ECO4 Grant Installation

WarmaUK come highly recommended from me! hard to believe what we've had installed worth 10's of thousands of pounds with no expense to ourselves all thanks to Warma and the government backed Eco4 grant! after receiving different letters from different companies with information regarding the Eco4 grant I decided to have a look online and came across WarmaUK and I'm so glad I did. The whole process from start to finish was easy quick and professional. we live in an 1920's semi that had no heating or any insulation - from the first phone call to enquire it was made very clear how the process works and what we'd be entitled too. We had an initial property survey and then within a couple weeks a technical survey explaining the heat loss of our house and what measures were going to be installed to combat this. We had loft insulation and cavity wall insulation aswell as thermal insulation boards on our flat roof. we then had an air source heat pump fitted along with 10 radiators for heating and solar panels to help reduce our electricity bills.

All the tradesmen were very friendly professional and left my house tidy. I'm a strong believer in "look after them and they'll look after you", which was definitely the case with the guys doing the installation.

They explained what they were doing as they were doing it and also gave a detailed hand over to make sure we were comfortable in our understanding of using our new heating system.

Our house is now constantly nice and warm after a cold winter with no heating, and we're already seeing the benefits from the solar panels reducing our daily electric costs.

Customer service and after care has also been very good and always just a call or an email away.

Overall very pleased and happy with the install and with WarmaUK and encourage others interested in having these measures done to go through them.

Appalling Service and Lack of Responsibility – A Nightmare Experience with Warma UK
I am disappointed by the service and lack of communication provided by Warma UK, despite sending emails and making phone calls regarding the issues I am facing with the new combi boiler installed a few weeks ago (10.03.25 at IG1) on EC04 Grant. I am a vulnerable pensioner with a chronic respiratory illness, and find this situation very stressful. My main concerns are:
1. Initially, I requested to replace my like-for-like conventional boiler with a hot water cylinder. However, I was informed that this did not qualify for the grant, so I opted for the combi boiler instead. Now, I am experiencing serious issues with pressure and leaks in the existing pipework due to the change in system. There is no proper paper document, like a contract/specification detailing the works they were going to undertake. Additionally, they failed to inform me of the risks associated with installing a combi boiler in an existing system, such as leaks and banging noises in the pipework in the loft when using appliances like the washing machine on the ground floor due to water pressure. This issue did not occur with our previous conventional central heating system. I now have a serious leak in the concrete floor in the utility room and have had to contact a leak detection company, who have quoted me over £600 plus VAT per day for the necessary repairs. The extent of the work involves tracing the leak, removing cupboards to access the pipes behind them, breaking up the floor, making necessary repairs, replacing the floor finish and addressing the leak in the utility room due to high pressure. I am also deeply concerned about what other leaks could develop over time due to this issue.
2. There has been poor communication and no response to my emails attached with my report on the new boiler.
3. They have not provided me with the warranty for the boiler as the manufacturer needs to be called in to address issues like kettling noise and other complaints I have raised.
4. The loft insulation subcontractor arrived without any dust sheets, contrary to what was agreed in writing, and was not prepared to remove the old insulation as previously agreed.
Lastly, Warma UK has a duty of care for vulnerable individuals like me, despite receiving substantial government funding for each project. Overall, I am very disappointed with the service. In my opinion, they should contribute towards the cost of repairing the leaking pipe and making good, as they failed to inform me that fitting a new combi boiler to existing pipework could lead to leaks in the existing copper pipes. They also neglected to send an engineer prior to installation to assess whether the existing pipes could handle the new pressure, instead relying on a photo survey by an independent company.
Given the significant distress and financial burden this has caused me, I expect Warma UK to take responsibility for their lack of due diligence and poor service. I urge them to respond promptly, rectify these issues, and provide a fair resolution, including contributing towards the cost of repairs. If no action is taken, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further through the relevant regulatory bodies and consumer protection channels. I sincerely hope Warma UK will uphold its duty of care and ensure that no other vulnerable customers are left in a similar situation.

To clarify a few points, the combi boiler was installed under the ECO4 scheme after the original system you requested was found to be ineligible. The system installed was agreed, and as with any upgrade of this nature, there is a possibility that older pipework may be affected by increased pressure. This is covered in the documentation provided prior to installation.

Since the install, our team has remained in regular contact and taken a number of steps to support you, including a free thermostat upgrade and arranging a manufacturer callout to assess the boiler. We understand you still have concerns, and we’re happy to follow up with the manufacturer directly if any new issues have developed.

Regarding the insulation, our notes show the initial visit was rebooked with the correct materials, and no removal of insulation was planned or permitted under ECO4 rules. We’re happy to confirm this in writing.

We understand you’ve found the process stressful and we're genuinely sorry it hasn’t felt straightforward. From our side, we've done everything we can to address the concerns raised and will continue to help where possible.

Great Service

Recently moved house and applied for a grant to help with insulation as it was virtually none existent...applied through Warma UK and from start to finish everything was quick and easy with good communication all the way...they managed to secure a grant for cavity wall insulation which was completed soon after the survey...I would recommend speaking to them if you need to upgrade your insulation.

Complaint Regarding Poor Quality Central Heating Installation and Loft Insulation by Warmauk

I am writing this review to warn people about the central heating and loft insulation installation carried out by Warmauk at my property under the 2025 Government-Backed ECO Scheme. The work was completed on 19/07/24, but the quality of the installation is substandard, and numerous issues have arisen.
The specific problems are as follows:

1. Poor Workmanship: The installer 1 lad, rushed the work, completing the full installation, including a new boiler and five new radiators, in just one and a half days. The result was damaging to my property, with walls and floorboards being damaged in the process. One radiator is loose on the wall, another is not straight, leaks, and has rusted at the end. No one came to check the installation once it was completed.

2. Malfunctioning Radiators: I have experienced problems with radiators turning off and not staying on. This has created considerable discomfort in the home.

3. Mould Issues: Due to improper loft insulation installation, I have experienced mould on the bedroom ceilings.

4. Inadequate Service Response: After raising my concerns, I had a gas engineer come out who removed the batteries from the Thermostatic Radiator Valves and claimed this would solve the issue. The radiator in the small bedroom was found to be loose due to the use of a plastic pipe instead of copper. I was informed this would be fine, but the issue persists.

5. Wet Wood Floor: The outlet pipe from the boiler to the grate outside seems to be causing moisture to leak onto my wood floor, creating a wet and potentially damaging situation. This is a major concern that requires immediate attention.
Despite my attempts to resolve the matter, the problems remain unresolved. I am dissatisfied with both the quality of work and the subsequent lack of proper service response. Given that this installation was carried out under a government-backed scheme, I believe my legal rights as a consumer have not been respected. Letter sent to trading standards and the ombudsman. I will update in due course !

Dispiriting

Communication was fairly good with this company until I actually signed the contract, after which they simply never wrote back to me. About three employees plus the general inquiries address stopped answering my emails. That was almost 4 months ago. The only update I have been able to get was a quick "sorry, we can't find anyone yet" after several days of me pestering the online chat.

I have disabilities that make phone communication almost impossible for me. I informed Warma of this several times and they kept telling me they would put a note on my file, and that never seemed to happen. I asked for any contractors to be informed of this accommodation also. The first person to contact me in 2 months phoned, last week. I was able to convince them to use text, and they asked me what I was having done - Warma hadn't passed on that information to them either. That person said they'd get back to me "at the end of the week" about when they'd come out, and Friday came and went, and I've heard nothing.

Honestly, this experience has been pretty dreadful, and I've been enduring it to this point because I feel so pathetically grateful for the upgrades they offered to cover, but it's beginning to feel like it will never happen. I am worried that if I try another company they're either not going to offer anything, or it's just going to be the same thing all over again.

At times I've felt I must have been blacklisted for being "difficult". But I was born with these disabilities. I am on a low income and in need of help in the first place because of these disabilities.

I know this is a business and not a charity. I am not naive enough to think that my welfare is of any consideration, nor that I am in anywhere near as dire circumstances as other people waiting to benefit from this scheme. But being ignored to this extent has been genuinely surprising, especially given all the positive reviews here.

The team at WarmaUk were really helpful and accommodating despite our difficult letting agent. Communication was good and they explained things thoroughly. We had cavity wall insulation done.
The contractors who did the actual installation were down to earth, friendly and polite. They got on with the job quickly and left things neat and tidy. The follow up call to ensure all was ok and we were happy was appreciated too.

Absolutely no complaints, just gratitude. I can straight away feel a huge temperature difference in our home. Thank you

Brilliant!

Having just had an ASHP central heating system and solar panels installed, plus cavity wall insulation, for the first time in 43 years I have a wonderfully warm home - and hot water! And it's now costing me the same to have all this in running costs as it did to keep one room warm with two electric panel heaters. I keep pinching myself to see if I'm dreaming! The whole process, from start to finish, has worked seamlessly, and if a problem cropped up, it was resolved quickly. Communication with the Warma team has been excellent, and hats off to all the installers, who did a brilliant job.

Where are they????????

I rang about a month ago, got everything scheduled in, had someone do a survey of the house & then I chased it up with them about a week later, agreed measures to be installed. Rang them the day before to confirm date and time, 8:30am comes, no sign. 9am, no sign, 10:30 am no sign so I rang and cancelled.

If I can't trust you to be here when you say you'll be here, how can I trust you to have people drill into my walls and install insulation and install electrical items properly?****

They eventually turned up almost 4 hours late, took one look and tried to get us to spend money on work that does not need to be done. They refused to do the job they were originally supposed to do and left.

Exceptional service

Exceptional service. There was an issue that required the pump of my underfloor heating system to be replaced. The parts were ordered quickly and a new date booked in for fitting. The guy arrived on time, and was very friendly and polite - qualities I value as a customer. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic Insulation Service with Added Ventilation Upgrade!

It was going well until the installers…

It was going well until the installers arrived. Downgraded the agreed panels without pre discussion, they refused to follow the agreed wiring plan, poor electrical work.

They drilled through electrical cables and shorted lighting circuits, then Inverter starting falling off the wall within a week...they left our circuit board in a mess the upstairs and downstairs circuit breaker mixed up, there is cheep plastic conduit running through the room. Unprofessional in the extreme.

They were written to, they ignored the incorrect solar specification complaints and the halved the agreed warranty. They did rectify some of the poor electrical work…but nothing else

They know what they did and are now trying to take down the review.

You were all copied in to the complaints list why don't you know?

Are you now saying you are now going to correct your installers failures, install the correct grade of panels that were singed up for and correct the electrical chaos you have caused? You were all told Jack and Emma.
