The software produced gibberish text and was completely unusable. In hindsight, I admit I may not have had the necessary knowledge to fully understand how to use it. When I requested a refund, they not only refused but also retaliated by disabling my subscription. To make matters worse, they submitted false information to PayPal to deny my claim. Very dishonest behavior.
I bought ABBYY FineReader 12 Pro. After three days of trying, it is impossible to activate it. ABBYY is not responding to emails. They don't have a chat support.
In desperation I downloaded the free trial version so I can use it for seven days. Not working. Cannot activate. Need serial number, which you don't get till you activate!
I like the product and the support is fantastic. I had to pay $300 for MemoQ support and they never fixed the issue. ABBYY is how it should be done.
ABBYY Finereader v4 in 2018 gekocht voor Windows maar na overgaan op MacOS daar als v5 kunnen installeren met zelfde licentie-code. Dat is een vermelding waard tussen de concurrenten zoals Adobe met hun abonnement-systeem.
Daarnaast is het een solide PDF-converter, zelfs met de meest complexe opmaak.
Abbyy FineReader constantly lags when scrolling though PDF files, it takes 10-15 seconds to startup (on a high-end machine!) - Adobe Acrobat is open in less than half a second and never lags while scrolling through large documents. I also opened a bug ticket where I reported some PDF form not working as it is in Acrobat, their answer was basically "that's just how it is". Really wish I hadn't spent money on this
My new anti-virus registry cleaner corrupted my ABBYY Finereader pro. I emailed ABBYY support and they got back to me immediately and solved the problem; no fuss & no errors. My Finereader is one of my best tools and the support has always been excellent; even when my ABBYY product has sometimes been old, out-of-date and supposedly unsupported (Microsoft take note and learn!).

I like so much Lingvo Distionary, it's amazing with giant number of thematic dictionaries. Another great product is FineReader wich helps me a lot in recognition of worlds on images. simply great!
