Great product, but disappointing sustainability
I own a Litter-Robot 4 and received a ramp from a friend who no longer used theirs. Unfortunately, it was missing the hinges – which are essential for attaching it. I contacted Whisker, and I must say: the staff was truly kind and helpful. They really tried to assist me, and I appreciate their efforts.
However, I couldn’t buy just the hinges in a regular way because I didn’t have the original code from the ramp – and neither does the brand new ramp I just bought. Without that code, the only option was to buy the hinges separately, which would have cost me €74 with shipping and taxes to Europe.
In the end, I bought a whole new ramp for €75, because my cat really needs it. This new ramp did come with both hinges included. But I find it very disappointing that I now have to throw away a fully usable ramp just because I can’t get a small replacement part at a fair price.
For a high-end product like the Litter-Robot 4, I would expect sustainability to be a bigger priority. Please make spare parts more accessible – it’s better for the environment and for your loyal customers.
