William Russell provided gracious and valuable support during my son’s medical emergency in Thailand. Their team - especially Barbora - was exceptionally responsive, professional, and caring throughout the entire process.
Her clear communication and assistance were very much appreciated during this stressful time. The company’s efficient coordination allowed us to focus primarily on our son’s recovery.

I had an accident and needed surgery within a specific time frame. The helpline of Willam Russel was professional and responsive. My claims contact person Cosmina was very helpful and compassionate and went the extra mile to sort out the financial part of my admission to hospital.

Consistent support across the services renge
I have had cause to benefit from very good to excellent client support & service for both guaranteed in-patient and out-patient care and reimbursements.
Reimbursement claims have been dealt with extremely efficiently and very promptly. Responses to queries have been relevant and fair.

I have recently required an emergency knee surgery in South Africa. William Russell were easily contactable, very quick to respond, clear with what documentation was required and very efficient to guarantee and make payment to the various entities, allowing my surgery to go ahead without delay. Overall, an extremely positive experience.

Prompt, helpful and straightforward
I have always found the service from William Russell to be efficient, willing and straightforward in dealing with claims with clear explanations and Julie Newman exemplified this in my recent claim. William Russell got top competent staff
I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Cosmina from William Russell during my admission to hospital October 2025.
With an incompetent and difficult hospital, she was strict and showed competence to solve all matters. When i eventually found the right hospital and doctor to give me the right treatment, simply a competent hospital, i didn't hear anything from her or William Russell because all was smooth and setup properly.
Very professional insurance company and very professional claim management.
I can for sure recommend William Russell as your international health insurance for any expact.

Easy claim filing process and quick response time.
This was my first time filing a claim using the WR online platform and it was so quick and easy. The upload the document function is genius because i wasnt sure of some details, but allowing me to upload a copy of my receipt makes sense!

William Russell price jump of 36% for no reason.
I have had William Russell insurance for 3 years. This year my renewal was just received and it jumped almost 36% in cost over last year. I have never had claim nor have I had a change in my health. I would expect an increase each year due to age, but 36%! There are other options for insurance. I won't be renewing with nor would I recommend them after this.

While we understand high increases aren’t favourable, our plans are community rated - meaning premiums are based on a range of factors such as age, area, region/country, claims experience, benefit utilisation and overall medical cost trends. Unfortunately, we’ve been experiencing higher claims costs in Mexico so have had no choice but to take corrective action on premiums for new and renewing policies alike. We do review policies individually to provide assistance where we can and again, we do appreciate you taking the time to let us know of your experience with us.
