Good prices, custom service options, helpful staff
They beat the prices of the competitor we were looking at on every product! And I had some custom printing requirements that they fully assisted with and accomplished. Since the custom order couldn't be added to my basket on the website with my other items, I was worried about paying two delivery fees, but they waived one for me.

Item descriptions need to be clearer
The Alder boards are great, exactly as expected and exactly like the last ones - perfect for my pyrography. But the Acacia ones are covered in some sort of oil or wax which makes them unusable to me as this will clog my nib and create nasty, probably toxic fumes. I have corresponded with Ellie and she has looked into this and said it's to protect the wood. I understand that, but it should be made clear in the item description and I would not have bought them. I had some last year and they didn't have any oil on them, just bare wood.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re so pleased you’re happy with the Alder boards.
The Acacia boards are finished with a light, food-safe oil to protect the wood during normal use and washing. This is needed for every type of board that is produced using this style of wood to ensure it reaches food standards. We are not allowed to sell the boards without this.
The Alder board is made from a different wood that does not require extra finishing to ensure its safe for use.
We appreciate your comments and will make sure this is clearly stated in the product description.
As always, we recommend ordering a sample before placing a larger order to ensure the product is just right for your needs.

Thanks so much for the review. I have had a quick look into this. We only send over a ProForma for orders placed online. If you would just like a quote and not an invoice, we have a request a quote button instead. This allows you to get quotes with no obligation to buy or invoice.

Quite good, some error
Product quality is quite good, the ordering process was fairly straightforward, customer service and communication was very good, and delivery was timely. I requested a slightly earlier delivery for a company event and, though it couldn't be guaranteed, my order did arrive a couple of days early--just in time!
One error: when the order was shipped, the house number was not included on the packaging. So when the driver went out for delivery, he couldn't find the address and I received an error notification saying delivery couldn't be made. The delivery service didn't try to contact me to verify the information, so I had to contact them, tell them the issue, and provide the house number. To their credit, they recovered quickly and delivered the same day.
Overall, a good experience.
