Great Website Builder & Customer Support

We have been with Webstarts for 7+ years and have 60 websites with them. It is a good website builder that is very simple to use. Customer support has always been top notch - Steve is very attentive to our needs. Through the years we have seen Webstarts grow and add more features to their easy website builder, which makes it even easier for us to build websites. You should definitely give them a try... We have been more than pleased with Webstarts!

Easy to build AMAZING websites!

Webstarts has been great to work with from day one. The design platform is easy to use and includes a lot of tools and widgets to help make your websites functional and look really professional.

Their format is way better than wordpress because everyone can point out a wordpress website. Webstarts gives you the choice of trendy templates that you can change or add any element to, or you can start with a blank canvas.

Pros: Easy to use, great customer service, fair pricing, reliable, regular upgrades.
Cons: Not 100% responsive, mobile editor can be tricky sometimes.

Would I recommend? Absolutely! I researched every DYI website company for months and hands down Webstarts has the best overall platform.

Bad service, maliciously doing wrong against me

My sites are being messed up, and I keep reporting it and trying to get the problem fixed with there Webstarts builder and no one is doing anything, it's a been happening for a long time..then they,'re always threatening to close my account for complaining about the problem, I keep reporting the issues and they refuse to fix it, when the elements that are suppose to be selectable are not, the text boxs are not functioning correctly, things aren't staying where I saved it or change on there own, I set the parameters for a text, color, size, don't, when I go to edit the words , it all changes to small and completely different things, then I have to redo, if I write a paragraph, and click at any part of it, Ex: the bottom of the paragraph, it moves to the top, it keeps moving to the top every time, so there's no way to edit sections of it, if its a lot of Context, it keeps zooming in an out on its own, and then selects on things, moving them around, it's fuzing the text box , the images and moving them to different places on the page and then makes it not selectable, like it's all the background, there's no way to even fix, because it won't let me select anything, it's the same with text box shadows, I try to change it and it wont, no matter how many times I click on it select to remove or change a color it remains the same and I know it's being maliciously done, they have a server, that has compression, I only had a few pictures, yet it was slow, asked if it can be turned they said no, they Don t know about that, but last year for a different website I have with them, I had the same problem, I had to call multiple times to get different people because the same person keeps telling me nothings wrong that's just how it is, but when I called again the other person said their going to check, when they did it was off, and it was supposed to be on, so it is available but they have the same person doing wrong against me and messing my website, costing a lot of money, and no one has done anything, the only emails they answer are the ones pointing out that no company should do these thing's let these things happen, they dont want to be called scum, after many request to fix my issues that they are causing and refusing to fix, they saying it's not happening here, but one minute the websites renders to fix the screen, and the next its not, Now I have to scroll to the right, but I didn't change anything to affect the lines, where the end of screen stops or screen width, is being manipulated by someone from Webstarts and I know it the same person they have always answering my calls, they use let us manipulate the screen width, but not now, but they have the ability to manipulate it, so i know it's maliciously being done, I know they could never pass a real lie dector test, because they all guilty, they don't want to solve the problems, they want me to lose the many years working on my sites and my money by wanting to cancel and to give a refund, it's going to be millions, thats the amount of time I spent on these sites ... I don't want to deal with the same person In the time, that gives moving for people that are not doing whats right to get away with a lot of wrong, and it makes no sense, Now they refuse to fix the problems, but its been years and I'm not going to let this go their guilty, i paid my money and don't deserve to be caused harm too...even if it means getting lawyer...it 's that bad... I talk with the owner, he acts like he's trying to assist, but its the same problems every day, they lied to over bill me, then they are now refusing to provide copies of my website that I have paid in full, the owner contacted me because he wants me to remove the review, but only acts lie he is helping, because these problems should not continue everyday, I tried to work with him, but its the same thing, I decided to back up my site and give myself options, they are now refusing to let me download my website, from the start the targeted me and has been maliciously committing a lot of wrongs against me. Because the agent they put in charge of my account wanted to tell how to make my site and I didn't want to, all these things started happening and the owner is also doing these things, but acts like he's not, I wish I could prove guilt, even more wish they would all suffer the consequences worst than said to take place in HELL, their definitely guilty.

Great Support, Easy to Use

I had an issue on my website where my menu bar suddenly disappeared - or so I thought..... turns out I just accidentally moved it to the very top of the page and couldn't find it. I called support and they helped me find it - as well as gave me tips on how I can make my page look more professional. As a business owner, I'd love to have a staff like the team over at Webstarts. Keep it up, guys!

Excellent Service

I needed to change ownership registration for a domain. I talked with Tim twice and he was excellent. He took his time and resolved my problem. I was pleased to be able to talk to a living, breathing AND intelligent person. Well done Webstarts and thank-you Tim.

Far exceeded my expectations.

My previous experiences with graphics left me frustated and feeling that I had wasted my time.
With WebStarts I was surprised with the results and the ease that took me to do it. I found myself improving my modest project to a near professional result that was actually fun to do. It was a great learn as you go experience.

I couldn't believe it was so easy

My wife had been bothering me for awhile to build my own web site since I am a writer as well as a voice and film actor. So I sat down on Sunday afternoon and played around for a few hours. The day I was ready for my domain name and built the site in 2 hours with no prior experience in web building. To be honest I was terrified at first but it turned out to be so easy to put together and change and update anytime I want.

Very good customer service.

I have designed a number of Webstarts websites in my name as well as others for clients. The company has easy-to-use templates and many tutorials. Aaron Dycus, in particular, has always given me outstanding, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. I highly recommend him and his company Webstarts for website design, whether for personal or business needs.

Exactly What I Needed

I am an author and a career coach. I have a website for each, one for my book (Out of Uniform: Your Guide to a Successful Military to Civilian Career Transition & Tom Wolfe, Career Coach). Prior to moving my hosting to WebStarts I had constant issues with the two companies that were hosting my sites. I am not tech-savy, so I need help. I also need to simply make a request, get a response, and know that all is well. That is EXACTLY what Steve and his team at WebStarts did (and do) for me. They redesigned my sites, freshened them up, saved me money, made them more user-friendly--all-in-all, a big improvement. I have requested a few changes since the initial launch and they responded immediately and gave me exactly what I asked for. I give them an A+ for value, professionalism, response time, and customer support.

Been using WebStarts for several years!

Been using them for several years. I had never designed a website before and it was super easy. Although I'm not a web designer, I was able to create something that suited my needs and I can change it whenever I want.

Any issues I've ever had, have been resolved very quickly and to my satisfaction.

I would recommend WebStarts to everyone.

Don't hesitate here! Webstarts is great

Having used several other website builders, i can absolutely see the difference webstarts offers and where they are getting it right.
They make super easy to use features and tons of very clean looking templates.

Aside of that, they've realized how important customer service is. Now-a-days, its not enough just to have a good product or low price. Theres always tons of others out there selling the same product or something similar. However, not everybody is going to have the customer service component packed down. This in my opinion is where webstarts has earned my business. Everybody I've spoke with there has been very knowledgeable but more than that, they've show the upmost concern to whatever my request or question was. These are the companies that win. The companies who are always earning your business, even after you've been with them for years.

You won't be disappointed.

After 5 Years - Still The Best Choice For My Business

I love WebStarts! I designed my business website on WebStarts about 5 years ago and have absolutely no regrets...not one! I have seen some of my business friends struggle with other platforms and then choose to pay thousands because they could not figure it out. WebStarts is simple to use and creates professional looking websites depending on your time, effort and creative ability. For me, I enjoy knowing my site is my site, I can change things, add to or take away at anytime I want without having to contact a web designer and pay them a bundle for a few tweaks here and there. The customer service department is awesome and I love all of the video tutorials. My site ranks well and WebStarts is extremely affordable; they also streamline the process from beginning to end. I highly recommend WedStarts and the only thing I would like to see added is maybe a weekly blog on SEO tips.

Excellent customer service and friendly support staff

I have always been served well with WebStarts. Today I needed to get some help with a billing issue and some tech support and right away my call was answered by a very friendly support tech named Tim Barger. He was dynamic and very happy to help. He also answered some other questions about my website maintenance that I had. I am very satisfied with the help I received today.

I am writing this review because very often when searching for a service such as a hosting provider, we search for and read reviews, but only end up on the negative ones. Often, happy clients don't write reviews because we are too busy being happy. That being said, I decided to put in a good word for an excellent company that has always offered excellent products and service for its customers.

If you are looking for a web hosting and site building provider, you will be happy with WebStarts. I certainly am.

Outstanding company

I have been on and had more than 13 years experience with other web site builders such as Go Daddy and Enom and this one outdoes them all!
Easy to work, always there to help by email and phone. Top notch all around

Frighteningly terrible customer service

I have had Webstarts for a few years now and never quite developed my site until recently, when my business needs changed. I adopted one of Webstarts' templates and spent 2 days adding my content until I ran into a glitch and lost all my input. Granted, I am NOT an expert in web design nor do I plan on becoming one. I was so frustrated with Webstarts that I sent an email asking to terminate my relationship with them. For me and my skill level, the site was not friendly and I needed something quick. Spoke with Customer Support. I've always felt the service was rude, demeaning and unprofessional but I've endured it because eventually the problem was fixed to my relief. I cringed when I had to contact customer support. Several times the representative replicated my Microsoft Office Email onto his own computer to 'test' things and then promised to delete it later. I wanted to trust, but it just felt creepy. I felt like a hostage calling customer support at Webstarts. Nearly every call for assistance, I was told, "You just don't know what you're doing." What business says that to a customer? And, "Haven't I helped you out in the past?" Once I advised I was discontinuing my account with Webstarts, the conversation changed to a very personal and vindictive direction. "Stop talking and let me help you." As soon as I hung up on the support representative, my e-mail was terminated. Poof, crippled. Just like that. No directions as to how to disconnect gracefully. Nothing. I have now been held hostage for a week without a website or my business e-mail. Instead, using another mail account, I received emails from another person at Webstarts, who had NO idea what transpired assuring me of a "miscommunication" and wanting to invoice me to bring my email back up again, and since it was the weekend, couldn't be expected to "get back to me in a timely manner." Again, I was made to feel as if Webstarts had done me a favor all along. I have incurred damaged and lost business as a result of the representatives spiteful actions. I am dead in the water over this company's cruel, unnecessary and vindictive actions. So, be warned people, this has been anything BUT a respectful, professional, helpful and fulfilling business relationship. I feel as if I've been professionally punched. On a further note (I've had to revise this posting several times to protect the guilty), the owner of Webstarts DID contact me on Sunday night and I felt he was sincere in trying to repair the damage. I felt there was way too much time spent trying to find out who said or did what and not enough time acknowledging the unnecessary harm to a long-standing customer.

The customer requested to cancel her services. The representative immediately cancelled services and refunded all fees. The customer later realized one of the services she cancelled was her email. She then requested reinstatement of the email service for which she'd been refunded. We immediately reinstated the email despite the fact they'd been refunded.

When the customer emailed me (CEO) personally, I pulled over on the side of the road on a Sunday afternoon and immediately phoned her at home. I apologized for the inconvenience, assured her we'd help. Even though she'd made some bizarre accusatory remarks about our representatives. Her services were immediately restored.

A great business tool for novice or pro. Limited only by your imagination

Have been a professional web designer for years. During that time I have hosted no frill sites to robust professional designer-intensive sites. Once
hosting companies started to offer embedded online web page design, I
immediately searched for the simplest, most intuitive, reasonable-priced site for my clients. Now-a-days, more and more companies are looking for an online presence that they can integrate easily with Face-book, mobile devices, and digital newsletters. I found Webstarts to be the best so far. They are reasonably priced and their customer support group is very attentive. Now I can design initial sites for my clients and easily train
their dept. staff to update information. Understand that if you're looking to use professional design software like Dreamweaver you don't need it here - only a personal photo manipulation software is all you need. So if you are looking for high-end, slick looking inter-active sites with many bells and whistles - you won't find it here. But if you're looking to build an inexpensive, high-quality, web presence limited only by your creative imagination, use Webstarts.

Good Site for quickly getting some simple things - They are Spam heavy though.

I have used them a few times as a way to share pictures with people of certain event. It's wysiwyg interface should be pretty easy for someone with basic social media skills to adapt to. I can't say how well they are at services beyond that though. The emails from them were coming so often and always with subject lines that imply there is something urgent about the page and its mainly another email trying to get you to upgrade. I don't understand how a company feels this is a smart way to get someone to upgrade. I was obviously using the my free space and they were seeing traffic going there. Its far better to give your customer some space and maybe share other ways I might benefit more. Being a nag only is going to force a customer to create a filter that sends all emails from them to the junk folder. One day maybe companies will learn that once upon a time customer service was not just another way to possibly make a sale.
