Went with what might be a tick bite, They said yes it was and said head is still there but they will leave it in, on my diagnosis just put rash and other skin eruptions plus cellulitis....never even mentioning tick bite so which was it, left me hanging......don't go there......
FRAUDULENT!!!!! Do NOT use them. They charged me for the virtual visit, then I got a bill for an outpatient office visit. I call. They say they have no record of my first payment. I’m given a email address to send the receipt in my account showing I paid, which I already reached out to with a screenshot. Then they submit the outpatient visit to insurance. I emailed again. Got another bill for the copay for the “outpatient visit”. I call again, they tell me some lines from a script. They say they have no record of the payment. The person pulls it up on the phone. I say, I get a refund now, right? He says if there was an overpayment… there absolutely was. It was a joke. It’s FRAUDULENT! Do not use EVER!
Just today, I found out that this outfit sent all my medical information from a 2025 visit to their Physicians Immediate Care location at Countryside, Illinois to a third party! I had never heard of them but apparently they act like a credit reporting agency for medical care. I would have NEVER knowingly authorized this. I should have read more carefully what I was signing. That information was used to DENY health insurance coverage, even though what I had was the flu.
Further, I did not see a real doctor there. They did nothing for me there and simply told me to go to the Emergency Room. A total fiasco.
While the idea of an urgent care is good, and the actual doctors at their Grand Island, NY facility are competent and respectful, I have nothing else good to say about my experiences here. I have been here three times and feel sick at the idea of having to return if something urgent comes up.
The woman at the front desk speaks like an AI, and is unyielding in her rote and unhelpful answers to questions like "Why is the wrong insurance company appearing after you scan my card? Can we fix this?" Her persistent and dismissive "you'll have to call billing" answer to everything was infuriating. But even more infuriating was her one different response that I must pay an outrageous amount (almost $400) just to be seen, because *surprise* insurance didn't cover my last visit when the WRONG INSURANCE COMPANY was billed.
Shocker, the wrong insurance company didn't pay, so I had to cover the huge amount, with the assurance I'd get reimbursed when the claim finally went through.
Is anyone surprised that WellNow did not reimburse me?
Trying to get anything sorted out through this company is a joke. I did talk to billing, first to get my correct insurance info nailed down and claims reprocessed, and then again six weeks later to find out where my reimbursement is.
IT IS WELLNOW'S POLICY NOT TO REIMBURSE AFTER INSURANCE PAYS THEM. Apparently "it's a convenience for you to use this as a credit on your next visit". What? The client must make a formal phone request for reimbursement, then sometime (when? not yet) they will contact you to tell you if they will approve your reimbursement and arrange transmittal.
Super sketchy, not respectful to the patient at all. And before some bot tells me to contact wecare at wellnow dot com, I already have. That also accomplishes nothing, so nice try.
