They say they can provide phone number but if you sign up with them and there is no phone number you do t get it and after 1 month your credits are invalid. Poor and misleading, avoid!!!

I have just spent £20 on credits

I have just spent £20 on credits. All credits used to view one item, with no information on it.
I understand you take a risk with Information not being available.. But this is a scam it has taken all my credits and I only clicked once. I will be expecting a refund very unfair.
Furthermore I have just checked once your out of credits you can search for free, but buy credits and it will take them to do the same search and not click on anything. I'm appauled!

Dear Customer, The credits allow you to search for the records provided from the Open Electoral Roll, Business records, County Court Judgments (CCJ), Insolvency data, and Mortality data.

The credit is used when you enter a name and location and press search. An additional credit will then be used if you click on anything else within that search ie CCJ, Insolvency Check, Mortality Check, Director link or other occupant, as these are classed as new searches and another credit is used.
If you click to view the Property Ownership Verification to check if a person is/has been the owner of the property that was searched, then we do advise that 2 credits will be used to view this data.
We do explain all of this under the Help pages prior to and after purchasing credits.

There is a credit warning function that (unless switched off by the user) alerts customers every time they are going to use credits.

We also offer '20 FREE' Directory Enquiry searches per day to search for a telephone number; this search can be only be made by entering a name and location.
Credits are required if you wish to search for the premium records which include names and address provided from the Open Electoral Roll and Companies House, Insolvency data and Mortality data.

CREDITS

I paid for the first time for 6 credits.I used the first
one to look at the record I wanted then continued browsing not understanding I was using up credits
as I went on for the next five I looked at as other users have found.Tried to send an email to
192 which was accepted then rejected
by their postmaster about this.Just wasted nearly £15 on getting what turned out to be the wrong address,I have had a reply today which did not address the issue.

Dear Rod, The records we display on 192.com are provided from the open electoral roll and show a name, address and year a person was registered to vote at that address. If a current record isn’t shown it means the person had opted off the open electoral roll with their council. We do explain this in more detail under the FAQ’s on the Help pages.

Do not go near this company

Do not go near this company. I have written twice to this company requesting a refund. They gave me an address for a friend i was looking for that did not live and had never lived there. For that they charged me £19.14 and said they could not find anyone with my e/ mail address even though i provided them with the payment details. Scam Scam Scam

Very confused system and keep top up credit then eventurally you can't get the unused credit refund.

This is shown under Help pages (prior to registering an account) and on the Get Credits page when you select the product you wish to purchase. Great customer service. I signed up and bought credits on…

I signed up and bought credits on behalf of a friend abroad trying to locate someone in the UK. They then found the person and so as I had not yet used the 192 service I emailed to request cancellation and refund. Received very prompt refund, so very happy. Cannot comment on the service otherwise but seems they have good customer service.

Customer service suprise.

I recently bought a report that didn't include the Electoral Roll information about someone, which was the information I had particularly wanted. 192 refunded my fee immediately without a quibble. You can't say fairer than that.

2 searches produced nothing of any help. The address on one 25 years out of date! No useful information I couldn't get with 20 mins on Google. Don't waste your time and money.

We do advise of the type of data we display prior to registering an account and this can be found under the Help pages. There are a number of our users who find the older information extremely useful, which is why we include information from past years. All information is clearly labelled.

Don't even deserve a star

Don't even deserve a star. 1 number I wanted and you wanted 16 quid to give me a out of date number ..your useing peoples situations
to create a cash cow and you should be ashamed...credits...pfff..why would you not just give people the info for a one off reasonable amount...never again ..feel like I got mugged..change your system...read your reviews....
