Avoid them if you want to live

Avoid them if you want to live. They absolutely ignore customers have mess in referral letters never contact you. Shame on them and bad name for Laya healthcare to provide service with them. They should be taking of market I'm so angry. They spouse to help sick people and not help them die faster. What a bad bad institution!

Tallaght Hospital nephrology…

Tallaght Hospital nephrology outpatients department
employs the vilest most reprehensible human female possible, she refused to reschedule an appointment for me because I missed an appointment 6 years ago.
The women is clearly deluded and she thinks she is above her station ,turning away people who have very low GFR and who clearly need help and compassion
Instead, she dishes out arrogance and derision.

Had appointment in affidea tallaght…

Had an appointment in affidea tallaght to arrive at 820 at 830 the receptionist said the guy who's doing the xrays is running late hes not arrived an hour later he still hadn't arrived what a terrible service I had travelled a long distance for that appointment shame on you

Went for an ultrasound recently

Went for an ultrasound recently. Doctor and staff rude and cold. Was not finished getting dressed after ultrasound and the doctor pulled the curtain open and opened the door for me to get out with the waiting area in full view. Will never go back here rather wait months for public appointment.

I am waiting nearly 4 months for a ultra sound treatment from this company my doctor sent them a referral letter because I not paid them in advance which they never informed me of this my application was put on hold even doe they never emailed me or wrote to me about this??????? God help us if we have some form of cancer because you’ll be six foot under before they will help you, I wonder does the HSE know how they are treating patients very bad service and very annoyed 😒

Avoid..avoid....avoid

Referred in July .heard nothing...Tried for weeks to book ultrasound. ..told October fully booked in Kilkenny and November book not open on Oct28th. Told someone would call me for Nov. Nobody called.Called on Nov 2nd told Nov fully booked. Kicked up and miraculously one vacancy on the next Monday. Told them to stick it!!!

Avoid or write a bad review!!!

After over month of waiting For MRI scan after refferal letter from GP, and numerous trying to book appointment over link provided they wrote that I will receive callback… that never happened. After I finally reach them thru phone I get appointment in month forward. I could be dead by time of scan... Update after writing this review I been contacted and they accommodate me in mater of less than week! It is sad that you need to name and blame before they took action so I change this review from one star to two.

Great customer service today

I was a bit skeptical of this company ( in Tallaght ) due to my referral being sent to them in Feb and I heard nothing for months and had to ring them to eventually get an appointment in October. The reviews were quite negative too, however, my experience today and customer service I received were excellent! I was seen to promptly for my Ultrasound scan and was made feel very relaxed and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was told my results will be with my GP in approx. 5 working days so I hope I am not waiting any longer.. so far, apart from them initially not contacting me , I am satisfied with the overall experience. I didn’t give 5 stars due to them initially not contacting me but I feel that they did redeem themselves today. Lorraine

I had an MRI in Affideaa Tallght…

I had an MRI in Affideaa Tallght 10/09/2022. As my Tallaght hospital based neurosurgion requested of me, I should ask for a CD of the results of MRI If I had this done privately so he could view them at my appointment with him. This was due to some incompatiblity issue with Affidea and Tallaght hospital computer system.
I requested the CD, which I was told would cost 25euro. I asked did Laya cover this cost also and was assured it did. As I did not recieve a disk I assumed it had gone to my doctor who had issued my refereral letter. I attended my appointment with my doctor yesterday to find he had no scan results from Affedia either digitally or physically in the form of a disk to make an assesment of my condition. I went back to Affedia to enquire about this scan only to be told there was no record of a disk being ordered. I had no option but to order another disk which curiously I was told would not cost 25euro but only 20. Obviously someone messed up with the order for the disk which begs the question, with no disk request, which i specifically did request, are we to assume the results will stay in limbo without ever going to the doctor that issued the referral letter. Hopefully I will not need a scan in future but if i do it will certainly not be in Affedia Tallaght.

Violating data request and so rude

Obnoxious clinic manager. Demanded intimate data from guardian of under 16, including when last menstruated and if female had a coil. I was not a patient and refused to complete this form. They threatened that my child could not have the MRI and it was for safety - when under Covid rules guardians sit in a waiting room anyway, nowhere near the machines. Their attitude was loud, causing humiliation, offensive, objectionable and obnoxious. Humiliating and violating experience carried out in front of other patients and lacking in decorum and discretion. I will never use them again and query why VHI etc would work with them.

Terrible clinic, bad admin, bad customer service

This place does not care one iota for its patients or their concerns. From wrong diagnoses to getting conflicting info, not being given the report I am due when asked and only providing it when I demand it later. Then they refuse to respond to complaints. Garbage service. Might as well put up with long waits at the ED because then at least decent doctors will see you and not lie or refuse to give you info.

Great customer service and patient app

I was recently referred for an x-ray (Tallaght) and an MRI (Dundrum). I was contacted promptly following my GP referral and was offered a option of a larger MRI machine, due to claustrophobia. All staff I encountered when arranging appointments and attending at scan centres were very pleasant and courteous. The patient app provides a record of the images taken and the radiological report, that patients can access and share with their doctors if required. This is a very helpful feature and allows patients to access details of their scan history.

DREADFUL company

Terrible service. This is private healthcare in Ireland. You send a referral from your doctor, they promise to call you once it has been received. THEY DON'T. Then you have to ring them and they give you an appointment two months later, YES two months later when you are in pain and then decide to cancel it without your permsission and give you a date three months later. They take your credit card details to book an appoint and then YES decide to cancel it themselves with no warning, no apology and no concern that this is about health, no puying a sofa. The most dreadful private health service EVER. Avoid if you can and get your doctor/consultant to look elsewhere.

I really don't understand why a doctor…

I really don't understand why a doctor in a private clinic that does CT scans would send a person with a badly broken ankle to an under pressure public hospital to was in agony for almost 17 hours to get a CT scan. Then when the public hospital scans the wrong joint bring the patient back to Afidea for a CT scan. All the while I'm in agony and getting zero treatment. Afidea need to realise people are suffering because of them and their inability to admit wrongdoing and realise an apology costs nothing but not to apologise can cost them a lot more.
