Ware and Kaye have been obstructive and unhelpful throughout our dealings with them. A former employee of the firm is named as executor in a will from 1993 and has chosen to renounce executorship so the estate can proceed.
Despite our probate specialist sending the required Deed of Renunciation, Ware and Kaye are refusing to forward the documents to the executor and are also unwilling to act as an intermediary or provide any contact details. The only apparent reason is that we are using a different probate company.
This behaviour has caused unnecessary delay and distress and falls well below what I would expect from a regulated firm of solicitors. I would not recommend Ware and Kaye.

I have used Ware and Kay on several projects. On 3 land projects Johanne was as always efficient with all settled positively for me.
Gemma has dealt with at least 5 commercial property purchases again all sorted as you would expect from a reputable company who are at the top of their game.

Ware & Kay provided some advice on my Will. 30 minute meeting, got charged for the full hour with VAT added. £330 for a 30 minute chat, most of which was small talk. £11 per minute. Disgusting amount of money. Will not be using them again.

Holly and her team were amazing from start to finish.

When writing our review we were so surprised to read previous comments of negativity. We used this company to sell a hotel business and purchase a domestic property and could not be happier with the service they provided. As for costs, due to the work they carried out it would be difficult to compare but to us it was more about doing what needed to be done and keeping us informed and we believe they did that. We would not hesitate to use this company again the next time we require legal assistance. We fully recommend!

I am actually disgusted with how this company communicates.
The conveyancing team certainly need to understand that being aggressive toward a vendor is not the way forward. Their aggressive communication manner is not one that the Legal Ombudsman
condones.
The head of department needs to be in a 'different department' because the arrogant and aggressive nature we have experienced is not how a conveyancing solicitor should conduct themselves, nor is this leading by example.
I would steer clear. I do not recommend this firm.

Excellent and professional help with employment dispute. Great communication throughout from Kalpesh and Emily. Would highly recommend to anyone needing employment law support.

I/we had to use this company to obtain a Power of Attorney. We made what I thought was a full payment of £785, plus £82 for registration, ehich even then thought it expensive. Over a year later received a second invoice for a further £382.80 for extras?!!? On looking into them, there were 3 separate charges of £34.80ea, one each for receipts for the above payments and a third for sending the £382.80!!!

Ware and Kay, are also Pearsons and ward in Malton, I am in the process of using this company for my house sale, only because my mortgage company deals with them.
I would not recommend pearsons and ward at all, and I will inform my mortgage company when and if they manage to do what I pay them to do.
Communication is the key.
