I have sold a few pieces on watch collecting. It's really convenient and safe. I never once felt like i was in danger of being ripped off, even when selling hundreds of thousands worth of watches. It's also a great place to buy as you can gauge the true market value of a piece rather than relying on the marked-up value (like on Chrono 24). Fleur and the team provide an excellent, friendly, transparent service.

I never received the watch I bought and I lost 19’000. - GBP
I bought a Rolex Daytona on watchcollecting.
Lot:#80517 for the sum of 18,000 GBP six months ago and to this day I still have not received the watch. No one knows where the watch is, lost package? Stolen watch? Scam?
Despite the excellent contact I had with the watchcollecting customer service, their response is that they are unable to conduct the investigations to find the watch.
My observation is simple, I lost 19,000 GBP in this matter.

Thank you for your review and the kind words regarding our customer service team. We are incredibly sorry that your watch remains missing and completely understand your deep frustration over this situation.
To clarify, while we offer managed shipping, you opted to arrange the courier independently. We securely packed the watch and your courier successfully scanned it upon collection from us. Unfortunately, tracking indicates that FedEx subsequently misplaced the package.
As this was arranged by yourself directly with FedEx, they will only discuss the investigation with you as the account holder. Despite our repeated attempts to intervene and trace the item on your behalf, FedEx has restricted our access to the case.
We sincerely hope FedEx resolves your claim quickly, and we remain fully available to provide any documentation or proof of collection you need to support your case with them.

Watch arrived completely broken and watch collecting have avoided and refused any accountability. They also admit they provide no checks on authenticity and even if the watch is working. Have been a nightmare to deal with. Not sure why you’d risk buying from them.

As stated in our terms and on all listings, any watch presented without an in-date service warranty or receipt is expected to require a service. Your purchase was a 1960s watch-only item, meaning a routine service was always to be expected.
You also claim the watch arrived broken and that we have refused accountability. However, we have been in continuous communication with you and have provided clear video evidence showing the watch functioning properly at the exact moment it was securely packed for dispatch.
Since you opted for shipping, transit insurance was applied to protect against damage en route. We guided you through opening a damage claim with our shipping partner, which you successfully initiated and as of the time of this review, is currently being processed.

The auction itself was fine
The auction itself was fine, very clear and once it had finished I did get a bit worried that it would be a hassle. The seller email didn’t work and after a little panic I spoke to the guys at Watch collecting and they put me at ease and the rest was seamless. We also had a great chat about the whole process that has made it very likely I will buy more watches.
