Stay clear complete RIP off paid upfront in August and closed in january refund issued calculated at 26.95 a month I would've been better off paying monthly at only 21.95 !!
My son is the same paid for a year upfront in may and received nothing.
Absolutely disgusted they deserve to go under treating members like this.

Same as everyone else. Took my money for a years membership, closed the gym 6 months in, did not provide a refund.

Like others on here they took money from me upfront and decided to close the gym half way through my contract and are telling me I have no right to a refund.
Sorry, but when you pay for 12 months and they can only deliver 7 months of the contract surely you are entitled to some money back, well not according to this outfit. Stay well away!!

My time at the gym was enjoyable however, after closing they do not respond to my emails in regards to a refund which they mentioned, stay away! Just incase you didn't get that message off the other reviews.

Same issue joined Waterlooville gym at the end of November 2019 and on my first visit could not gain access. Only found out the gym was being re-branded by calling and still no refund. I have contacted bank direct and they are putting in dispute so fingers crossed. The way we have been treated is very poor and they do not respond to e-mails and this is the only point of contact.Recent update I have received full refund from Bank and they are now disputing with 24/7

Waterlooville Gym has closed. They offered to be transferred to Fareham Gym or a refund. Fareham is over 10 miles away and I can walk to the Waterlooville Gym. I thought id take the refund owed. Membership terminated and they refused to refund the partial refund that THEY OFFERED. They knew that they wouldn't do any refunds - so they lied to us.They have tried to use their complicated terms and conditions to keep hold of our money. The gym closing undermines these terms and conditions! The gym as a shambles at best! STAY AWAY!!!

Absolute shower! Waterlooville shut with next to no notice. Refunds not given even though we had 6 months remaining on our memberships.
Avoid at all costs, save your money and go somewhere else.
If they are the cheapest in your area there is a very good reason for that!!!!!!!

24/7 Waterlooville closure. I too, like some of my colleagues paid up front £120 with a promise that I would get the remainer back (around £40) because of the closure. Sent a letter to their Company address last week, to see if I would be getting this refund. As yet, no response. Would I like to travel another 10 miles or so to Fareham; no thank you. Why do they have to lie about these things? They have no conscience - unbelievable, they just bail out and who cares whose money they take with them in the process. Totally unscrupulous! What is so sad is the fact that the community at this gym were making it what it was - and holding the place together. This has been destroyed now, and for what? Disgusted!

I only gave this 1 as you can't give less. Local gym has just sold to another company and we were told people who paid for the year would get a proportionate refund. Just had news we will get nothing even though we have 6 months remaining. We paid in full for the year and it was not our choice to stop using the gym. This gym was run on it's bare bones and the manager could not care less about the people or equipment in he gym. One member even bringing in batteries from home for the scales. The gym is above a store that sells batteries. Closure information has been limited and they refused to answer any questions untill the gym closed so it was fairly obvious they had no intention of paying. Feel this company has ripped us and many other members off.

They closed the Waterloovile, giving member a less than a month's notice. Said we could transfer to Fareham, which is miles away or get refund for any paid months outstanding. Many of us have received a standard email saying we are not owed a refund and a complex calculation excuse. They have ripped off so many members. Avoid them at all costs! 😤

Awful , full of the type that domineer the place shouting all the time , spit in the showers , shave each other’s backs in the wash basins and leave the toilets in a disgusting state , I’m surprised no one has got TB . The management do absolutely nothing about it ,

Absolutely awful customer service they closed down local gym in Norwich where I paid a full years membership and said I wasn’t due any refund but I was only 6 months into a 12 month paid up contract!They are ignoring all my emails have no live chat and no number to call and speak with anyone absolutely rubbish!Will keep perusing until I get my rightful refund

AVOID Would not even give one star. Despite receiving email about proposed refunds after Waterlooville closure NOTHING received despite numerous contact requests

Bought a 12 month membership for £120 over the Black Friday weekend (had done it previously the year before with no issues)
About a week after I received an email to say the gym was closing (Waterlooville) on January 10th but it was decided that refunds would be given to those whom had purchased the £120 offer.
I paid cash in the gym so guess what I’ve lost my money. If you send an email you just get an automated response. You can’t call anyone. Absolutely shocking customer service from an appalling company. If Gary Lockwood is reading this (he’s the CEO) then I suggest you get off your pedestal and do the decent thing for everyone who has lost money. You’re an absolute disgrace and if you can be active on LinkedIn (I’ve been watching your activity) then you should be active in the running of the business properly and then perhaps you wouldn’t find yourself in this situation (or maybe you just couldn’t care less)

Joined the gym in Bromborough with my fiancé in August (£120 year membership each) and we were emailed 3-4 weeks later to say they were closing and everyone would be refunded the remainder of their membership. After some chasing my fiancé got £50 back (They claimed there was administration fees??) and I still have not got anything even though we paid together, as they claim they can’t find my payment!? I have emailed several times, maybe 15-20 emails and all I got maybe 2 replies at the start asking for details I had already sent in the previous email and then all I got back were automated emails saying that refunds are being processed? Clearly not! Such poor customer service, I have opened up a dispute on PayPal now so hopefully it will get sorted but please avoid this gym at all costs!!

really? they charge me extra fees and i am asking for changing the location of a gym room, and reject.....

I took out a year's membership for £120 at the Waterlooville branch for my 17 year old as his Christmas present. A couple of weeks later we found out that 24/7 Fitness was closing on the 10th January. At no time were we informed of this when buying membership, 24/7 were quite happy to take our cash! All I have received from them are automated emails saying that monies will be reimbursed, but as yet NOTHING..... Luckily I paid with a credit card so I will now be trying to claim back this money via Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act (as someone has already detailed here on Trustpilot). This company are con artists and should be avoided like the plague!! If they have taken your money, then p!ease try Section 75 or ask your bank about Chargeback - do not be out of pocket!

Like Norwich, my local branch has also just closed and they are not paying the promised refunds on the annual memberships

Before it's closure the place really went downhill; no hairdryers, broken showers, generally a bit unclean etc.

It seems like they're a company with no money about to go out of business!
