Such a great place to get all your thoughts together for your epic story adventure. It's a little confusing and overwhelming at first, but they have plenty of videos helping you to use the site. Highly recommend!

World Anvil can be an excellent tool for both personal projects and collaborating with others on creative works and world-building. From a broad suite of editing and formatting options, to a variety of types of resources (characters, timelines, story beats, etc.) it's easy to manage your storytelling and coordinate with other creators.

If you're finding the likes of shared text docs and wiki sites limiting and looking to move up for a purpose-built experience, Word Anvil offers a more robust workshop environment to explore developing something special with easy tools and a development and support team who care about their users.

I’ve been a customer of WorldAnvil for a couple of years now and recently decided to get a lifetime subscription. The customer team reached out to me to make sure they understood the request and were good about crediting the unused portion of my annual subscription towards the cost. The process was super easy.

The product itself is great, I’ve used it for planning out campaigns and one shots as well as sharing information with the players of the games that I run. Would definitely recommend.

WorldAnvil is simply the best organizational tool for gaming and writing that I have ever stumbled across. I have been a member now for some years, and they just keep getting better. The staff are dedicated, support is personalized, and the Discord server is active and very supportive. Dimitris and Janet are genuinely nice people, and it shines through in their product and the team they have surrounded themselves with. I recently had a support issue that needed sorting, and we had it under control in less than 12 hours.

This is a wonderful tool, simple but complex at the same time. It really is a tool easy to understand but hard to master.
That said, the complexity comes from all the things you can do in it, and your imagination is the limit.
Plus the team is amazing, I had issue that needed to be sorted and they really understood my situation and managed to make my life easier.

Incredibly useful and good website for wordbuilding

Wonderful application and extremely useful for someone like me who wastes hours going into painful detail about the world they're creating. I upgraded to the paid plan due to me wanting to utilize more features, though for most, the free version is more than enough. I encountered an issue while upgrading and contacted support. In a single business day, we exchanged 6 emails and resolved the issue without ever receiving an automated email. The support person was very kind and helpful and it honestly was super refreshing. Definitely check them out if you're interested in worldbuilding for anything from a TTRPG game to writing stories!

I highly HIGHLY recommend World Anvil for ANY DM or GM or whatever title you are allotted for running a campaign of any kind. World Anvil has not only world creation assistance for D&D editions, but for Warhammer, Runescape, the Witcher, you name it. Want to make an NPC with such detail as their neck length, gait, quirks and tiny details even more involved than that? Their thoughts, religion, even diseases? You can upload photos for your characters, maps, items, lore, history, timelines, and so much more. I've used it for my 5e players in D&D and it honestly saved my shoulders and sanity from the disappointment and frustration of not being able to find anything remotely close to what World Anvil offers. They do have paid subscriptions you CAN subscribe to, but you can also just use the free account and have a ton of access to the world creator. The paid subscription is nice but it's honestly not at all necessary, and they even preface with that. They have a huge community to talk to and help you if you're stuck, YouTube videos explaining how to use their site and aspects of it, and their service is something is wrong or you have a question is really quick and honest. I've never felt like I'm just a person using their system, I genuinely feel like they care about my opinion and enjoyment of their site, even if I'm not paying for it. I genuinely highly recommend at least giving them a shot.

A very complete plataform to organize and develop my worldbuilding.

An incredibly useful software that I use for story writing and tracking TTRPG games- both from the player and GM sides. I love the seamless ability to link between different articles and the wide range of customizability in articles and their templates!
They also have a very prompt support team when issues do crop up which is always a plus.

I follow Ginny Di on YouTube, she is always talking about World Anvil, so I thought I would give it a try. I is get for building a large homebrew campaign. First I was so excited to sign up after trying the trial I missed adding my discount code. One email and the issue was fixed, great support. I have my campaign almost complete in just three days.

Holy cow! WHAT do I say about the enormous set of world building tools in World Anvil?! It has made me so happy! Totally bizarre, right? But I’ve literally had more fun in my life since joining their Guild, than I’ve had in years. These folks have done such an incredible job, and what couldn’t anyone do with these templates and software—not to mention the endless help and support?! I became an immediate lifer the first second I heard about this. Wonderful, inspiring, empowering, exciting and fun…! What a great find! So grateful for World Anvil!

I love the world building and organizing tool. I finally have all my scattered notes written in articles and structured. No longer need to search hours for what I need. Love all the different features and freedom. It sure is a lot in the beginning, but their YouTube channel and discord are great helpers.

Everything is great, it's a fantastic site. I'm a rpg game developer, and I had to create the game's lore in a bunch of separate and hard-to-read files, but now everything has become easier, greatly increasing my productivity.
