Bait & Switch at its Finest

I got out alive -- I was able to cancel. Abe's changed the product from my order. Then Abe's started trying to upsell me on things like batteries at high prices. They held my order hostage seemingly until I ordered more accessories. I feel good I got out alive.

Seriously consider whether you want to order from this company.

$1700 order sitting in "new" status for five days. They keep calling and emailing to "confirm" the order, which I've since learned is part of the con.

(Meanwhile, my gear from B&H and Amazon has arrived and ready to go.)

Federal statute says they have 30 days to ship, so I guess we'll see.

This is clearly a dishonest business. Won't be buying from them again.

You have read the reviews. You are looking to find THE best buy for that high dollor investing. You want old fashion dependability not buyers remorse. Then simply put, "Trust Abe's ... make that purchase!" Want American made and warranteed wel; the best price; best customer service? Then tell them. Abe's of Maine delivers. As a seasoned photographer of over 50 years who does not buy equipment unless fully vetting the people and business before investing in the sales pitch offered, I choose to buy American warranted equipment and have found you can indeed make the request to do so from Abes and depend on transparency of all options that are available. Ask Jennifer for help if you fear you do not have enough information to decide what option is your best investment.

The autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, the image quality is exceptional, and the sharpness, contrast, and color rendition are simply outstanding. After many years of photography and owning numerous lenses, I can honestly say this is the finest lens I have ever owned.
