We chose ABC IVF because it was advertised as an affordable IVF provider, but our experience has been extremely disappointing and far more expensive than we were led to believe.

We actually transferred from Manchester Fertility because ABC IVF appeared to be the more affordable option, and honestly we now wish we had stayed with Manchester Fertility as the overall costs have ended up being significantly higher than expected.

We paid £4,125 for ICSI treatment believing this would take us through to embryo transfer. However, due to medical reasons, we were advised a fresh transfer was not possible and our cycle ended at egg collection.

We were then required to pay an additional £1,140 for embryo freezing and storage, and have now been quoted a further £1,795 plus medication costs for a frozen embryo transfer. This means our first transfer will end up costing over £7,000 in total.

What is most frustrating is that a “freeze-all” scenario was never clearly explained to us during consultations or consent discussions, despite this being a known and relatively common pathway in IVF treatment. At no point were we properly informed that:

* Significant additional costs would then be required just to reach transfer stage

Had this been explained clearly from the beginning, we could have made a fully informed financial decision.

Communication throughout treatment was also very poor. During stimulation, emails to our assigned coordinator often went unanswered, adding unnecessary stress during an already emotional process.

The organisation and administration also caused additional frustration. The day before my egg collection, I received a call saying my blood tests had “expired” despite attending monitoring appointments every two days leading up to collection. I was asked to come in the same day, which wasn’t possible, so instead had to attend at 7am before my egg collection procedure.

We also specifically chose ABC IVF because the Bury clinic was much closer for us than Wilmslow, yet throughout our treatment the Bury clinic remained closed, meaning we had to travel further anyway.

Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, unexpected costs, and disorganisation made this experience feel more like an overstretched NHS service than the supportive private fertility treatment we expected.

Staff were great. Helpful and supportive. Couldn’t have done it without them!

I would give a 10/10 if this was an option!

After having IVF under the NHS previously, experiencing this a second time round with abc couldn’t have been anymore different in the best way. Emma went above and beyond to ensure everything was as stress free as possible, from accommodating early morning appointments around work times to going through 100’s of pages of my medical records from previous rounds making sure I was on the correct medications/dosage for the best possible chance. We now have a gorgeous healthy baby girl and I can’t thank Emma, abc & create enough. Every single person we came across we felt genuinely cared and there was always that personal touch which makes such a difference when going through something like IVF.

It was such a great clinic! Everyone was so helpful, friendly and supportive, particularly our nurse Emma in Bury. Everyone was so kind and supported us like a family. We have some wonderful news having twins. We would recommend the clinic to everyone. Thanks you so very much for everything you have done to make it happen for our little family!

It’s hard to put into a few words just how exceptional our experience here was. Emma is honestly a saving grace and just the best person myself and husband could’ve hoped for. After a less than favourable experience at a different fertility clinic we were so glad to meet Emma at ABC Bury who’s care was outstanding and nothing was ever too much trouble, she really genuinely cares and it really shows. We’re beyond grateful to her for everything she’s done and I can’t wait to introduce her to our baby when the time comes. Thank you Emma you’re amazing, love the Moodys

We had a lovely experience at the bury clinic. Emma goes above and beyond to help you feel calm and relaxed in quite a stressful situation. She was always there to answer any questions or worries and we couldn’t have done it without her. All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional and we always felt at ease. We now have a beautiful healthy baby boy and would highly recommend abc/create for your ivf journey.

Loved every bit of my experience and Emma and Elizabeth made me feel so comfortable. Pregnant with out miracle baby and their words and advice throughout the whole thing has been nothing but incredible 🥰

A big thank you to Emma for making the experience a positive one. The process in general was smooth and well explained throughout. But it was in those moments outside of normal hours that if I had any concerns or questions Emma did not hesitate to get back to me and answer them and for that I am grateful. It was handy to visit satellite clinics and I was only required to visit the main clinic on occasion. This made it easier to attend appointments and limited the amount of travelling time.

We were so very honoured to have such wonderful care at the Bury satellite clinic and Manchester Wilmslow site. The clinic have the loveliest staff. Staff are thorough and it is never too much trouble to talk through any worries or give you more information. We had another cycle with two previous transfers elswhere before and this experience with ABC/Create was far superior in so many ways.

My nurse Emma and Co ordinator were just brilliant. Very informative and really went out of their way for me. Hospital staff from start to finish were all lovely. All the staff members really are very considerate of your feelings and make your experience very comfortable.
