Op. Dr. Volkan Arayıcı is a general surgeon who has worked exclusively in bariatric and metabolic surgery since 2014. He graduated from Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and completed his specialist training in general surgery at Ege University in 2006. After years in public hospitals, where his focus was advanced laparoscopic surgery, he turned to the surgical treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. He has since performed more than 5,000 bariatric operations and is a member of IFSO, the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders. Procedures: gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, mini gastric bypass, revision surgery after a failed sleeve or gastric band, and the gastric balloon. Operations take place in a JCI- and TEMOS-accredited hospital in İzmir. Patients stay in the hospital for four nights until discharge; they are never transferred to a hotel after surgery. The surgeon visits every morning, and a nurse is on the ward around the clock. The whole stay in Turkey is five days: arrival and blood tests on day one, examinations and surgery on day two, discharge and airport transfer on day five. The all-inclusive package covers the operation, hospital stay, examinations, airport transfers, an interpreter, a companion in the patient's room and medication. Flights are not included. After returning home, patients are followed personally by Dr. Arayıcı for 12 months by video call and WhatsApp. Patients come mainly from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom and Turkey. Every enquiry is answered by the surgeon himself.

ich habe mich auch Anfang dieses Jahres operieren lassen, bin sehr zufrieden der Arzt Volkan Arayici ist ein Herzensmensch. Ein super Team alle waren sehr nett und ich hatte keine Probleme sehr zu empfehlen.

Vom Personal schwärme ich bis heute noch, sehr tolle Leute die sich rund um die Uhr um einen kümmern und sorgen. Die Op verlief super und ich war schnell auf den Beinen. Der Arzt ist auch ein sympathischer Mann der weiß was er tut.
Die Übersetzerin war auch bei jeder offenen Frage für uns da. Im ganzen bin ich sehr zufrieden 🙂👍

Isinin ehli ve güvenilir doktor , volkan bey ve asistanlari herzaman bir soru oldugunda gece gunduz fark etmiyor yardimci oluyor ve bu cok önemli !!! Güler yüzüyle samimiyetiyle ve isiyle ön planda olmaya calisan ,nadir doktorlardan birisi!!!!

very good experience, very good patient care, I really loved it a lot and I am very satisfied with the hospital services, the surgery was great and excellent and I am recovering perfectly, the changes are also seen in me and I am very proud.

Couldn’t recommend Dr Volkan enough
Couldn’t recommend Dr Volkan enough. From start to finish the whole process has been great. Kaan was my go to contact and he was so helpful and informative before I travelled. When I arrived at the hospital I was so impressed with the thorough checks and examinations that were done before the surgery. I felt so calm and comfortable and in very safe hands. Dr Volkan is fantastic at what he does and is a very friendly great guy. I have since lost 3 stone in 9 weeks so far and feel fantastic! So happy and Kaan still keeps in touch regularly to make sure I’m ok and not having any issues which I’m not. Couldn’t recommend enough
