My Kilt Roll arrived in good time, just as described. Good quality.

Was an issue with my order but it was resolved very quickly , very happy with my purchase

Hired a kilt & Prince Charlie jacket/waistcoat for a wedding. Delighted with the quality of the garments and the level of service at the Haymarket shop. I tried another kilt hire business in Edinburgh before going to 8 Yards, but 8 Yards were by far the more professional business. If you're fairly serious about getting decent kilt gear then give this place a try.

A staff member of yours noted that I had picked the wrong colours for the kilt/tie etc. She sent me recommendations and rebooked my order which was really helpful and appriciated. When I went to pick it up there was a mistale on my order and it was booked on the wrong day, possibly by me. The guy in the shop in Musselburgh was super helpful, solution focused and went above and beyond to organise the kilt that day to make sure I had it for the wedding on Saturday. Would definetly use you again because of that guy. He was great.

Cancelling Subscription can only be done over the phone, 20 minute wait time to eventually speak to someone who negotiates like Putin.

The scarves we ordered for my husband’s funeral came surprisingly quickly, and they are of very good quality.

I bought my youngest sons full made to measure kilt outfit for his 21st from eight yards.
I bought my eldest sons kilt from a different, smaller outfitters.
The eight yards shop, at Haymarket, Edinburgh ‘smashed it’.
The eight yards shop were slightly more expensive but….the service and quality was far superior.
You get what you pay for!
I have returned recently to purchase a new, made to measure, kilt jacket/waistcoat for my eldest son, who will wear it at his wedding in July.
The jacket/waistcoat is spectacular with tartan, as per his kilt, on the top of his pockets etc.
Of particular note is Katy who possesses a lot of patience and is ‘well clued’ up on Scottish/Highland wear.
Katy assisted us, greatly and deserves praise.

The product has been a godsend for being able to roll up my class work for transport to and from class. Also I know I’ll be able to use it in the future when I am traveling to piping events and want to have my kilt look fresh and not creased from sitting while driving my car.
