I’d go 4.5 if possible My family and I traveled to the duoro. The trip was very well done and exceptionally beautiful We stopped at the Croft port house and tried the white, ruby, and 7 yr ports. I was a little disappointed that other groups were trying the 10 and 20 year tawnies but at our second stop, a little Boutique winery/ port house, we ate lunch where we did get to try the 10, 20, and a 30 year port. The river cruise also gave the other tours a port sample but not our group. My biggest disappointment is this is the same viator/ trip advisor tour. I thought that booking through a wine company that specializes in wine travel it might take use a little more off the beaten path. The website did say it was booked through a third party I just would have maybe spent a little more time trying to find a more personalized/ less crowded tour. ( this company had multiple busses going to the same place and visiting many of the same stops just staggered times.)But that being said the tour was very well done and enjoyable.

A fantastic tour for 4 of us in the Douro Valley. We did the Mateus Palace visit, the Rabelo boat ride, and two wineries. We added a 2nd winery visit at the end. The entire day was fantastic. The scenery during the drive and stops was incredible. The Mateus Palace was a nice visit. Surprised by all the collectibles inside. Picturesque shots everywhere and visiting the outdoor gardens with all the fruits and vineyards was perfect. Ate cherries right off the trees!
The first winery was a delight. Quinta do Portal. The best part was having lunch there. A four course lunch with wine pairings that were out of this world. It was one of the best restaurants we visited in all of Portugal and that's saying a lot with us hitting some of the highest rated ones. Winerist did a great job in helping us select the two wineries we visited. I wanted to avoid any touristy or common ones to avoid any crowds. We wanted to keep it special. After doing a quick Rabelo boat ride, which was a nice view on the river, we went to Quinta do Napoles for the Niepoort wines. We did the premium selection of wines. I ended getting a 30 year port and shipped wine home. Our driver, Diogo was outstanding. He slowly warmed into conversations, but allowed us to get comfortable seeing the beautiful scenery. By the end of the tour we were laughing like good friends. We welcomed him to dine with us for lunch. I had high expectations for the tour, and Winerist lived up to them.

Our guide, Chloe was amazing. Unfortunately the two male guides who met us at the meeting point were rude and one (seemed to be in charge) kept ignoring me when I tried to introduce myself and my friend so that we could find out which group we were in.

Trip to Douro Valley. The driver was super. Trip was very informative. Great group of people and small enough to keep it personal. Lunch was amazing. Fabulous viewpoints. All around terrific tour. Only I wanted to be able to purchase some port wine. There never seemed to be an offering for that. I would take this tour again.

We had so much fun on this tour! It was a lovely tour and a wonderful experience…the perfect balance of learning, champagne tasting, and fun. Highly recommend to get a glimpse of the Champagne Region and the complex and interesting champagne making process!

We got sick before the tour and we’re unable to attend. We notified the company that morning before the tour, but they were unable to accommodate us on another tour another day.

It was a great day and well worth it. Our driver was excellent, friendly, knowledgable, and a great host.
We really enjoyed both wine tasting experiences, very different from each other. The lunch was a real treat, excellent food, location, and wine!

The day tour with hiking in the Maipo Valley was varied and really amazing.
I was accompanied by 2 guides who were friedly, with very good knowledge of the region and the wines. It was a real pleasure to chat with them.
I began with a delicious breakfast with homemade bread. The hike gave a beautiful view on the valley. Lunch was a typical chilean experience with an asado near the river. And I finished by visiting the Odfjell vineyard where I tasted and bought some excellent chilean wines.

Service provided by Winerist was exceptional, our driver was very helpful and informative. The experience at the winery felt slightly rushed, however overall, we would highly recommend Winerist as an intermediary organiser. Many thanks for a brilliant experience!

We had a lovely day with our tour guide, Pascale she was very informative and great fun to be with. The wine tour to a Chateau in Pomerol was very interesting and very informative, it was great to meet the owner. Our tasting at the Chateau in St Emilion had beautiful surroundings and very relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed tasting the wines but would have liked a little more information about the wines on offer, but overall a great day!

Great experience throughout. Everything professional. Good guides, enjoyable wine, with excellent food pairs.

Very knowledgable guide who was also good fun. Undurraga tour great, as was Santa Clara Lunch. Last stop at Concha y Torro a bit - after full morning tour and lunch could probably miss it out. However, overall day was brilliant.

Our French guide Sebastien was outstanding. What he didn't know about Champagne in the Champagne region wasn't worth knowing.
Friendly, warm and knowledgable, my friend and I were absolutely engaged in all the activities of the day. We absolutly loved our FULL DAY TOUR REIMS. Excellent value. A highlight of our trip to France.

Diana created a truly fantastic trip for our party of 4 in Umbria. Her suggested wineries and hotels were stellar! This company is knowledgeable about the area, offers great tours, with drivers and reasonably priced. They are super responsive and helpful. Don't hesitate to use them to plan a trip to Umbria!

The Douro Valley wine tour was so beautiful and the lunch was very good. Our tour guide was fun and professional. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Extremely detailed history/curated tour with a plethora of free time to explore Montserrat. The guides were charismatic, enthusiastic, and cordial even to guests not participating in every conversation. No inconveniences and overall a very well-run tour.

Winerist’s communication and the information provided after I booked was minimal and insufficient. For example, they did not provide information about the meeting point.

The actual tour provider, Spanish Trails, not only conducted a fantastic tour, and Craig is a font of information, Spanish Trails communicated information in a timely fashion and with great clarity.

A fantastic range of experiences during the trip. From small producers to well know wine merchants.

Ronko, the tour manager, was great - knew a lot about the area, the wines and anything you asked him. The Futura was immaculate and wonderfully run by an excellent and friendly, helpful crew. The food was wonderful. We enjoyed all the tastings and tours on all the islands. Our only complaint is that we spent too much daylight time sailing from island to island. The sailing should have been done at night so that we could have spent most of the days on land.

Booked an 8 person wine tour/river cruise from Porto to the Duoro Valley. Was surprised to see that instead of 8 people in a Mercedes van (as advertised) we were actually a group of about 25 in a small bus. It was disappointing to have a bait and switch pulled like that at the last minute. However, the tour guide Jessica was wonderful, the ride was scenic, the wineries were nice and lunch was great. I would definitely recommend this tour I just wish the company would be honest about the group size and transportation as I specifically did not book with other companies who were offering tours of this size.
