke nothing missing all transported expertly!

On delivery everything was put where we wanted! We were delayed and so the team were here 2 hours longer then they should we obviously had to pay for this which wasn’t an issue at all for me as the team were SO good!

We also hired them to do a furniture collection and once again Jay and his team were complete professionals so friendly and obliging!

The best money spent on a house move

Great engagement when I first enquired. A little negotiation needed on the quote as cc volume was a little 'over-estimated' however it all happened as promised and the guys were diligent, friendly (and very good at understanding the physics of getting large chairs through narrow door frames!). I booked the full packing service and i had to do almost nothing myself which was what i needed as i am alone and have back/mobility issues. They worked hard and fast and whilst it remains to see what happens at the destination end, so far everything is pointing to a great experience

Just had the experience of dealing with this company.
After utilising their Instant Quote service, I proceeded to make contact for a full quotation.
Then started a series of shocks which on their own would have given business to anyone else.
The quotation (at that point) was very nearly 300%.
Proof of ever needed that there is no substitute for dealing with an experienced surveyor. Several conversations later ( mainly caused by my memory losses) and a better understanding of additional costs for not being ground floor; we have had and accepted a final quote. The only adjustments were multi level living and extra furniture.
Alex turned an initial bad experience into a positive, and has us feeling positive for our house move.

We recently moved back to England from Fife. After some research we decided to hire AMC from the move. This was a long move over two days, moving out on the Monday and moving in on the Tuesday.

From the initial contact to the email I received today, Alex, Catherine, Shannon and everyone else were friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and gave advice and suggestions on certain elements of the move. On the moving days all the staff involved worked like trojans both days.

We had an awful lot of stuff to move, and unfortunately despite the removal crew's best efforts we discovered that the back of one of our bookcases was damaged. Now accidents happen and sometimes things go wrong. AMC - quite reasonably - asked for a description of the damage and for photos. I got an email today stating that they had accepted our claim for the cost of the damage and had transferred the full amount of our claim to our account. No prevarication, no "it must have been like that before", no "nothing to do with us, mate".

Any firm can look good when everthing's going well but the acid test is how they respond if there's a problem. Based on the whole of our experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend AMC to anyone for a house move.

Finally getting round to writing this. I used AMC for a house removal, dividing my furniture into two different storages and then for the part that they had stored for removal into a new flat. Also during the storage they arranged for my Grand Piano to be taken out for removal to London.

I didn’t see this as an easy process but AMC were excellent throughout - the people on the phone were quick to sort out questions and it was clear all along how much everything would be.

The actual removals were the best I have had - I have moved 5 times in 10 years - no nonsense no scuffs and when a couch wouldn’t fit through the door they didn’t just force it they explained the options before doing anything rash.

No hesitation in using AMC again but frankly hope I don’t need to!!
