I really appreciate all the support and the patience that my buying agent, Hester, has shown during these months of draining house hunting.
She would look with me through all the details of each apartment, giving me advice and listening to my doubts and concerns. She let me know when she believed that the house was not for me and she felt sorry when I would lose the apartments that I really liked.

I paid almost €4000 and this included the technical house inspection and the official evaluation report. Definitely worth it, as I did not have to arrange this by myself. As for the purchase agreement, they followed me step by step, highlighting the most important parts of the agreement, telling me whether it was a standard clause and why it was put there. They also helped me choose the notary.

It was my first purchase and I realised how important it is to be supported by an expert. It was not easy to buy a house in such a market and their analysis of the actual value of the property each time that I wanted to do a bidding was super useful to take the right decisions.

Working with Hester was great. She went above and beyond with answering my stupid questions. I managed to get the NHG guarantee thanks to her knowledge of the landscape which was better than that of the hypotheek advisor. Overall however, if it wasn't for the data scraping tool they have, I think the value for money is poor. I never met with the agent even when signing the final deed and collecting the keys which seems odd.

He answered all of our questions and was always reachable via email and phone, and always back to us with answer very quickly. Super handig platform! De data-gebaseerde inzichten en vergelijkingen met andere huizen in de buurt gaven me een veel beter beeld van de markt. Dit hielp me enorm bij het bepalen van een realistisch en strategisch bod. Het is fijn dat naast de bied adviezen die je krijgt van de makelaar, je mee kan kijken met zijn analyses en dat je zelf ook kan spelen met analyses maken.

We have been looking for a property to purchase for some time and Walter Living definitely made the process easier. Netherlands is very competitive market where patience and insights are key. They have been able to steer our bidding process better than we would have been able ourselves and having this type of advantage is pretty useful. Probably saved us few months of searching.

I did not end up buying a house, but I will use Walter as a tool in the future and hope to use their agents to help. I spoke with Joey in sales and then Paco as an agent. Bother were reliable, gave me a good feeling, did not rush me, looked into my questions even when we were leaning away from buying after all (due to mortgage rates). I cannot speak to whether they do a good job in the buying process, but the tool and customer service that I experienced was great. Hope to work with them again in the future!

I understand that it’s supposed to be all online support, but it might be a good idea to have some in person support especially for the first time buyers during the two signings, adds a bit of personal touch enhancing the whole experience.
