Knowledgeable, reliable and communicative; African Travels provide an excellent service. We had an amazing self drive camping holiday in Botswana.

Onze eerste reis naar Afrika is dankzij African Travels een onvergetelijk avontuur geworden.
Vanaf het samenstellen, de voorbereidingen, tijdens en na de reis was het contact zeer prettig.
De lijntjes waren zeer kort waardoor je het gevoel kreeg dat je nooit alleen op vakantie was maar dat er altijd iemand op de achtergrond was die bij je was in geval van vragen, suggesties of problemen, iets wat wij heel fijn vonden

Onze reis naar Botswana zou oorspronkelijk in 2020 plaatsvinden, helaas door Covid-19 moest deze wachten.
Toen wij begin dit jaar aangaven deze reis dit jaar te willen maken, was er meteen weer een prettig en enthousiast contact met Marijnke van African Travels.
African Travels heeft alle expertise om je reis volledig aan je wensen in te vullen.
Naast extra dagen in het start hotel in Johannesburg, de extra nachten in het hotel in Victoria Falls en het uitzoeken en boeken van alle vluchten naar en van.
Daarnaast heeft African Travels ook 2 dag tours in Johannesburg, waar wij een specifieke combinatie voor bedacht hadden, uitstekend voor ons georganiseerd.
Doordat alles prima geregeld was, ook bij de uitvoerende organisatie Drifters met de fantastische locale gids Steven, hebben wij volop kunnen genieten van alle indrukken in het prachtige Botswana.
African Travels kunnen wij dan ook van harte aanbevelen voor je reis met dat beetje extra naar het prachtige Afrika !

Een aanrader! De communicatie met African Travels verloopt zeer vlot; als je vragen hebt, staan ze onmiddellijk voor je klaar, correct en vriendelijk.
De aangeboden reis was een unieke ervaring en tot in de puntjes geregeld. Ik heb een geweldige reis gehad, een "once in a lifetime" ervaring!

Marijnke en collega's hebben ons ontzettend goed geholpen. Ondanks onze late start aan de organisatie (menig organisatie had ons al afgewimpeld met; dat kan niet meer) en de complexe situatie van onze groep mbt visa is alles perfect georganiseerd. Flexibel, betrokken en duidelijk in communicatie.

Goede 4x4, duidelijke reisinstructie, super mooie locaties. Kortom precies de reis zoals we dat graag wilden.

De organisatie is zowel voor als tijdens de reis goed bereikbaar en betrokken. Heel fijn.

Thank you to African Travel our trip to Botswana and Victoria Falls was just perfect. Usually we do organise all our trips on our own but when it came to organise our trip to Africa we immediately realised that to achieve what we were dreaming of, we would have to involve a local travel agency. And we are so glad we chose African Travels! Marijnke and Marieke helped us trough the decision process of what type of trip to organise (a self drive or a mobile wildcamping tour), always being super responsive to our thousand queries. All options presented to us (pre-organised tours and self drives itineraries) were very well explained and both Marijnke and Marieke gave us a lot of advice on also a personal level, which we truly appreciated. In the end we chose a 14 days wildcamping tour, the Botswana Wildside, which was easily one of the best trips of our entire lives. The tour is subcontracted to Sunways Safari, nevertheless, Marijnke and Marieke checked on us during the whole trip to make sure everything was good and as per our expectations! Well… This trip exceeded all expectations we had.!!!!!
Also they responded immediately when we had a slight problem with our last accommodation in Vic Falls and they prompty helped to resolve it. What can I say? Next trip to Africa, should it be a mobile camp, an accommodated tour, or a self drive adventure, we will for sure go with African Travels again!!!!!!

For our first trip to Africa we turned for the first time to a travel agency. We are used to scheduling our own trips in Asia but Africa seemed the big unknown and looking back it was a wise decision to rely on the expertise of the experts of African Travels. In a Skype meeting, Marijnke asked how we like to travel, gave us a glimpse of the beauty of Namibia - just enough to make us all excited. After this, African Travels put together a roadtrip through the beautiful country, and provided us with all the information needed to leave without a single worry. Due to Covid, all flights and lodgings had to be rescheduled... twice. When finally the long awaited trip came, we were enjoying every minute during the trip... and after the trip in our memories

I totally agree with this.

Our first contact with African Travels dates back to 2019. The trip was postponed due to Covid and in the end, with our four children, we were able to make the trip this year and it was great. That is of course also due to Namibia and Botswana, they are beautiful countries to visit, but also to Marijnke and her team.

During the three years of preparation, I was always well and patiently helped and I asked a lot of questions to Marijnke. Everything was on time and the way we wanted it. Service is also paramount during the trip. Questions are answered quickly and if there is something, Marijnke and Marieke will make sure that it is taken care of.

If I want to travel to Africa again, I will at least see if it is possible again through African Travels. I don't think anyone else can do it better.

We had a perfect time in South Africa last summer with our two kids (13 & 18 years old). Totally worth the waiting (planned the trip before Covid). We were very happy with all the effort, advice and organisation skills from Marieke en Marijnke. If we decide to go back to Africa, we will absolutely book by African Travels again. Great trip through Kenya. Really enjoyed the overwhelmingly beautiful nature in the national parks. The trip was well organized and we had a top guide! We stayed in luxury safari tents in the national parks, which was an experience in itself!
Sometimes we left very early in the morning and then took a breakfast, or a packed lunch to have plenty of time for game drives. It's worth it to get up early and see the natural wonders up close. thanks to our attentive guide we saw the Big Five!

We had an fantastic trip trough Africa and visited three countrys SA, Botswana and Zimbabwe. African Travels helped perfectly to create the best possible holliday. The service was always posstive, professional and with an enormous local knowledge and contacts that made the trip extra special.

I went on a 3-week trip with Absolute Africa, and it was one of the best travel experiences i've ever had! They take your safety very seriously; they accommodate your needs; they make sure you're having ample opportunity to relax as well as enjoy many activities. So there is that very well balanced approach to traveling. I have to say, i cannot wait to do another trip with the big yellow truck again. Africa is a magical continent that steals your heart and takes your breath away. I'm glad there are companies like African Travels that ensure to make it affordable for more people to expereice this and don't break the bank while having the most amazing time. AND help the communities in Africa to flourish.

African Travels arranged our trip to South-Africa in a really personal way. They booked a wonderfull guesthouse in Cape Town and we had a perfect tour (Wine tour and Garden Route)! If you ever need a agency helping you out by booking your trip to SA, contact them!

Our trip perfectly matched our expectations. Marieke and team are good listeners and being very experienced, while living in SA, she could translate our wishes in a very nice tailor made journey. Everything was perfectly organised, rechecked and double checked. She knows most accommodations herself. Because she lives in SA it is very easy to contact her by Whats-app, mail of phone. Next to that African Travels provides a very handy - offline - app with all necessary data in it. Marieke contacted us regularly to check if everything was still OK, and it was !!

We hebben een geweldige reis gemaakt door Zuid-Afrika. Wat een prachtig land, zoveel aardige mensen, heerlijk eten en zo ontzettend veel mooie dingen gezien. Prachtige kusten, wild life, natuur, kunst en natuurlijke heerlijk wijn gedronken. De persoonlijke aandacht van de reisagent was zeer prettig! African travels is echt een aanrader om je onvergetelijke reis bij te boeken. We hebben genoten!

This was a great trip and what perfectly arranged! From Johannesburg to the Kruger Park and back again. Everything but everything arranged down to the last detail with freedom of choice. An unforgettable experience for us (son of 12 years)

After good information at the fair, African travels knew exactly what we wanted. She made a clear day to day travel plan, which fitted well with our budget.
