Just a vile company
Just a vile company. 10 months after a no fault car accident and still no repairs undertaken. They and linked somehow to Zennith and enterprise who are just as vile and have no intention of repairing your car. Avoid at all costs
Utter thieves and fraudsters
Disgusted at having to give one star. Useless insurance company with useless staff. You will have to fight them as much as the third party in the event of a claim. They’ve driven people to near suicide with their incompetence.. absolute fraudsters taking money for policies they have no intention of fulfilling. I’ve been waiting since May 2020 for my car loss to be recovered. They’ve known since Feb the money was waiting to be asked for and have done NOTHING, but leave me to do it all.. scum scamming thieves.

This company traded as markerstudy zenith and now westbay in the event of a claim it is very unlikely you'll be payed out . Am 7 month in on a claim that wasnt my fault and now they wont even answer my calls they just cut me off . Just read.the reviews for markerstudy there a discusting company

My car insurance was up for renewal
My car insurance was up for renewal, I got it through coop insurance but they are just the broker, west bay is the lender. They have doubled my car insurance from last year, I have had no crashes, and will have added an extra years of no claims.
I asked coop why they have put it up, they just said, ‘they have have done it to everyone this year, they are just money grabbers’
They do not care about there customers one but, just bothered about making profits by charging extortionate prices
Don't bother
Don't bother. My husband was added to my car insurance quote as an additional driver however as his own previous car was in an accident, no fault of his own as the other car crashed into him, apparently they couldn't provide me with my car insurance because of this. Ended up getting better cover on line 2 mins later anyway so they did me a favour in the end.
DO NOT insure your vehicle with this company!
Markerstudy "insurance" plc Gibralter" changed their name to West Bay "insurance" in January 2022 due to more than 100 one star reviews on Trust Pilot - verified by the UK Financial Ombudsman
West Bay have adopted a bad business practice in not answering calls to its call centre - cutting calls after 120 minutes - even whilst speaking to staff who will not call you back. West Bay use three separate entities including Sedgwick to take initial phone calls. Then an obscure "Portal" to take your claim details. At no point will they acknowledge their emails. However they hand out £200 cheques with a long "apologies" for not processing your claim - and then they still do not process their claim. The UK Financial Ombudsman accepts these payments as "Good Faith" practice !!!!! when it obscures that they delay payout forever, mine took 370 days - they just demand collection of your vehicle by Copart (20 phone calls - to which I answered "No - they have not sttled the claim - please stop calling me!" - the third part of this process to deny the customer who bought the policy any satisfaction
