I have done two trips with World Expeditions/Australian Walking Holidays. Both have been in Australia. I cannot recommend them enough, their customer service and information leading up to the trips were amazing. The trips themselves are authentic, interesting and led by well-experienced guides. I especially like getting a local experience without having to plan it myself. I look forward to the next trip!
I wish I could give zero stars. We were booked on the Alps to Ocean Classic tour starting 27 December 2025. When an immediate family member passed away on 19 December, we informed World Expeditions that we could no longer travel. Instead of showing even a shred of empathy, they refused to refund a single dollar. Meanwhile, Qantas and Air New Zealand refunded our flights without hesitation. Losing over $7,200 during such a heartbreaking time was awful, but the cold and dismissive treatment from this company made it even worse. I would never book with World Expeditions again and strongly warn others to avoid such a callous operator
Wonderful customer service with Pam who was incredibly understanding and co-operative when an unforeseen event caused us to change our travel plans. I will gladly book again
Hopeless restrictive booking policies, and extremely poor customer service. Do not accept an Amex card and expect inconvenient payment in $US. Raise an issue and they do not budge one inch whilst defending their systems with no compromise, whilst continually saying "they are trying to help "and "find a solution" Do not know the word negotiation.
I have used them loyally since 1985 but NEVER again
